Update, Brian from their finance department or the dealership called yesterday. I called him back today again telling me he's tried to accommodate me. This is the first time I've heard from this guy since the time he lied to me about the warranty basically they refusing to help me out because I made complaints about their horrible service. I would suggest to anybody these people are liars. It's a horrible dealership. I would not buy anything from them. There's plenty of other RV dealerships that will take ownership and responsibility of their mistakes. I spent $80,000 for a warranty in a van and I'm getting nothing for it. We had been talking for years about travelling in a Class B Camper Van and seeing North America. Over the last year I began researching RV classes, manufacturers, chassis, etc. I investigated where we could rent one so we could try out the experience to ensure it was something we wanted to continue to pursue. I researched the online rental companies and looked for RV dealers with rentals. There are not a lot of RV dealers in our local area, but I was fortunate to find Fretz RV about an hour plus from us, and the good news is they had a rental program. The Rental: We planned a trip out to Fretz RV to have a look around and discuss the rental program and physically see the available Class B rental vehicles. We introduced ourselves to Lou Levine, the rental program manager at Fretz RV, and Lou took us through their rental offerings and pricing. Lou was knowledgeable and patient with our newbie questions and curiosity. We left Fretz RV with all the info we needed for the rental, graciously provided by Lou, and the task of determining the dates of our RV trip. We planned out our trip dates and called Lou with the details. Lou sent us over the rental agreement which was straight forward to complete and easy to get back to Lou with our deposit to hold the Rental Class B. Now it was a 2 month wait for our trip, Lou was always quick to responded to my emails, text messages or phone requests on question that came up after the booking. The day of pickup for the Class B rental was smooth and easy, Lou took us through all the RV systems and how to operate them (plus Fretz has a fantastic YouTube Video on the Operation of the rental). Off we went on a fantastic weeklong journey through 7 states from the mountains to beaches, where we stayed at campgrounds and moochdocked with friends and family. The Purchase: Based on my RV research, I knew I wanted something on a Ford gas powered chassis if we ever bought one. Several of my searches for Class B RVs on a Ford chassis lead me to Leisure Travel Vans information, they build on Ford and Mercedes chassis. Wow, I thought as I looked at these incredible and luxurious RVs, but alas, these were Class C RVs, and I was looking for Class Bs. So, I kept looking, narrowing my Class B search to a few builds that had Dry baths (not many). The morning we returned the Rental, I had visited the Fretz RV web page and using their handy search/filter function looked to see what RVs they had onsite on a Ford chassis we could look at while we were returning the rental. Lou greeted us with a smile and looked up RVs that met my specs and handed us the keys to have a look. We found the one vehicle, nice but not quite what we wanted, while looking for the 2nd RV on a Ford chassis we walked by a 2023 LTV Wonder. Joking with Lou, I said if we were to go in, my better half would certainly be amazed at their luxury and quality based on my research and we would not make it to the second vehicle. Well, long story short, we are now the proud owners of a 2023 Leisure Travel Vans Wonder MBL. Lou and the Fretz team were great during the delivery process, it could not have been smoother. The Experience: From the rental to our purchase of the LTV Wonder, everyone at Fretz was friendly, knowledgeable, helpful, and responsive. The sales, finance and store teams were all fantastic to work with. Communications with the Fretz team throughout were quickly responded to regardless of the comm method. Hence, today I called about a LTV that FRETZ is advertising on their very own website. On their own website, they have the MSRP sheet listed with a sales price of $185,008 and the retail customer "Calvin Martin" as listed on this sheet for stock number 18566. George, Fretz' sales rep, just called me to tell me that if I wanted this LTV stock #18566 that I would need to pay $20,000 over the MSRP. STAY AWAY FROM THESE PEOPLE!!! bought a 33 ft rv, the bed was missing from the living room pull out couch, after a long run around, we were told they don't need our business anymore. They delivered my rv with no brakes and a damaged corner, as it took me 6 months before I hooked it up from a winter delivery, i didn't notice the issues right away. So you can imagine their response, we have an extended warranty, but I wont return even for repairs . Indian Valley across the street is awesome. As a person of color, I would NOT recommend this place. From the moment we walked into the showroom all eyes were on us. The sales associates