As an adult who has worn glasses since 6th grade, I am happy to have discovered Dobbs. Dobbs has a frame for you whether you are going for a classic, trendy, nerdy, retro, naughty librarian, or a wholesome look. This family owned business offers service and eye exams of high quality as well. Dobbs would not look or feel out of place if it were located on the corner of Oak and Michigan Ave.

I purchased a pair of Oakley prescription sunglasses on 4/30/26. On 6/29/26 I cleaned lenses with…read moreapproved lens cleaner. As always there was over spray on the frames. The next morning when I picked up the glasses from my desk they fell apart (top right portion of frame). On 6/30/26 I returned to Rx to for an explanation of why this happened. The clerk was somewhat mystified as well, stating that "this is something not expected from Oakley products". I pointed out that I am the "guy" who never abuses his tools. I wore the glasses properly and took care of them properly this should not have happened. Rx's manager suggested I should have purchased their $30 protection plan. So I had to buy new frames. On a whim I took the broken frames home and glued them together and then over the course of two weeks sprayed lens cleaner on them. Sure enough they fell apart. Can I prove they sold me glue repaired frames no I cannot. Will I ever return to Rx no I will not. Tim E.

I have used Frames Unlimited many times and am always thrilled with the results. The people who…read morework there are truly artists. They always have fantastic suggestions for frames and colors for matting. My husband made a wood burning project as a kid that we found in the attic, and I wanted to have it framed for him as a surprise. The project turned out amazing and it is due to the artistry with which the project was approached. They suggested a really cool rustic frame with a very different mat that I never would have thought of. It made for such a meaningful gift. I've been to other places where there might be one or two people who truly have a good eye, but at Frames Unlimited on West Main in Kalamazoo, they are all fantastic! Pricey, but worth it for beautifully done work that lasts a lifetime!

Before I get into it, yes, custom framing is expensive. This place doesn't seem much more or less…read moreexpensive than the other places in town, but I know it can be kind of a shock for folks who haven't had things custom framed before. Years ago, my now husband had gifted me a beautiful framed print from Frames Unlimited. I tracked down two other prints from the same artist to make a triptych, but I needed them matted and framed. Frames Unlimited meticulously went through their mats to figure out which white mat they had originally used (there are dozens). They also matched the black frame. The result was a beautiful looking set. We also had something we needed framed without the glass (it's a scratch off map) that another framing place in town said they wouldn't be able to do. It wasn't an issue at all for Frames Unlimited. Everyone I interacted with here was pleasant, and when I went to pick up my pieces, an employee helped carry everything to my car. The turnaround was faster than expected as well--they said it might be a couple of weeks but called me to say my order was ready in just about one. I really appreciate their commitment to customer service and would definitely recommend this place to others.

My daughter is 12yrs old and this is her very first time wearing glasses. So she picked the clear frames because she felt like they would help her transition into the habit of being seen with glasses ( I don't know, just her preference ) but anyway I asked the lady helping me about the color she ordered and she looked at her paperwork and stated " well it does say clear right here ". She then proceeded to tell me that she would order the pair my daughter wanted in the first place. It is now June and I have been there 2 times since to get the frames, but each time I was told something about how they don't see anything about her getting the frames she requested. So basically they're just giving people what they want to give them and later acting as if they have intentions on rectifying the situation when they're clearly going to great lengths to do the opposite. And after more than two months, my daughter still doesn't have the glasses she asked for. Horrible customer service
