The first thing you need to know is that I absolutely loved this little sandwich shop. I guess it's more than sandwiches but that is what my husband and I dropped in for on a Saturday afternoon. They have a great menu of different options and you can choose which kind of bagel to put your sandwich on. There are also drinks and smoothies available. I got a turkey sandwich and my husband opted for one of the breakfast options with egg, cheese, and bacon. Both sandwiches were absolutely delicious. It's the kind of food you finish and immediately want more. The service was also commendable. We felt noticed and valued despite the shop being a bit busy. Would we come back? Absolutely!! Although the place is comfortable enough and the prices are pretty much accessible, the service leaves you wishing you would've gone somewhere else. I asked for a black coffee from all their options and I would love to say it tasted bad, it tasted like nothing at all. The bagels on the other hand are pretty tasty and there is a great variety of both bagels and fillings, so I guess it's still a win. read more

I happen to look up breakfast places near me and MAN am I glad I did! I got the sunrise bagel breakfast sandwich on a plain bagel and my boyfriend got the same but added sausage on a cheese bagel. $16 so not too bad because the size is good and it tasted sooo quality! We will be regulars from now on and I can't wait! read more

I used to love this place. Last two times we've received baseballs. I'm from New York and they should be ashamed to sell these bastardized "bagels". Only giving two stars because they USED to have actual bagels with holes delivered. Last time ordering from them. read more

Ryan's Bagels is THE BEST local place around for breakfast and lunch. They're even open Sundays which is great for Utah LOL. The owners and staff are very friendly, bagel sandwiches and chocolate/strawberry croissants are amazing. It's kid friendly and my five year old loves it. We love all their coffee drinks and boba smoothies. If you don't like boba, just order a smoothie sans boba. We highly recommend Ryan's Bagels and can't say enough good things about it. They also sell bags of day-old bagels that are AMAZING. Their homemade cream cheeses (especially the jalapeno) are TO DIE FOR! Fresh produce and my husband is a picky pastrami eater but can't stop eating their pastrami which he calls "high quality" pastrami. Love this place! If you haven't tried Ryan's, you need to! They're open til 4:00 pm on most days. read more

Easy to understand menus, a whole assortment of different foods you can buy, gum, candy, chips, smoothies, coffee ect. NOT JUST BAGELS! I had high hopes for this place. I guess the fantasy I had I my head didn't live up to what this place was. I was hoping for a wide assortment of fresh bagels with the charm of a NY bagel shop. What I got was a small almost sad assortment bagels and "other pastries" and in a semi-clean shop. Just meh. I still, against my gut feeling, ordered a bagel. Hoping for one of those hole in the wall home runs. I ordered an everything bagel with cream cheese to-go. It was nothing to rave about. I actually had to pull out my every but the bagel seasoning to make it taste the way I was hoping. I personally will not be coming back. It didn't live up to what I was hoping for. I would have given less stars, but it wasn't their fault that I had over hyped them in my head. So I be fair and give a middle of the scale rating. It wasn't great, nor terrible. Found this place on an outing with my mother-in-law. We like to wonder around and try out new spots on our Sunday outings. We were happy with the food and service and the dining area was clean. We had the California Dream and Ham, both on croissants. I also had an iced americano with was better than I anticipated for a non-coffee forward spot. It is a little more on the bodega style setup with lot's of items available in their shop. The food is good but setup for volume. We stopped in around 11:30am and the whole shop was run by one person. They did a great job of balancing the people ahead and behind us so no one felt unseen but without letting wait times get too long for the people ordering. I will definitely be coming back. I was so excited to try a local bagel place other than Einstein's. I got the California Dream and an Iced White Mocha coffee. My husband got a plain bagel with cream cheese and a Mixed Berry smoothie. My son got the Sunrise. My sandwich was lacking in flavor. I was hoping for something fresh and delectable! Sadly I just didn't get it. The sprouts took over every bite. The mushrooms were super "farm-y" tasting. Eggs were very bland and if you told me there was cheese on it I would have laughed. It just wasn't great and I was super sad. I tried adding salsa and hot sauce but I ended up giving up on it. My husband said he wasn't expecting a lot from a plain bagel and plain cream cheese. I get what plain means, but he said it was completely tasteless. And his shake was one of the worst we've ever had. Mixed berry should be just that, but they must have put some sort of extra ingredient in it to make it taste like potpourri. Lavender maybe? It tasted like essential oils were dumped into it. My little guy said his was good. I tried a bite and it was fine. The bacon added a lot of flavor to to what would be a lack luster bagel sanny. I'm bummed! I really wanted to like it but we ended up throwing away most of our food. My coffee was good! We kept that. But we probably won't be going back for another try. Sorry! Best of luck! read more

