Email from G.Kelly at Lancaster Honda 11/11/20

News to me that this place have five stars considering the Salesman who emailed me, days later, about a 2020 Honda crf250r I inquired about from their website as such: photo attached for your reference. PLEASE READ IT. Now, I have to say we are a family of avid dirt bike riders, currently have 4 at home and completely flabbergasted by such an outrageous response. NO HONDA INCENTIVES DEDUCTED OR OTHERWISE and special order???? WTH ? Lol STAY AWAY!!!!

Trouble at OLD GLORY (820 Hershey Ave, Lancaster, PA 17603)…read more I never write anything, good or bad, about businesses but this interaction(s) with Old Glory was so troubling. Please take your time when deciding to allow OLD GLORY to work on your motorcycle instead of a local accredited motorcycle dealership. On or about April 15, 2022, I went to Old Glory because I needed to have a state inspection completed on my 2001 Kawasaki Vulcan Nomad (8,500 miles). I picked this location because it is extremely close to my residence, and I wanted to support local business. My first interaction went well. I was advised that I had dry rot on my front tire and that I needed it replaced. They placed an order for the tire, I paid for it, and the inspection totaling $419.00. On my way home, I had trouble maintaining speed. My RPMs were high, when I applied the throttle, but I had very limited speed. I turned around and drove it back to OLD GLORY. I have no knowledge of mechanics or motorcycles. I explained to the owner and his son (mechanic) about the issues. I also called the Kawasaki Dealership to ask about these issues. They said that it may be the hydraulics for the clutch and the worst case scenario, it would be the clutch itself. Kawasaki could not schedule me for several weeks and thus I unfortunately stayed with OLD GLORY. OLD GLORY pulled on the clutch several times and noted that it could not be the hydraulics that it must be the clutch. OLD GLORY wrote me an estimate: Gasket: $17.97; Clutch Kit:$100.63; Oil Filter: $30; Plugs: $40; 5 hours of labor: $425; Haze-mat: $15 = $642.02. I decided to order the tire online and save $200 and thus used my initial payment of $419 toward the $642.02 estimate. OLD GLORY advised me that there was a back order on the part so it could be a few weeks. SO FAR, SO GOOD On April 19, 2022, Revzilla, shipped my ordered tire to OLD GLORY and I confirmed that with OLD GLORY. In May 2022, I heard nothing. Communications between myself and OLD GLORY were always initiated by me. I would ask on several occasions throughout May and June 2022 if OLD GLORY had an ETA on the clutch kit. I also inquired if OLD GLORY had researched any other company or local dealer for the part. Every answer was that no one could obtain this part and that they have done their due diligence and were unable to secure the part. By the middle of June 2022, I decided to contact OLD GLORY and advise them that I would reach out to local dealerships for the clutch kit. My first call was to Don's Kawasaki Dealership, Hallam, Pennsylvania who advised me that they could send OLD GLORY the part within a week. I reached out to OLD GLORY and advised them that Don's would reach out to them. On June 1, 2022, I was contacted by OLD GLORY and told that my Nomad was fixed and ready to be picked up. Remember, the estimate was $680.54......the clerk never looked at me and slide me the bill.......$1079.47: Breakdown: Gasket: $17.39; Clutch Kit: $298.53; Oil: $50; Labor (10 hours): 595.00; Hazmat: $15; Safety sticker: $33.96 + $9.00. I was floored, an estimate is usually close, but $400 and waited for 3 months and I found the part........Considering the motorcycle is worth under $3,000, I was disturbed and inquired as to why I was not contacted about this sizable increase in price. I was told they did not know how long it would be until they had finished. OLD GLORY noted that it took a long time getting the exhaust and other parts off the motorcycle. OLD GLORY stated they did not realize how many parts they would need to remove to access the clutch area. Maybe things are different when you take a car in to get work done but it is my understand that to fix X there is a formula Y that will give you a good estimate which leads to a final price. I exclaimed, take the parts out, I do not want to pay for something that I was not consulted on and a price that was more than a 1/3 of the vehicle. In the end, OLD GLORY kindly removed 2 hours of labor and away I went. The story is over correct?? A day later, I noticed that there was dry rot on my front tire....was it not replaced?......I have a sticker saying it was safe to ride.....so I checked the receipt, no tire change. On July 22, 2022, I contacted OLD GLORY via email and inquired as to the front tire. I advised them via email that I was told the tire was replaced, by the mechanic when I spoke to him in May. I asked OLD GLORY to call me. On July 23, 2022, I was advised by OLD GLORY via email that the front tire rot was border line and that they only recommended replacement. OLD GLORY proceeded to tell me that should I want a tire they could place an order for me. On the same date, I replied to OLD GLORY that they received the tire. I advised that the tire was delivered to OLD GLORY in April 2022 and that the mechanic advised me in May 2022 that he placed the tire on the motorcycle. The mechanic even stated that it look

WTF is that? apes installed with chrome accessories...6 weeks later I pick the bike up. Insisted i sign off on mechanical liability because he didn't have time to road test it...chrome ALL finger-printed up w/ oily smears. Throttle stuck wide open, loose screws holding the throttle body on... so he had to tighten, then loosen, move it back & forth to make it let go, then re-tighten...in the rain...then said it was MY responsibility.... then I asked for his posted 10% military discount. Ha! Another ruse. Said no, then excused it away by telling me he wasn't getting it from his suppliers...when I went in to pay the full price, sign off accepting my bike "as-is", he said the could give me the 10%.....the exact amount for 2hours of labor he tacked on for removing a couple of stink bugs...what a GD abortion...badmouthed everything, the bike, a stud he broke off, his paint guy that sucks, a couple of stink bugs, dirt under the frame, some surface rust...everything!! I couldn't wait to get out of there. Took it right to the Harley dealership. I made a mistake with Bill Raber...he "got me"....He pressures you to do sh** HE wants to do & can spend YOUR money quicker than you...Then wants the money up front... YOU WERE WARNED!!
