I got hit in the head at the dojo today and the bow broke. I put a different one on but it was the wrong kind and opened too far. I had just gotten a reminder from my usual place but my wife insisted I go to RX. Really glad I went. GREG found an old bow, not a perfect fit, but close enough till I get some new glasses. I made an appointment w them and I look forward to it since my wife and son both go there and the staff was awesome! read more

I purchased a pair if Oakley prescription sunglasses from Rx Optical/MyEyeDr. on 4/30/26. On 6/30/26 I cleaned the lenses with a standard lens cleaner. As always there was over spray onto the frames. The next morning when I picked up the glasses from my desk they fell apart (top right portion of frame). On 6/30/26 I returned to Rx asking for a possible explanation as to why this happened. Their clerk was confused stating "this is something not expected of Oakley products". I pointed out to her that I am the guy who never abuses his tools or stuff. I wore the glasses properly and cared for them properly. There was no logical reason for them to fall apart. The Rx manager suggested I should have purchased their $30 protection plan. I had to purchase a new pair of frames. On a whim I took the broken frames home and glued them back together and then sprayed lens cleaner on them over the course of two weeks. Sure enough not only did they fall apart at the original break, but also at the axis where the stem connects to the main frame body. Can I prove they sold me a pair of glue repaired frames no I cannot. Will I ever return to Rx Optical no I will not. I am forwarding a copy of this review to Oakley glasses. Tim E read more

Horrible service. After spending thousands of dollars with this company for my family's eye care over the years, I will never go back there after today. I ordered new contacts and was told if they didn't work out, they would take back the contacts including the packages that were opened but unused. After waiting in the office for 30 minutes and listening to the assistant manager talk to customers about a vacation to DC, I finally asked for help again. Upon returning the contacts, the assistant manager advised that they won't take the opened but unused contacts back. It was a 90 day supply with 3 smaller packages inside and they refused to take the 2 smaller unopened packages back. The assistant manager was argumentative and arrogant. Upon leaving the store, the assistant manager very sarcastically said "Have a nice day". There are many, many other providers out there for eye care and my family will definitely be finding a new eye care provider. Do better RX Optical. read more

don't be three minutes late because they'll make you stand there for 5 minutes and then tell you they have a 7 minute window before it's considered a "no-show" and cancel your appointment. read more

They wasn't respecting us and I did examine for my eyes and they gave us glass which really hurt me and I couldn't see for 1 month until I went to doctor and he fixed my rye. read more

Everyone at this location needs some lessons in customer service. There was no greeting upon walking into the business. When we were called back we were told the doctor wanted an additional test but it was an extra $40. The doctor didn't acknowledge said test, and said very few words during the exam. After the exam, we went back out to the waiting area, where 4 employees were sitting with only one other customer to wait additional time to be checked out. Not certain if the prescription we received is accurate because the questions asked between changing settings were few. Typically they ask if it's better or worse between setting changes. The doctor had no people skills, and we have zero confidence that that prescription is correct. We will not be returning. read more

Absolutely horrible customer service. I am forced to fill out a form declaring my contact preference. I indicate no contact via text or email because its a business phone. They text me multiple times and email. They call me multiple times. Nobody knows who has called the customer or the status. 1/2 of my order hadn't arrived but they didn't know that. I wasted 2 hours of my time trying to.pick up what I discovered was half my order.. You pay twice the price as any other optical store and get treated disrespectfully. I was hung up on in mid-sentence. I will no.longer use this self entitled glasses store. They think they are a doctors office. They are a store full of uneducated clerks. read more

Wow. So I am writing this from San Diego, California. I left my contacts in Michigan and can't see, and unsure what to do, I called my neighborhood RxOptical for help. They helped me figure out faxing, and sent my prescription to my hotel. Because the San Diego shop is having trouble with their fax system, RxOptical gave them my prescription over the phone. I am so grateful. On my way to get my temp contacts right now. Amazing people. Amazing customer service. I also love their shop and docs, but this puts them way above the call of duty. read more

I purchased a pair of Progressive lens Ray Ban sunglasses a few weeks ago. A young man assisted me (I think Alex was his name) and was very helpful. After wearing the glasses the first time I realized that my driving vision was very poor and that I had to tip my head down to have good distance vision and to get the best sun blocking. I went back in and an assistant manager waited on me. She checked the glasses and agreed that the vision levels were not ideal. I also mentioned the issue the lack of good darkening. I was then AMAZED! She offered to remake the lens and change the style of tinting. I never expected this kind of service. She was not going to let me leave until all my concerns were addressed. I used my "new" sunglasses on a business trip this week (10 hors drive time) an they were fantastic! Thank you Rx Optical!!!! read more

Sometimes​ when you walk in to get contacts, you end up waiting 30 mins.........and wonder where the heck all the employees went?!?!?!?

I'm visiting from Cincinnati and accidentally grabbed two sleeves of right contacts instead of a right and left! Rx Optical got me squared away with a new sleeve of left contacts after a quick call to my home eye doctor. They saved my vacation (and my husband from my complaining)! Thank you!! read more

I called around to several eye places in the area for the cheapest contact eye exam, and found it at Rx Optical - $77 with the credit union discount. When I came in for my exam, Dr. Brown was wonderful - polite, engaging, and clearly skilled. She gave me some free trial contacts, some of which were not in that day, so I had to return the next week to pick them up. Great experience with a nice location and friendly staff. read more