didn't want to help us. Once we found someone to help during whole process he made passive aggressive comments on top of telling me what I could and couldn't afford. (Without running my credit). I wanted to see a RV on a different lot, and he gave me horrible directions and said I will see you by tomorrow at the latest. I don't know what he meant by that, but he never met us at the lot. A branch fell on the fiberglass roof of my Jayco motorhome and punched a hole through it. Fretz Service dept. brought me in right away for a temporary patch and worked closely with my insurance company to get me a new roof, vents, fans, skylights, seals and gaskets. The work was performed skillfully, professionally, on time and all it cost was my $100 deductible. Even though Fretz is over an hour away and there's another large RV dealershipership less than a mile from me, I won't go anywhere else. Thank you Jamie and thanks to the rest of the Service team. We don't even know where to begin. customer service with Mr. Harris was good when we went in to Fretz in search of our first camper. Fell in love with a brand new 2022 Jayco travel trailer, bought it, had it delivered, then started our journey of seasonal camping. I don't even think it was a week before we had our first issue. We had an issue with our regulator so we had to purchase another one. We then had a large amount of thick black residue on the side of our camper above the furnace due to the faulty regulator. Had to replace the thermal fuse for the water heater, all of the locks on the outdoor compartments didn't lock and close properly. Black tank handle broke, the belly pan wasn't installed right and is sagging even after servicing. Shower was not installed/sealed properly leaving a gap between wall and shower wall. Kitchen sink was not caulked properly, Lights/switches were faulty and didn't turn on. We had to have the furnace replaced twice. Striker on the front door was replaced. Bracket on awning was bent. The hot water heater had to be replaced "bad welds" this caused the entire floor to be water damaged and had to be replaced. We had a water pump leak two different times damaging all of our cabinetry in the kitchen. A storage compartment under the fridge was never installed right so it kept falling off the hinges. There was a storage compartment under the T.V. with a door and the door fell off on the first use. We had to bring the camper in from a long distance twice to resolve these issues. After 4 months, and warranty work finished, we now have another water leak damaging our cabinetry, possibly floors. We called, and the service writer Doug said they were not honoring these repairs. read more

Due to your fantastic negotiation skills and wonderful salesmanship abilities, we were able to find the same 2020 Jayco North Point 5th wheel at a different lot for more than 5 grand less than the number you refused to negotiate over. Would have loved to have given our money to a local business, but alas, you were not interested. You even went so far as to throw your arms up in the air and say "well we aren't gonna do that!" You wouldn't even go back to the sales manager with our offer. And no, the place we made our purchase at is not a "big lot dealer" as you assumed. They are a family company that was happy to do business with us. If I were Fretz RV, I'd tell you to go back into retirement because you are doing them a disservice. It's also not polite to take a cell phone call (especially from a number you didn't recognize) while you're wandering around the sales lot with your potential customers. Despite the reviews on yelp and rvinsider, I wanted to give them the benefit of the doubt after we saw a rv we liked on their website. Our salesman, Bronson, was great, showed us around the rv, and answered any questions we had. The only thing wrong with the rv that we could see was a bent stabilizer. We left to mull it over and the next day gave him the green light, but asked to have the bent stabilizer replaced prior to pickup. When we did go pick it up, he seemed surprised when he looked at them, but said it looked like they had replaced a couple of them. We did a walk around, and the stabilizers were shiny, black, and new, we were so happy. However, when we got it back home and took a closer look at them, it turns out they just spray painted them and didn't actually fix anything. I wouldn't have minded if they said they couldn't do it, that I'd just have to buy a new one, but they tried to pull a fast one, which is terrible. So who is at fault here? The salesman, the service guys, Fretz Rv in general? Who knows. But I hope it gets better because some people will do worse than just post a bad review. Purchasing from Fretz RV was a huge mistake! Just over 1 month ago I purchased a used Class A motorcoach form them. I had to wait a week to pick it up so they could have their service techs go over it and make sure everything was in working order. After picking up the RV we found multiple problems with the RV from LG gauges not working, fans not working, the Converter not charging the Batteries, The