Looked at a 2001 camper all 4 tires needed replaced before we would've been able to leave the lot dry rotted out that bad floor in the camper had soft spots everywhere,board of the slide out rotted out you can see day light threw bottom of the slide hole way across it. No information at all if anything worked in the camper. And to top it of when you pulled the waste bungs to make sure they work stuff was running out. Service is horrible!!!! Bought a brand new 2025 5th wheel, we were charged a $700 delivery inspection fee. During our walkthrough with service tech, we pointed out very obvious issues. These warranty issues took 3 months to get fixed. tv value mart blamed the manufacturer but did not realize that we were in constant contact with manufacturer. After picking up our 5th wheel we discovered that the door to the outdoor kitchen, which was supposed to to be replaced, sounds like it's cracking when closing. We have no idea how the service tech could have missed this. We are now only weeks away from camping season and scrambling to figure out what to do about this door. So not only did rv value mart steal $700 dollars from us they also lied to us, and did not complete the warranty work properly. But at least they put a bible in our RV to give the appearance they are virtuous read more

These people have no integrity. Made an appointment at 4:30 to buy a camper the next day. I drove three hours to get there and was told they sold the camper the night before. I was told customers should call the night before to make the camper they want isn't sold. I wasn't able to talk to the salesman I had the appointment with I was told he was busy on the phone. We purchased a brand new camper on June 28. We brought the camper home on July 4th. We went to put some belongings in our camper on July 13th and noticed our camper had taken on water in the back storage area, bathroom, and pantry. There was so much water the whole under belly of camper had popped loose. We contacted the dealership RV Vaule Mart in Asheboro NC. We took the camper there on July 19th for them to inspect and do a water test. They contacted us back and sent an email stating that both doors were never sealed from the manufacture Forest River. We expressed that we did not want possession back of that camper not unless it had a mold inspection. The camper was made Jan 1, 2025 so it has been leaking since it left the yard in Indiana. The dealership has had our camper in their possession for over 5 weeks. We have had to cancel a trip that cost $50 to cancel. We have made first payment on the camper only to find out that the dealer didn't even have the camper covered on their lot for the last 5 weeks so it has taken on more water. The dealership has now fixed the doors but Forest River is denying our certified mold test. We purchased a brand new 38000.00 dollar camper that now has water damage and they are denying our mold test? I feel that this dealership hasn't done their fair share either to make it right. One of the managers went as far as telling us that they will have the camper delivered to our drive way as is and we can pay for it as is with no repairs done. We have all the videos, pictures and emails. In other words we are not happy campers! read more

Horrible experience with the camper I bought and the service. Negative stars are appropriate. Delivery prep of a brand new camper was sloppy resulting ultimately in permanent damage to the door. Step screws were all stripped and the stairs fell out the first time I used them. Construction finish was terrible. Lots of panels not secured to the structure. Seriously cut my finger when cleaning from an exposed nail. The unit was advertised as having an inverter that provided 110V power when offline, but service told me this was not true and that it was shore power only...false advertising, misleading...?? When I called to make an appointment for servicing items not working while under warranty, the first appointment I could get was almost 8 weeks later...2-days after the warranty expired. It also took over a week from the appointment to actually get the unit in the shop. Even though I was told any issues would be covered under warranty because the RO was generated before the expiration, I was charged for warranty work anyway. Of course, I was told that they would try to submit a claim, but they no longer have my trust. Unless you do not actually intend to use your camper, stay away from Forest River products in general, and especially RV Value Mart on Rt. 72 Manheim. read more

