It started with a sensation on the lower back, at 2 minutes 30 seconds a slight tightness of the muscles just above the knees and across ones midsection. 3 minutes seems like forever, then when it's over so quickly. My first Cryotherapy was to test the effectiveness on my Peripheral Neuropathy. Because you wear long socks and gloves it may have negated the benefits of that. Will try local in a couple of weeks for my PN in my feet. Now my arthritis in my hips, and weakness in my left leg, this was a complete surprise. I could easily climb stairs and getting on my bicycle pain free. Both hips are shot, but honestly they felt better. Waiting to see how long it lasts, going on about 11 hours. It may only last a day or so, but that is an accomplishment compared to using steroids that do more harm overall.

It's pretty comforting since it can be very intimidating at first. You strip down to undergarments and wear socks and slippers and put on a robe and mits. When you get in the machine you take off the robe, and it begins. It was pretty cold so you'll shiver, quiver and stutter if you're talking. But the time goes by really fast. I've only tried the float therapy here so far. The float rooms are located in the bottom floor down this very steep staircase, but inside it is nearly completely soundproof (or as soundproof as one can get in the middle of Midtown...). The experience is very relaxing, as you get a huge private room to shower and then float in. The tubs are also really big so you don't feel claustrophobic. I appreciate the amenities as well, like lotion and little packets of Vaseline to cover up cuts. You get plenty of time to shower before and after your appointment so you do not feel rushed at all. Staff is very knowledgeable, courteous, and friendly. They do not try to upsell you on stuff and kind of just leave you to do your own thing, which I really appreciate.

I suffer from some of the conditions that salt cave therapy can help (congestion, acne, anxiety, etc), so when a friend suggested I try it out, I was happy to join her! The cave itself is dim, but not pitch black, so you are able to relax but still see. My group chose to listen to the meditation music and we let ourselves drift away to zen land. I could immediately notice the difference and clarity in my breathing. At first I sat in the lounger but then laid myself right into the salt to soak up the goodness even more!!! Truly I could spend the whole day/night in the cave if they let me! It was such a great experience from start to finish!