Batteries them selves seem to be no good and won't hold a charge, Etc. And worst of all the RV almost killed my family and I! We took the RV out for a quick trip up to Cabela's and back. During the trip we hit a rough patch of road on 476. When we hit the rough road (at 70 mph) the dashboard started bouncing up and down and slamming down on the steering column. It was as if we were in a 9.0 earthquake. By the grace of God, I was able to regain control of the RV. I stopped by Fretz to explain what happened and was told to see their service department. I stopped in their service department with the list of issue I had found so far and told them about the Dashboard issue. The woman that I was referred to said that the dashboard issue would NOT be covered by the VERY expensive warrantee that I had purchased and said it would require a autobody technician or something to look at it. She suggested that I get some L brackets and try to secure the dashboard myself!!! Nearly 2 weeks later on the day of my appointment with service I called them to go over the issues and was pretty much told that most of the issue weren't going to be covered. At that point I left a message for the service manager for him to call me so we could discuss what was going on. By the time he called me back later in the day (about 45 min before writing this review) I had cancelled the pointless appointment with their service department. When I spoke to the General Manager and explained a few of the issues and told him about the Dashboard issue that happened he basically told me that the dashboard is not something that they would have looked at or checked during the inspection!!!! I get that it wouldn't have been something that would been easily caught but to give that kind of response to hearing that the vehicle they sold a customer almost KILLED THEM! I was so p!ss#d off after hearing that level of not giving a crap I ended up ending up hanging up. Personally, If I sold something that almost killed a family because of a major issue/defect I would care about it and not make excuses. read more

We bought our trailer and are looking forward to making good memories. But our journey was something else. Here's our detailed experience with Fretz RV: 1. Day one - looked around for our travel trailer. Salesperson was able to find a travel trailer that would suit our needs. However, he seemed a little nonchalant - which I guess is okay with us since we do not like people who are pushy. Just would have appreciated a little more specifics and details about what we are looking at. We actually end up placing an order for a trailer that's not there. This was in February. Was told it'll be ready by April and at most May. 2. Salesperson tells me delivery date will be delayed (May) - had to cancel our one trip because of the delay and pay the penalty. We understand pandemic affected the production line so, it's the way it is. We told the sales person about our KOA trip at the end of May and was hoping to still be able to go. Salesperson tells us to come and look at model that was on the lot. Trip was still a week away. We agreed to change models. Signed some paperwork. 3 hours later, salesperson tells us they could not prep the rv in time for our trip anyway because they've had really good sales and basically we can go elsewhere if we don't like the timeline. Like, they knew we are doing this change to go on our trip - making us come back to the dealership and waste 3 hours just to tell us we still can't get it in time is a little too much for us. Thought they'd compromise and give us a rental for a good price since they can't get it together to prep it despite our initial order date being 3 months age - they don't care. Full price rental. What can we say. We rented it anyway, just cutting our loses and moving ahead. 3. Pick up date - finally ready for our rental. Our salesperson made us wait 1.5 hours past our appt time before getting to us, because he was with someone else. We were there way past our appt, someone else had to do our paperwork and he just abruptly hooked the hitch distribution system to our car (which did take a while cause not all the parts were there and ready), showed us around quickly and off we go to the storage lot. He sold us a used hitch system - so there was no manual to look over to figure out how to unhook the hitch system. When we got to the storage place, as I tried to unhook the system - the metal bar flung back and hit me across the forehead. I was on the ground bleeding. Forehead gashed open, 5 stitches across, and a concussion. It would have been nice for them to walk us through how to use it, but I guess it didn't matter to them. I should have done my own research since I can't really rely on them to walk through stuff, so I'll blame myself for that. 4. Post-pick up: FIRST, we realized the bunk bed locking system was broken, salesperson said he fixed it, but it was obviously still not working and screws just came right off. This is the manufacturers fault so I let them off the hook. SeCOND, I realize the gas tank covers on the outside