If I could give 0 stars I would. We used this company all summer and they never found what we constantly told them was broken. When they did find it, they wanted to charge us a bucket load.. for something they should have found the first time we brought it in! We also dropped our camper off to get the Jack fixed, when we went to pick it up.. the Jack didn't work. You would think that if they told us it was ready.. it would work. Never coming back here. Also, you can really tell the poor management and ownership when the owner sits and does nothing. We talked to a representative the whole time and we asked for a manager... there he was THE OWNER doing nothing just sitting there. Didn't even jump in to help. Our first camper - Horrible experience. Upon pickup where they had a week to prep our brand new unit we found The fire extinguisher, rear benches, and numerous places in the cabinets and storage falling apart. Also the main door wouldn't shut properly. Seriously how are those issues missed on their 52 point inspection??? What should have been a quick pickup and paperwork turned into a grueling 8 hour day watching the service techs try to fix things that should have been done well in advance. My wife Overheard one service tech saying to his coworker "I don't have time for this stupid door". - well so sorry we bothered you with our business. Had I heard that we never would have signed the paperwork. Our first camping trip the rear toy hauler door leaked in the rain (BAD), the awning stopped working, the entry steps came loose, the radio doesn't function for USB connection etc etc. We sent the camper back to get these fixed. Upon return I sprayed the rear door with the garden hose for no more than 30 seconds resulting in a massive leak. It was obviously never checked... we had to send it back again! PLUS we noticed the rear tail light not working. Seriously????? What initially was a purchase that my wife and I were looking forward to enjoying together for years to come has turned into something I seriously wish I had never purchased. Maybe someday I'll be able to go camping with it. Avoid!!! read more

For context, i'm not a complete camper newbie and have some experience vacationing in a camper parked permanently at a campsite with my family (my parents own it, and we'd take short trips there on occasion). However, this is our first experience with our OWN travel trailer that will not be parked permanently, and will travel. Also, going into this, I had to purchase a vehicle that could tow the camper, and while im also not a newbie to towing things (used to drive trucks that would tow a single car behind it for work), i was new to towing a larger item, and knew little about it. When we arrived, we walked the lot a bit and were greeted by Gary, one of the sales people. He was very nice and accommodating ensuring we understood the various camper types and features, and was very up front with us. He did inform us that due to the pandemic, many people are buying campers so their inventory was very slim and he had no idea when they were going to get new inventory in (we knew this going in). He showed us multiple units, and was very up front about estimated pricing on each. I was originally looking for a smaller camper, but he suggested we go slightly bigger having 2 young kids that are going to get bigger at one point and also since we planned on traveling with it we should have space to spread out, so he suggested us look at a 26' instead of an 18' or 20' I had originally considered. The 26' wasnt that much more money, had many more features we liked, and "fit" my family much better, but he didn't realize they had no inventory on the style he was showing us, he had thought he had 1 left to sell. After some discussion, he asked if we were interested in the "display" model, which we liked. We figured the display would be in better condition than non display models, because it was the "show" piece, and fully loaded, and that WAS the case. After all, these campers are all the same put together with glue, screws, and nails. It was