A wonderful discovery tucked away in a strip mall. We picked up a couple sandwiches on tasty bagels and they were packed full of flavor and so filling. Delicious bagels for really anytime of the day. They have breakfast specific bagels and lunch type bagels you can purchase. Came in the morning and they were one of the few places open around 7 am. You come in and its a small little place with a few tables and chairs so it seems to be mainly a place to grab your sandwich and go! I got 2 types of bagels because you know, I had to try them all. Croissant 5 and breakfast 2 were my orders and man they are thick. Great solid sandwich and a great deal. They do something different with their eggs to where it is fluffy! It's amazing and love the texture. I obviously had to try their coffee and man they have Vietnamese style coffee and it packs a punch! It taste great and seriously you can take everything on the road and still have it taste fresh when you eat it. read more

Real bagels are boiled first then baked on a wood rack. I'm not sure any place in Utah does this. Moved here from New York and I still have not found any bagel remotely close to any bagel you can get in NYC. Its been 13 years I'll stop looking. read more

Love, LoVe, LOVE this bagel shop! We were California transplants looking for a really great bagel shop. We missed our local Bagel Bakery. A dozen years later we stumbled upon Ryan"s, thanks to a Wasatch Savings promotion. We couldn't have been more impressed. So much so that we will bypass local places and drive 25 minutes for freshly baked bagels! There is a great variety of bagels and specialty cream cheeses. I love their bagel chips as well. If you call ahead they will even make them special for you! The shop is tucked into an older shopping center; the shop is clean and the staff is super friendly. If you are in the south part of the Salt Lake Valley craving a bagel, this is your best option by far IMHO. The food is real, fresh & tasty, made promptly and delivered with a smile. It's tricky to get the crust of a bagel just the right crunchiness and the inside soft and airy. Ryan does it. It's so great to see a small cafe like this with real, great-tasting hand-made bakery products and sandwiches... it's a real refreshing change from the bland, corporate shops you see all over. We need to support small businesses like this in our community that do a great job serving us but struggle against the marketing machines of larger chains. read more

Immediately I liked the vibe-it's an edgy, totally local and co-created space with folks from the area. There is a bulletin board in the vestibule with fliers and posters about current events and services-totally haphazard and chaotic. Inside, there's art all over the place, unique decor and a calendar of events that look to be different support groups that meet here. How cool. This isn't a polished, bougie or uptight place. This is for real folks with real personalities and a bit of grit. And I like it. The coffee's pretty good too. ;-)

Aloha has a ton of offerings from coffee, teas, and a variety of food to choose from. I usually go for the healthier option of yogurt, chia seed pudding, overnight oats, or cheese and a hard boiled egg but have also had their breakfast sandwich which is on point. Their service is always great and there's plenty of seating to work or sit in your thoughts.

We had a whole steamed sea bass with ginger and scallions and it was sooooo tasty. Dim sum items are delicious too and can be ordered all day. Their food is great for takeout, but if you want a table, the restaurant is tiny, with only one table large enough to accommodate a big group. They do take reservations and welcome pre-ordering dishes that take longer like clay pot rice, duck, or whole fish. We enjoyed a wonderful Chinese New Year dinner with my MIL and were grateful to have a reservation.

There wasn't many tables in my opinion for many customers if you plan to stay there and do homework or do work on your laptop. The store itself is neat, and there's plenty to see. The store's population/crowd appears to be very passionate for what the store offers and that was cool to see. I would definitely come back for their coffee. The only thing I noticed was that the wifi was a bit slow for my taste.