were not given to us, despite it being there when we first saw it, and photos on their website with the exact serial numbers had it. I'm still waiting for him to tell me what's up what that. THIRD, the back up camera. AN HOUR AFTER having to work through the SEALANT SEALED ACROSS THE SCREWDRIVER HOLES and removing the the black backup camera cap to fit the camera system they sold me - it does NOT fit under the ladder, and is definitely not compatible with the trailer they just sold me. And of course it started raining and now water is sipping into the trailer because the original sealant was ripped off in order to try to install the camera. Now the storE is closed, and I'm still waiting to go back to return the camera. I'm sorry but I never expected buying a travel trailer to be so difficult and unpleasant. For the records, I bought a Jayco 171BH and we are looking forward to making good memories with it. Hopefully these unpleasant encounters will be in the past, and the management will take note of this and take care these remaining ends. The salesperson I worked with is a really nice man with a good heart, replying to texts late in the evening and pleasant to work with, and of course I really appreciated him doing work for us - but I felt taking advantaged because of my demographics and I don't think this is the experience FretzRV is hoping for their customers to have - which unfortunately I did. read more

I purchased this travel trailer 03/26/2019 brand new X23E . In 06/19/2020 I took it in for Pa.State Insp., no big deal. Pandemic came and they told me Camper had to sit there for 2 weeks before they could look at it. (had to be in quarantine). Also had complaint about the awning lights would get very bright and then dim. Of course they were unable to "recreate the issue". I did have friends notice this when out on a trip. They also replaced the spare tire mount as the welds were cracked due to "over tightening of the bolts". .I also mentioned that I had a water leak at the left rear bed when closed. They said they found "a gap in the D/S of rear termination molding. Cleaned and sealed corner. Set unit up for spray test". Also mentioned that a privacy curtain had broken clips, this was mentioned at delivery. No body knew anything about this issue. 07/31/2020 took unit back to have privacy curtains replaced, new shore power cord replace due to power light on cord burn't out. Also on a trip in between both these services the power jack would not operate and had to manually lower tongue jack. Being an auto mechanic I found that the glass fuse inside the holder was blown in pieces. Never saw anything like this. Found a hardware store and bought and installed a new fuse and holder. Fretz fixed replaced the fuse and holder under warranty and charged Jayco $93.10 but nothing for my time or my temp repair while out on vacation. They did replace a broken a/c vent under goodwill (what ever that meant), was told Tech had one sitting on his work bench. 08/10/2020 took unit back in for an electrical issue.Told them the battery had a drain on it as unit sat a few days without shore power. Now again being an automobile mechanic I knew something was not right and talking to friends who have just about the same model. I have written down voltage readings on battery on a daily basis. Well service dept. calls and says they cannot find anything wrong with the electrical system and that them carbon dioxide detector will draw the battery down. Well in 2-3 days? So they tell me it needs a battery and that they had to add 1 gallon of water to it because the cells were dry, and the battery will cost me $94.95 plus $79.80 for electrical system check. they said it was neglect of maintenance. Again being an auto mechanic I know a battery will not take 1 gallon of water, plus battery was taken out of unit during winter and put on a maintenance charge. So I do to pick unit up at Fretz after battery issue. they had unit for over a week. I go to hook up unit to truck and SURPRIZE no power in unit. They tell me its because it sat a few days....REALLY?? 07/05/2021 go on a vacation only to find that the floor by the left rear bed that they supposably sealed is very soft. The floor is now rotted and apparently the leak still exists, plus the power tower in rear is not working (possible) water damage? Great vacation. 07/28/2021 no power inside camper, blown 30amp fuse, is it normal you need to carry a box of fuses and towels with you when you own one of these? Very disappointed with this purchase and much more $ to pay on it. I did put a call into Jayco and waiting for response until I call Fretz. read more