a very low pressure sale, he was very nice. Every detail was discussed from service, to warranty, to pricing and financing. I let Gary know that I did not have a tow hitch for my truck yet, and was unsure what I needed, but wanted one that would distribute the weight & sway better. He went through the various options and made recommendations, and we purchased the one he recommended. The ONLY thing I didnt like was that when you put a deposit down and they run financing, that if you decide you dont like the interest rate that they find (they don't guarantee a rate), that you lose your deposit. However, if they cannot approve you for financing, you get your deposit back. We were approved, but if for whatever reason I didnt like the rate, i'd have lost my money. So thats a -1 star for me. Most dealerships (car, etc), I know going in what their financing rates are and finance deals. Once we finished our paperwork, Gary said he would reach out when the financing work was done and they would schedule a pickup & orientation date. Within a week Gary had reached out and said they need about 2-3 weeks to prep the camper, clean it, tighten screws, etc. I had noticed a few flaws on the camper that I kept to myself to see if they picked up on it or not such as cracked signal lenses, some loose debris in drawers, loose hinges, etc. Just normal wear and tear items. A month later, we went back to pick up our camper, got a 2 hour VERY detailed orientation from a nice guy named Gage. He went through EVERY fine detail and made sure we understood what we had to do to say empty the gray & black water tanks, turn on/off the water heater, etc. I checked all of the items I found on my quiet walkaround prior to making our purchasing decision, and they had fixed every single thing, and also nicely greased all the joints and hitch pieces. They also walked through my hitch setup, as well as hookup/unhooking. The paperwork at pickup was also very quick and nice, I can't remember the finance guys' name, but he was great. Very nice to my kids, and very patient with our questions. We also were given a 1 year membership to Thousand Trails which is sort of like a camping timeshare, he helped us get a head start on that so we could start booking trips that same day. Overall, it was a great experience. We have had our camper for 2 months now, have gone on one weeklong trip about 2.5 hours away, have traveled around the area (NJ/PA/DE/MD) on highways and back roads (camper friendly), and have had no issues. The ONLY maintenance item that i think they cheaped out on was one of the latches for our outdoor storage was cracked, and instead of replacing it they glued the piece back on....all things considered, thats VERY minor and not a huge deal, I probably would have done the same thing hoping it would hold. Do not use this company to do ANY service on your trailer. They will lie to you. We took our trailer to them for a few things, including checking all of the seals and re-caulk as needed. They told me that if they found any problems they would remove the old caulk and replace with new, Well, when I picked it up I looked it over and found that all they did was put a little caulk here, put a little caulk there. One area of the bottom skirt was pulled away with a big gap and they had not even tried to repair it. I asked them why they didn't add a screw to hold the skirt to the main panel. The response was "that is the way the manufacturer builds it". They were going to send one of there techs out to fix it. I told them never mind, I'll do it myself. I demanded $100 off of my bill. They charged me $360 to do what could not have taken them more than 15 minutes. When I was leaving I told them if they were going to charge $185 an hour I would expect $185 of quality service work and based on what I showed them of their work that was not the case. The response was "that is why they were going to fix it". They missed the point. It should not have needed to be fixed, it should have been done correctly the first time. Do not take your trailer to these guys. read more

