Price Busters Plumbing & Sewer - Service with a smile!

    Price Busters Plumbing & Sewer

Late in the day I spotted water leaking from under one of my toilets, not knowing yet that my…read morestore's sewer line had backed up as well. It was the weekend, so I expected higher rates and started calling around. It was about 5 p.m. on Saturday when I tried Price Busters, and to my surprise someone actually picked up. It was the owner, Zach. He gave me a fair quote on what I thought would be a simple job, pulling the toilet, checking the line with a camera, and installing a new wax ring. I told him I'd call around. After hanging up, I reached out to three other plumbing companies. Not one company answered their phone. That alone told me a lot. Zach said he could come out the next morning, so I called him back and asked if he'd meet me before we opened on Sunday to try to get the blockage cleared. He agreed without hesitation. Sunday morning, Zach showed up on time and spent several hours trying everything he could. He didn't rush. He looked at the issue from different angles even from the rooftop and he really made an effort to find a cheaper fix before landing on what ended up being the big solution, which was digging out the pipe and installing a clean-out so they could jet the blockage from outside the building. I appreciated that he didn't jump straight to the expensive route. The next morning his crew arrived early and had already dug a five-foot hole beside the building by the time I got there. Logan was fantastic. He had a great attitude, stayed polite, and worked hard without a single complaint. They were out there the entire day, digging and working in the rain well into the night. Watching them made me appreciate how tough this job really is. It's messy, humbling, and honestly the kind of job most people want nothing to do with, but they handled it with pride. They did such a solid job that I've already asked them to come back every six months to jet my French drains. If you're looking for a plumbing company that actually answers the phone, shows up, and works as if your problem is their problem, call Price Busters. Zach and his team earned every one of these five stars.

Their staff (phone staff and on-site plumbers) are professional, communicate well and get the job done. I should call out though that you might be able to save a few $ if you went with an independent but that's kind of the case for most home repair/servicing companies. I've never used them for Electric and/or HVAC so I can't speak to that.

This company has changed. And not for the better…read more A week ago I called to schedule an appointment for a leaky faucet in my house. An AI voice answered the phone, asked me why I was calling, told me it was going to look up my account details, said it had a problem and that someone would contact me to follow up, and then hung up on me. A few hours later I got a text from "Cameron". I complained to "Cameron" about the experience I had from the AI phone answerer. "Cameron" apologize and told me that such an experience would frustrate him too...then "Cameron" decided to be transparent with me and tell me that he was in fact AI as well and "his" real name was "Carson". We went back and forth about 6 times to explain the problem I was having and to set up an appointment. Then "Cameron" told me that the time we worked out wasn't confirmed yet and that someone would be calling me to confirm the time. Thanks, "Cameron". This was Friday around 4:00PM. THE NEXT MORNING, a human being (I think) texted me from the same number to confirm the appointment. After I let them know how unhappy I was with the AI scheduling service, a human (I think) did call me and apologized for it. Then, on the day of the appointment, the technician arrived an hour and a half after the 12:00-16:00 window we had set up. I had to call them at 16:30 to ask if the technician was coming and they told me he would be there soon. When he did arrive, in the middle of me making dinner for my family, he told me that the faucet would need to be replaced and that it would be $750 (!!) in labor to fix it. Then I was charged $83 for his time (which I guess would be rolled into the service). So, in the end I still had a leaky faucet and I was out $83 with the option to pay $670 to replace a faucet (plus the cost of the faucet itself). For that price, I'm just going to do it myself. Then the spam texts started coming from "Cameron" asking about the estimate. I got one every day until I told it to stop texting me. This company used to be great but I'm going to be looking around the next time I need a plumber. Please ditch this stupid AI system. Please don't charge your customers if you're extremely late for your own four hour window - especially if the diagnosis takes five minutes and is "I can't fix it - replace the faucet".
