We switched to another dentist in the Mission Valley area which turned out to be a big mistake. After reading yelp reviews for dentists in our area we decided to try Rancho San Diego Dental. My wife had an issue with a crown that was done by the previous dentist and so she met with Dr. Christensen on her first visit. After my wife approved of this dental office, a few weeks later I went there for my six-month cleaning. Dr. Christensen is truly amazing. He's calm and is always smiling. He makes you feel like you're in good hands. Last year when I had a root canal, Dr. Christensen called me later that night to check how was I doing. How many dentists do you know that do that? We now recommend Dr. Christensen to all friends and family. Not too long ago Rancho San Diego Dental added a pediatric dentist. We took our kids to meet Dr. Peter Frandsen to see how they would like the new pediatric dentist. To our surprise the kids felt very comfortable there and in fact enjoyed their visit and loved the Lego table. Now our entire family goes to the same dental office! Thank you RSDD!!!

She inguered my daughter's gum, a small bruise and then got upset when my daughter wasn't taking her instructions well for an X-ray. There is a specific way to work with children, rewording things to get a child to understand you is one of them. And as an RDA myself, I was not too happy with that. Trauma with dental offices start as a child. The other assistant who helped my son was amazing and calm, she was blonde.

I was having issues with…read morean upper molar and Dr. Jamma realized that I needed a root canal, because of a crack, after looking at the x-rays and testing the molar. She referred me to a local "Endo" who performed the root canal, but I not only returned to Singing Hills Dentistry for the new crown, but for a second on the adjacent tooth and come cavity work on one of my wisdom teeth. I was very impressed with Dr. Jamma and her staff at this dentistry. Everyone was very polite, had very good senses of humor, and were compassionate. Christina at the front desk was not only friendly, but also very thorough in explaining what my insurance covered and what I had to pay out of pocket. In other words, there were no surprises. Thank you Christina. Dr. Jamma was clear on what needed to be done to fix what needed to be fixed, she gave me options, and as the work was being completed, she not only took the time to explain what she was doing, she continuously asked if I was okay and if I felt any pain. That was very nice of her. Thank you! Gloria and Carla are Dr. Jamma's assistance and they are great. Gloria prepped the areas for Dr. Jamma. She was very friendly and gentle as much as one can be, in the line of work she is in. Carla, was tasked with removing the temporary crowns and setting the new ones. She was phenomenal with her job. She kept at it, until the permanent crowns were set comfortably in my mouth and did interfere with other teeth. I even stated to her that I liked the way she was a "perfectionist" in setting those crowns. She, too was very nice and friendly. Well done Carla. I also had the opportunity to get to know Debbie, the dental hygienist, who cleaned my teeth on my first visit. She was amiable and full of great advice regarding teeth cleaning. The office offers a nice waiting room with filtered water. I like the flat screens they have in the rooms with relaxing images and videos. I will be returning in about a month for further work and most likely another crown on a tooth that has a large chip. More to come.

The cleaning felt rushed and uncomfortable from the beginning. Fluoride was applied before my teeth were cleaned, which I found unusual. The ultrasonic scaling was done very quickly and caused significant pain around my gumline. Several times I reacted to the pain, but the hygienist did not stop or check to see if I was okay. I also felt the cleaning was not thorough. Most of the attention seemed to be on the inner and front surfaces of my teeth, with very little scaling in some areas. My mouth was not rinsed or suctioned often enough, and I could taste blood during the procedure. No mouth rinse was offered at the end. The entire cleaning took less than 24 minutes, and my gums were sore for several days afterward. I have always had wonderful experiences with Briona. She was gentle, thorough, skilled, and genuinely cared about my comfort and oral health. I hope the clinic takes my feedback seriously. The hygienist who worked on me needs to be more patient, gentle, thorough, and attentive to her patients' comfort. Having said that, if I return, I would not want to have this particular hygienist clean my teeth again.
