I am not a member and I am not really sure if I want to join a gym again, but I had received a…read moreflyer in the mail and went to check out the space. From what I saw on the tour, it looked like a very nice gym. I like to do floor activities and there is space for that. My last gym was Crunch, where the babies/members don't clean up their equipment when they are done and there is almost no floor space. I did not see any of that at this gym. Everything looked clean and it all of the equipment was in its place. The only thing some people may find lacking would that they have a limited number of group classes. I got the impression that the had a few interval training / HIIT classes throughout the day which they changed up (in the way CrossFit changes it up) but if you are looking for a menu of classes, this may not be the place for you. But it is still worth checking out. I am glad I did and if I join a gym again, it will be this one.

The owner first showed me a bike and said "don't worry, there is no weight limit." I have a great sense of humor and giggled internally, mostly because he thought that would go over my head. I calmly asked him why he would say that and he stammered. He may have thought I'd shrink. No sir, wrong lady. The Women's Locker Room is in need of a nice paint job to make it appealing. I can't tell you how many times I've gone in every stall to find one stall with toilet paper. Sometimes none found. One positive is that I've seen machines cleaned and vacuumed daily. The cleaning people on the floor are friendly and kind. There are a couple of trainers who made eye contact and spoke to me directly and I appreciated it. I had no luck making an appointment with any trainer. After making an appointment with one, he had a woman call me back to ask who I was and how I got an appointment with him. Shame for him, I was willing to buy a package from him after my first visit. I then had another trainer appointment and had car trouble so called to cancel 48 hours in advance and she called me back and blasted me that her time was valuable too. I gave 48 hours notice. Their arrogance was a lost opportunity for them. I found an excellent trainer outside this gym. As for the muscular brother/owner. Yeesh "dude" - you've officially won the "Get Over Yourself" Award. People come in all sizes and shapes. There was another woman here who wrote about you in particular. It's not a one-off. I've had a similar experience. I did not speak or complain to you or anyone in that gym ever and you still managed to do that to me.

I…read morewasn't sure if I would enjoy it or not as this was my first massage ever but I figured I'd give it a try. Turns out, I really enjoyed it! I was greeted with a nice smile from the receptionist as soon as I walked in and while the place is small, it had a nice cozy and relaxing environment. Amanda was my masseuse and she listened to my needs (relief of muscle aches from frequent workouts) and she went to work. She used the right amount of pressure to help relieve some muscle tension I had in my neck and back, and the aromatherapy and oils she used helped relieve some stress. After the hour, she also gave me some tips on how to relieve the tension myself at home which I really appreciated. Glad I decided to pick this place to experience my first massage and I'll definitely be back again and look into a hot stone massage for next time.

I had just run the NYC Marathon on Sunday so was hoping to get in on Tuesday. In fairness, I called on Tuesday morning and they couldn't get us in until Thursday night, but it was worth the wait, and I'm sure they were blowing up because of Groupon. The listed price for the couple's massage in the parlor was $140, but for $40/person, it was money well spent once the hour was up. The place is a little hidden, even within the office building. It's easiest to go up to the second floor from the door on your right (there are 2 entrances). Overall, they did such a good job, I tipped them $25 each, factoring in the actual cost and not the Groupon special.
