At my first visit, Dr. Lichter noticed gum issues that the others had not addressed. He and his staff made me feel comfortable, and I could tell that my dental health was their priority. Getting crowns usually isn't fun, but I felt no pain or discomfort at any point. Dr. Lichter is a skilled professional and, in my opinion, an artist at his craft. He is kind, caring, and genuinely concerned about you as both a patient and a person. I've had plenty of hits and misses with dentists since moving to San Diego 22 years ago--mostly misses. Once I reached my car, I got a call from the front desk staff letting me know that actually, they could see me today. I was pleasantly surprised, and very appreciative! I was seen by Dr. Mordecai Lightman. I must say, I had some anxiety going into my dental appointment because I hadn't been as on top of my flossing as I should have been. I have been trying to rectify that and reestablish that as a habit, but I was still nervous about what they would say when I arrived. I had even pushed back my appointment once or twice as a result. Thankfully, that anxiety and dread was unfounded. Dr. Lightman was SO kind and nonjudgmental. He really took his time on my teeth, was very gentle, explained every aspect of my care, and even took the time to double check that I knew how to floss correctly and showed me how flossing should feel like. He was a delight to chat with as well! I am sad that he's generally retired and only picks up here and there. He's a true gem of a human and a gift to the practice. I wish I could have him every time! Everyone I have encountered at this practice is incredibly kind, patient, and thorough. I couldn't recommend this dental office enough :').

I came in at 230 same day. I spoke to three different ladies and they were all extremely caring and genuinely helpful. Coming in, I was greeted with warm smiles and I told them I was in pain and they were extra welcoming and eager to assist. I had my 7 year old with me and they reassured me I can have him in the dental office too. (Kid friendly!) since my son was waiting with me while I was getting a procedure done, the other ladies were very nice to charge my phone and change his seat to a comfy one! Grateful for the extra care given :) My dental assistant was Jenny and from the get, she was extremely careful and very sweet. I told her I was in pain and she was very quick to help and make sure I was comfy. I also had the newest Dentist, Dr. Rice. (Former resident at a veterans hospital). Not over thrilled with having multiple doctors as they each have their own way of doing things. Second filling done and its poor quality work. Sharp edge left, and not properly grinded down for bite. Cant feel that though since my mouth is numb. Had to reschedule to have that fixed. Went back in months later for a cleaning and again have a different doctor who does my care. I prefer to have the same doctor all the time, but having a different doctor each visit left me disappointed. To make matters worse, I write this a couple years after getting the fillings. The filling from the second doctor cracked and pieces broke off while eating. Went to a different dentists office who fixed the cracked filling and made mention that the other filling which wad done here was done poorly and re-filled that knew. No problems with that procedure at all.