Would have given no stars if I could... Never have we run into a rude inconsiderate salesman as we did on Sept 29th 2018. My wife called to check on a Itasca Navion that was active on Fretz's website. My wife ask if it was still available and was rudely greeted with a loud shout in her ear "SOLD". Salesman then stated he had a 2010 he was working on with another customer and when my wife stated to the salesman (and I know this for a fact) that Fretz is notorious for keeping active postings on their website long after the RV is sold. He rudely hung up on her!! REALLY!!! If this is how they conduct business we will go elsewhere. There are too many RV dealers out there that would be more than happy to have our business. I had a great experience at Fretz's. I ordered my Jayco Octane SL209 at the Hershey show. When I went to pick it up at Fretz,s they had already done the PDI and winterized the rv. Ron, who works in the service dept took over 3 hours to show me how everything worked, even though it was freezing out. There is a recall on the Dometic Cooktops in Coachmen Novas. Either the Coachmen or Dometic rep recommended Fretz RV, which services Dometic components. I sent the required paperwork to Fretz on 10/08/2022, first to sales (11/15) who confirmed receipt and forwarded it to service) and later directly to service. I reached out to service on 11/16, 11/24, and today. Service has yet to confirm receipt, has not ordered a replacement from Dometic, and/or let me know when they expect the replacement cooktop in. They have not responded to calls from the Dometic representative either. I am beginning to wonder whether their service division is still open. I am contacting them again now. I tried to remove the review to give them another chance but the system wouldn't let me. read more

We didn't buy our RV at Fretz but they just completed our Jayco warranty work. They absolutely have the friendliest and most knowledgeable staff you will find. All of the repairs were completed to our satisfaction, and it was a disarmingly pleasant experience from start to finish. I like our salesman Pete. He is first class. When I spoke with him concerning an issue with our motorhome connecting to our car and the lights not working he suggested I bring it into the service department as they have equipment that would identify and solve the problem. I've been working on it for two days so I was delighted to hear this however your service department was unwilling to help as I didn't purchase the towing package from them but I did purchase the $150,000 RV from Fretz. I'm left with a problem that would be simple for the service department to fix because I didn't buy it from them. I wasn't expecting it to be a free service I am willing to pay for the service but still no help. I'm very disappointed as I thought this dealership really cared but I now see you don't. I was too quick Fretz RV and allow me to explain. I've been working on a wiring problem for two straight days from morning till night so I was much upset. The service department told me they couldn't help me because I didn't buy the towing package from them but I did buy the RV from them and was willing to pay for their service. Never the less the service girl said I have to take someone else to get the lights to work so I didn't give them a good review. About 15 minutes after writing the review I received a phone call from Steve Fretz (owner). After a short conversation he said he spoke to his service manager and agreed to help fix my problem. Apparently they do care as it saids on their website and he are scheduling my vehicles to repaired. I am relieved to have good quality service people working on my equipment. Nice try Steve....I disclosed previous damage before deal. All damage was fixed and trailer was updated with lithium batties. Better then new. The only thing that could be considered still damaged was the electric hitch, which after a loss of power we discovered you can't move trailer so we converted it to manual. You had a week to look over the trailer before papers were signed. We were not given a week to check out the Nova, had we papers would not of been signed, but we trusted you, which was wrong on our part. I have to question your techs spending 5 hours trying to fix. Both items are in the Dodge manual, which means it is a chassis problem, they might have voided the warranty had they started to monkey around. Hopefully they are smart enough to know that. Can you answer the open recall on brakes which I found out about when putting in my dodge claim? Not from you or your service team. A reputable dealer is aware of recalls and has them fixed. Stop trying to defend and excuse either your incompetence or underhandedness, your just making it worse. Just heard back from Dodge on warranty claim. Only dealers able to work on warranty problems are 5 hours away! This just gets worse and worse. Thanks Fretz. read more

