Just upset, had a good experience with the dentist and his assistant putting on my crown but during the appointment prior I was told I wouldn't have to pay anything and when I showed up yesterday I get a surprise bill of over $200 bcuz the front desk "made a mistake" and my insurance wouldn't cover the extra on the invoice. Im not very trusting as it is and especially with my finances. The dentist is expensive and with the amount of money that I brought into that office with all work that's been done in my mouth im borderline about to go into debt. My dentist for more than 20 yrs. Very caring, great pt bedside manner, he makes pain go away (he does not skimp on the anesthesia). My utmost comfort is always his priority. He will clearly explain what needs to be done, will recommend the necessary procedures only. He has the best staff that is helpful, efficient, and very friendly. Dr. Lichter is very thorough, and detail oriented. Insurance coverage, can be very confusing, They are always there to help. They will call on your behalf without hesitation. I was unsatisfied with my current dentist, and consulted (surprise!) Yelp for a dentist nearby. Several five star reviews came up, and I decided to trust Dr. Lichter for my dental care needs. My initial visit was nothing less than extraordinary. Numerous X-rays were taken for review by Dr. Lichter. My next stop was with a technician who performed an excellent cleaning and also offered some advice about brushing, after noticing that I am a frequent flosser. Then the exam by Dr. Lichter. After reviewing my X-rays and examining my teeth, he determined that I have no obvious cavities or aother dental issues, but recommended a close watch on several teeth. Dr. Lichter and his staff were very professional and courteous, and I felt very well served by them. My insurance, however, did not completely cover the claims and for the first time ever, I was required to pay for my exam and cleaning. It was not a significant amount, but compared to zero, it is. I'm thinking it was due to the comprehensive first exam and X-rays. Perhaps my next visit will be completely covered. read more

I have been going to Dr. Lichter's office for just under 1 year now and feel I can give a good honest review. Background: Like many folks the dentist can be an intimidating experience and in the past, I have had less than pleasant ones. With past dentists Crowns have fallen out repeatedly only days after being being put in, failed root canals, a crown seperating from the tooth, etc. After a failed root canal a couple years ago I decided to go out and do my own research on a highly rated Endodontist to do the root canal retreat. I'm glad I did my own research instead of going to the first one offered because it was a great experience and 2 years post that retreatment it is holding strong. Now I believe good dental providers follow good dental providers and I asked that Endodontist office what DDS dental offices they recommend. One of their two recommendations was Dr. Lichter's office. Research and booking a cleaning: I did my own research this time after the recommendation and his office had glowing reviews on Yelp and Google. It is hard to find anything, let along a dental office, with a perfect 5.0 rating. I called and after a great phone discussion in early 2024 decided to setup a cleaning. I did and it was a great experience. Everyone was very welcome, friendly, and professional. Beyond that I found Dr. Lichter to be experienced, friendly, professional, and has a great sense of humor. Now Dr. Lichter's office is out of network for me but thankfully my dental insurance covers out of network dentists, just at a slightly higher out of pocket cost. I can't stress enough that after the dental experiences I have had in the past I'm fine paying a little more but having the work done right. Dental experiences: I can't stress how great everyone is at Dr. Lichter's office. From the front office staff to dental hygenists everyone is friendly, fun, prompt, and professional. I have needed a lot of work done including multiple crowns. Everytime everything has gone smoothly. No crowns falling out like they did in the past, crowns aren't too close so I can't floss and not too spaced apart so food continually gets trapped inbetween like it had been from other dentists in the past. Note they are clear every tooth is unique and you never know how it'll react - which I appreciate. Beyond that their office is straight forward with me. Dr. Lichter tells me exactly what he recommends, gives me options both short term and long term, and looks out to ensure I'm not overspending. There is no "upselling" here like with other dental offices saying you need this extra cleaning or that extra thing. They're straight forward and honest. I can now say I have found my prefered dental office and fully recommend Dr. Lichter and his team to anyone in need of a DDS. They are open Monday through Thursday, closed Friday through Sunday. Office has its own small parking lot with 7 spots or so they share with one other unaffiliated office and there is free 2 hour street parking in front. read more

If you are looking for old fashioned, compassionate dental care in a small office, this is the place for you. Entering the office you are greeted warmly by the receptionist. Even though I was new to them, I immediately felt very welcome. They treated all patients with this warmth. This staff was professional and took obvious pride in their work. The size of the small office does not keep them from using all modern technologies.