Arlan in the sales department has sold us 2 campers now. He is very good to deal with and never once did I feel like I was being taken advantage of. The real reason for 5 stars is John in the service department. That man is a true asset to the company. My camper had some pretty major defects from the factory. Nothing that could have been discovered at pickup or during the pre-release inspection. John worked with me for months to make this right and really went above and beyond. Thank you RV Value Mart. Initially, I was apprehensive about buying a camper from RV Value Mart, influenced by some negative reviews. However, we came across a camper that piqued our interest and decided to take a chance. Regrettably, this decision proved to be a significant error. We collected our camper on Tuesday, May 14th, and conducted a walkthrough. We promptly transported the camper to our usual campground, refraining from setting up due to the rain. We leveled the camper, transferred our belongings from our old camper, and departed. On Wednesday afternoon, I came back to start getting everything hooked up. Everything seemed to be going smoothly. However, by Thursday afternoon, I noticed water on the camper's floor. I pulled the access panel and found water under the bathroom area of our Fifth Wheel. I emailed and called the salesperson, but I received no response. That's how long we had our camper. I'm thoroughly disgusted by this. Also, they "inspected" the camper for us per PA regulations. This is for safety purposes, I would love to know how it passed a "Safety Inspection" with a bubble in a tire! So here we sit with an RV that has a water leak from somewhere and a tire that needs to be replaced. All within two days of our purchase! I should have known it was a mistake after our day of looking at the camper and signing the paperwork. We sat down with Teddy, our sales guy, and he gave us a speech about how he was a traveling salesperson for the company and would go from store to store. It was a Saturday and he said he was heading out the next day to return to NC but would be back Thursday. He got us to sign the paperwork, but I caught him in a lie. Luckily for me, I recorded our conversation. He told the sales manager, or whoever he was on the phone with, that I was trying to get them to throw in a Fifth Wheel hitch for free, but that was a lie. Teddy was the one who suggested it to us. I tried to call him on Monday, only to be told by Andy that Teddy was contracted and would not be returning to the dealership so we were handed over to the Sales Manager to continue our purchase. I visited the Willow Street location this past Saturday. It was a 2 1/2 drive from where I live and a waste of time. Initially I spoke to Gary in Sales, he was very pleasant and said come on up, I may not be here when you arrive but ask to speak to Arlen. When I arrived and entered the Sales Office, NO ONE WAS TO BE FOUND, although I did hear a lot of laughing and chatter in a back area. After a moment, a Sales person named Nate Coelho came out, I asked for Gary (told he had gone home for the day, then asked for Arlen (told he was busy). Nate then stood there and said What do you need-- already I was feelilng this wasn't going to go well. He acted like I was bothering him. I sat down to discuss the purchase of an R-Pod, told him I had $12,000 to put down and would be financing the remainder. Right away he said Do Not put that much down, Put only $5,000 down and then finance balance for 144 months. CRAZY!!!! When I asked him who would stretch out payments for that long on an RV less than $20,000, he said 9 out of 10 of our customers. I said, I would prefer to pay all cash, and wanted to put as much down as possible. He stated, CASH IS NOT KING! I replied, It is to the buyer. Then he said, If you come here with cash, I would add an addtl. $ 125.00 to your sale just for my time to do your paperwork. He was cocky, rude and obviously did not want to take the time to assist me in my purchase. Terrible Salesman. I went to a local dealer near my home in Hagerstown MD and bought my travel trailer and by the way: I paid mostly cash, told them my story about Nate and told them they should share with him what real customer service is about. Just purchase a new 2020 Cherokee Alpha Wolf 29-QB. Sales process was very straight forward, Colin was our sales person at the Willow Street location and was well informed, clear and efficient. We did have a hiccup in the pickup process that was caught by the team. Although we could not pick up that day, they instead made it right overnight and delivered the RV to our door instead (2-hour drive). Purchased a brand new camper from the Manheim location and was insured that a pre-delivery inspection was perform but within one week of ownership it was obvious that this had not been done. The service manager at the Mannheim location was unwilling to repair issues under warranty and made comments like " you should have spent more money and bought a nicer camper and you would not being dealing with these issue." The furnace is also not working in the camper, the same service manager stated " buy a space heater." The last and biggest thing I want everyone to take away from this review is this brand new camper came off of the lot with the undercarriage duct taped on! Do I know this place?....I've lived in this area for 3 decades, give or take a couple...or maybe three....They used to be Mellott's. + Recently, our small boat trailer had lighting problems. Not an RV, but still we took it up to see if these folks could help us out. They re-wired the trailer and moved the lights for a very reasonable price! Very prompt service! After a week, we decided to take the boat down to the Susquehanna River for a test run. Surprise! The left lights did not work! We took the trailer back to the RV Value Mart without advance notice. They discovered the problem was in my truck and not the trailer, and fixed that problem in 15 minutes. The additional price for this repair was ridiculously low. (I am not mentioning any dollar prices here, but trust me-with a small farm, I know the VALUE of money!) My buddy and I just took the boat down to the Jersey shore for a couple of days of flounder fishing. We have done this before, but this is the first time we had total confidence in the lighting system! (Ah, the days of driving down the AC expressway with questionable lights! I won't miss them!) Bottom line is that these folks know their business. (The fellow that did the wiring really knew his stuff. (My buddy and I could have probably figured it out given enough time (maybe 8 hours...)) This RV dealership was easy to find. We purchased a brand new model Cherokee fifth wheel that no one had within 300 miles from Maryland that had good enough reviews to purchase out of our state. The service department was top notch! Although it was pouring rain, they showed us every operational detail inside & out. After settling up with Customer service to complete our paperwork, we provided all that was requested proof of ins, drivers lic, POA for titling, etc. They told us it would be faster to let them tag it and if there were some unforeseen delays they'd give us another temp tag. We were happy campers until the 60 day temporary tag expired and we learned that they didn't follow through with the process. Our tags expired and we have our camping wedding anniversary booked. We verified with our DMV that they have not rec'd anything and once they do it takes 2-3 wks. Now RVmart tells us that they cant give us a tag extension as they promised. Dont let them process your title for tags. It'll sit on their desk. Pay your sales tax at your local DMV! read more

