I have been a long time patient of Dr Lichter. He and his caring staff have taken very good care of me. When my Mother was still alive she went there too. It feels more like an extended family than the usual cold relationship you might have with your Dentist. When my Mother passed they were very thoughtful towards me. When I had cancer...they were very caring. I can only hope that Dr Lichter practices forever...because he and his staff are like family. Let me start off by saying I had a huge phobia of going to the Dentist. It's trauma from a bad experience at another Dentist. When I started coming to Dr. Lichter a few years ago, I needed sedation for everything even a simple cleaning. I'm proud to say I went in today to take care of a cavity with no sedation needed. Service is good, Dr. Derek does a great job in general. He did struggle when putting my crown, I felt discomfort and pain and had to go back a couple times to have it get check. Also, their equipment does need to be updated to todays technology ( Me comparing it with other newer places). The 4 stars come from the appointments. I was told that I would get a call back when something opens up, its been 15 months and still no call. I always say, it the staff tells a client they will do something, they should! I do not like going to the dentist, I've had past experiences with other dentists that have left me with nothing but fear and anxiety for any current dental visit....including cleanings...so sad. I can't say enough how wonderful my appointment was with Dr. Lichter. The office staff were professional, kind, and accommodating. My previous experiences with other dentist can NOT compare with Dr. Lichter's Office. I am definitely going back. I was initially really nervous but Mary the x-ray tech really took her time and tried to make me comfortable. She was warm and friendly. I really liked her. In addition the hygienist was lovely. She really listened to me and took her time cleaning my teeth. Btw she really did a good job. My teeth have never felt as clean as they did after she cleaned them! I really liked how Dr. Lichter came in and treated me like I've been his patient for a long time. He was warm and inviting. He also was very thorough when looking at the x-rays, checking out my teeth, and then making his recommendations. I felt like he really cared. He explained everything & answered all the questions I had. It wasn't rushed. I really appreciate that! I highly recommend them! I found Dr. Lichter ten plus years ago after some very bad experiences with other dentists, and I wish I could give him and his staff 100 stars. He is always patient, kind and caring and is the best dentist I have ever gone to. He does an excellent job, pays attention to detail, and will go the extra step to make sure that things like crowns match your other teeth. He never tries to do work that is not needed, which I greatly appreciate. He is so great that I drive 107 miles each way to see him now. Was seen for the first time yesterday and the office staff was wonderful. Dr Lichter was really great and he took his time and I didn't feel rushed. It was a nice touch that although there is a parking lot on the other side of the ceiling to floor windows on one side of the office, they created a small garden that staff and patients could see instead when looking out.
