Tried to reserve a table on Friday via Open Table but the only reservations you could make was their Chef Experience, it said to call the restaurant. I called at 4 pm and they said They don't take reservations for Saturday nights, did I want to change nights. I explained that my daughters were coming for Father's Day Saturday. So the answer was come after 8PM they may have seating, not sure why they knew that if no reservations were made So Saturday we get there at 7:40 and the first question was DO YOU HAVE RESERVATIONS? I then said I was told they don't take them. The receptionist was extremely SNOTTY saying oh yeah. You can have a table but need to be done by 8:15 because they have a reservation. My daughters could see me getting perturbed and said let's sit outside, I agreed so out we went, the waitress Hailey was nice but new and did a good job. But beyond her control when I asked for the pork chop it was not available, the beer cheese steak next not available, so I settled for a burger asked for it med rare, it was well done. Also I was drinking their Ryfe beer a signature beer had 2 and oh yeah the keg kicked. How do you run out of your SIGNATURE BEER . Very strange experience. Walked in with reservations and was seated in another room away from everyone. Asked to have seat changed and was seated in bar area. The food was not at all great. shrimp crostini ok. Before ordering asked if the special ryfe fries where fresh cut and were told no but you would not be able to tell they are frozen they are good. Fries total puffy mushy inside with nothing special about them. On to the wings. Tonight is wing night and you would think they got this. Was told by server that yes you can get a flight of 12 wings, 2 each of the sauces on them as the special. What we recieved was 12 fried wings no sauce on them with missing blue cheese. Then asked what sauce you want and was given a plate with 6 wing sauces in small dishes. What! Wings are to be sauced up to be any good. Wont be back. read more

Ordered pickup from here and pretty much everything was bad, even without taking price into consideration. Bad for cheap food, bad for expensive food. The Mahi mahi tacos had Guac and sour cream together on the top which was a pretty gross mix, with some shredded lettuce and tomatoes. Truly, it was barely edible. If there's a crema it shouldn't be mixed with wet Guac on the top of the taco. They were well packaged with a cardboard taco separator which was nice. My partner had the crab cake entree which I believe was $26, served with corn and spinach. It was forgettable and he was still hungry afterward. Also ordered truffle fries which were decent. Served with ketchup, should have asked if they had some aioli. Overall, won't be back. Lots of other places to try whenever we're in town. read more

The menu is somewhat limited (out of appetizer food) We ordered burgers, it took 54 minutes for the first one to come out, and 12 minutes after that the second burger came out. We didn't need the kids experiencing this. When I got the bill the salad was STILL on it despite asking for it to be removed and then having to ask them to remove it again was super frustrating. One hand doesn't have a clue what the other is doing. We had to ask for water refills multiple times. The nephew never got his wing order and we had to ask for those. Did I mention already how we were the ONLY table in the place?! lol. The food is decent, but the back and front of the house need some fine tuning. Menu is interesting and has lots of variety. We had heard about this place from some friends who have a home in Ventnor and decided that on a beautiful day to make the trek to AC from our home in Marlton. Not only was the weather perfect, but our experience at the restaurant was the same. We had an early reservation (4:30pm) as we knew a lot of people would be going out on a beautiful Saturday night. NJ had just opened to 25% capacity inside but we chose outside dining for two. We did go inside to use the facilities, which were clean. The bar looked enticing so I can't wait until we are able to all go back to normal one day. And the rest of the restaurant was very nicely appointed. We started with a quarantini (cucumber) and a regular martini with olives. Perfect. Next was an artichoke appetizer with tortilla chips. Perfect mix of artichokes and different cheeses. I don't get to eat French fries at home and they had THREE different choices so I knew they had to be good ... and they were great. I ordered the truffle fries. Perfect. My husband ordered the crab cakes as an entree and said they were one of the best he had eaten. I ordered the appetizer scallops, which were on a bed of spinach and just one less scallop than the entree portion. Perfect. The service was quick and friendly. The outside dining was inviting and clean. We will definitely make a stop here every time we head to the shore and AC. And maybe even on a random beautiful day. read more

My husband and I personally did not mind hanging out waiting, but the hostess immediately grabbed the attention of the manager/owner and he made sure that we had a seat to wait in and apologized. Their outdoor dining gives you a rustic feel which I like, they've got an endless amount of alcohol to choose from, the service is friendly, and the food is delicious. Not to mention, the owner John even came out to ask us how the food was and if he could get us anything. How many places can you say that that has happened to you? The only reason I'm giving a 4 star instead of a 5 is because the service was slow. We waited roughly 10 minutes for our drinks after ordering them and about 15-20 for someone to come over and ask us if we wanted anything else after we were done eating. I usually don't write a negative review of a restaurant but this time I am forced to do so. Last evening my wife and I drove around Atlantic City looking for a spot to enjoy a nice dinner out. After deciding to pass Ryfe and go to another restaurant in town but when we got there to my surprise they were closed so we went around the corner to another restaurant basically the same quality restaurants where bread and a salad is served with all dinners. They were closed also! We drove to Ventnor once again looking for yet another restaurant and they were ALL closed. Not by choice we went back to Ryfe, we sat in an empty room meaning there was nobody in the place! We ordered a couple beverage's and then we ordered our dinners. The server was fair but this is about the restaurant. My wife ordered the pork chop dinner which I have had in the past in which she really enjoyed, myself I ordered the blackened tuna. After waiting about 20 minutes in a cold room with NO atmosphere, no music, no people an empty room. Oh yeah, no bread no salad! Our dinners were served and our server asked me to cut into my tuna to see if it was cooked to my liking. For me it seemed ok, only to cut into a piece and yes it was rare, I ordered medium. And I am not being picky but I tasted the vegetables they also were COLD! I did mention that we were the only customers in the dining room. My meal came back and it was very good. Now my beverages, my wife ordered a chardonnay and I ordered my adult beverage on the rocks. Once my dinner was served we had another round. We decided not to have desert or coffee after the meal we just wanted to roll (no pun intended). When we got home my wife looked over the tab and noticed not only did they charge $27.00 me for doubles, I ordered a drink NOT doubles, and they also charged me $4..00 for the rocks!