We bought a travel trailer from RV Value Mart in April. When we arrived to pick up the trailer we noticed a dent in the front panel and a dent in the refrigerator door. We were told they would order the parts to fix it and then we could bring the trailer down when we were in the area to get it fixed. Unfortunately, it wasn't that easy. After we were informed that the parts were in, Ryan, the service representative, told us we could bring the trailer down and drop it off during the week because they don't fix trailers on the weekend. I explained to Ryan that we work during the week and could only bring it down to get it fixed on a Saturday. He was very condescending and rude and would not work with us even though it was part of the deal when we bought the camper. A service department should be customer-friendly and flexible with customers not rude. We won't be buying from RV Value Mart again. read more

Horrible stressful buying experience. Made offer on used 2020 RV by reviewing info and looking at pics on their website. We knew the model and like the set up. Description said it slept 6. Found out later that two.of bench seats that made a bed had been removed so rv really only slept 4. Ad was wrong. They didnt care. Rv value mart would not come down on price nor would they install benches. We had already sold old rv and needed one quickly as trip is planned. So we bought any way and now have to buy benches and missing table ourselves to a cost of about $2400. By the time we buy both we could have bought new rv same year and model. Several times we were given wrong info. Many times staff acted very unprofessional. They could care less if we bought or not as toy haulers are very hard to find before their sold. I would have walked away from this one if trip hadn't been planned. We had a 4 hour drive home and when we got there saw that they hadnt locked back door and it had come open. It could have ripped off during ride home. Love the rv but would never recommend this place to anyone. read more

truly disgusted by the way i got swindled here , dont let yourself get swindled either i bought an 'as is' trailer and dont know many things about it and yea i couldve got an rv guy to come check out before hand but i figured id trust a 'family owned business' and what i got for trusting them was not worth it. so many leaks that they assured me wouldnt be there played games at first with alot of maybes or i dont knows so i shouldve just taken my business elsewhere from then but i still had faith they would do me good but they didnt as i said the leaks, needs a new battery, awnings shot, needs about 3-4k worth of work on the flooring alone because of mold and soft spots not originally seen, needs new water heater, needs new a/c, needs new fridge unit, theres prolly many more things im gonna experience with this trailer that i couldve just got cheaper if i just went on marketplace or craigslist for all this bullcrap it also needs to be thoroughly cleaned as there were many dead bugs and dirt everywhere , truly a disgusting experience i didnt care too much about until the fees to fix this thing started to pile up, im sure i wont even get a response out of them with this because they sold it 'as is' which is just code word for them meaning this is a crap trailer that has so many problems that we'll just trick people with the 'as is' statement so any trailer they wanna sell you 'as is' dont buy it, you might as well jus save up and get a more expensive trailer read more

We purchased a brand new RV from RV Value Mart on 11/16/19, at that time we also purchased at an additional cost a protection plan. We were advised by RV Value Mart at the time of purchase, that the protection plan could be cancelled and refunded at a pro-rated amount. We had many issues with the RV, and decided to trade it in towards another RV at a different dealership. We called for two weeks and left messages for someone at RV Value Mart to contact us about canceling the protection plan. Finally after those two weeks had past our call was returned. We filled out the cancellation form and attached the proper documents showing we had trade the unit, and no longer owned it. We sent this information to RV Value Mart certified USPS mail. This form was delivered to RV Value Mart on 8/22/20 at 11:36 am to an individual at RV Value Mart. We have never received a refund nor any further response from them, even though we have tried to contact them several time with no answer. It has been 5 months with no answers and no refund. read more