Fretz Rv, and especially salesperson, AL Papa are and is the GREATEST! Had a very smooth experience there with the inventory, purchase, financing and other paperwork. Nice people to work with. Its worth the drive if you have to do so. I drove about an hour and a half to get there and it was very worth my wild. Your salesman (Harris)tied them down himself according to him. If you buy from out of state your on your own. Wish could have given them a zero star. That's how much help and how much they cared after the sale. Typical sales job. The trailer has been such a disaster and disappointment can't stand to look at it and haven't used it once. Guess it's the transporters fault that the bedroom slide has leaked from day one. And the trim around the bathroom door is cracked and the door won't close and the ceiling trim has fallen on one side and every piece of trim running across the ceiling is cut short and tape was used to cover. EVERYONE OF THESE ITEMS SHOULD HAVE BEEN FIXED IN MAKE READY. The trailer spent four days in make ready. If you want to be dropped like a rock after the sale. JEFF Q "Poor experience with 2013 Mercedes purchase" 2013 Mercedes 3500 conversion -- Purchase 02/2020 I understood that this van was a consignment sale, but I was under the impression from the beginning that this vehicle had at least been checked out. Dealer sales listing stated it would be PA inspected prior to sale and I was assured it had been done the day of the sale but was told no inspection sticker was installed because I live out of state. Post purchase I rotated the tires and found all the rear dual lug nuts rusty and had not been removed in months -- the water heating and rear furnace heating system is not operational -- the refrigerator will not cool below 50 degrees -- fresh water fill line was torn and hanging under vehicle at rear axle. Though Pete was a very nice person, that is the extent of my pleasure with this dealer. I will also share some of the blame, as I drove from Virginia Beach to purchase this vehicle during an absolute downpour and did not take the hours necessary to individually check each system to it's fullest or take it to another dealer to have them evaluated. Given their name and reputation, I would have expected that someone would have at least checked these systems prior to agreeing to list it -- this Purchase from this dealer was no better than a newspaper ad. ------------------------------------------ Fretz RV responded publicly on 3/05/20 8:34 AM Jeff, I'm sorry to hear you are not happy with your purchase. With a consignment vehicle sale, we are only a broker. We DO NOT check the operation of the appliances. We DO perform a safety check on the LP gas system as well as the Pennsylvania safety inspection (tire condition and tread depth, brake pad wear, turn signals, etc.) so we know the vehicle is safe to operate. In respect to consignment sales, it is similar to a "newspaper ad", but we still perform the safety checks that you would likely NOT get with a private party sale. The used vehicles we own (unless they are older than 10 years or have known / disclosed issues) go through a complete systems check, appliance check, water and LP systems check, etc. Anything we find regarding the operation would be repaired. However, on a vehicle we don't own, we can not authorize the repairs. The gentleman I spoke to was kind enough to forward me the PA PUB-45 (Vehicle Equipment and Inspection Regulations). Page 17 regarding "Certificate of Inspection" (or the inspection sticker as it is known) and Page 59 Section 7 (Wheels on opposing axles to be removed) were both interesting reading. He also sent me another article dealing with requirements for temporary tags which states: "Verification that the car has been safety inspected and emission inspected". Lastly he gave me the phone number for the PA State Troopers Barracks. Both he and the State Trooper agreed on two things: 1) "No Certificate of Inspection (the sticker) on windshield, No inspection performed 2) "No temporary tag can be issued on a non-inspected vehicle To my credit, I have both, an un-inspected vehicle with a 60 day temporary tag. To bad you chose to go to great lengths to explain what you think you do vs. simply apologizing for what you did not. My final advice for someone buying a "consignment" from Fretz Inc. - "It Is, As Is, Where Is" and make sure it has a sticker before it leaves the lot. read more

Spoke to a Mr Harris over the phone and expressed interest in particular camper they had advertised online ...I advised I would be arriving around 7-7:30 (since I knew they closed at 8pm) Mr Harris told me to come by he will have it ready to show... I called Mr Harris when I was 30 minutes from his location to update him. I arrive and off the back he seemed agitated. I introduced my self and at no point did he bother to get my name, give his name or shake my hand... "now I have to find this rv" was his response as he walked away from me and my family.. so I wait at the door with Steve who was a pleasure.. then Mr Harris screams at us to "cmon" ( as he is waiving his hands in the air) from the other side of the store.. I follow and I get a "we close @8 I don't have all day" At this point I was uninterested in being "helped" by Mr Harris, but being it that we just drove an hr and a half I said hopefully this rv sells itself... we get to the rv and the rv isn't even available for viewing, slide out was closed and doors locked.. mr Harris goes "welp everything is closed so I really can't show it to you, can you come back another day" and proceeds to walk back to the showroom... I have been in sales 20+ yrs and have worked a great deal in vehicle sales... I've never treated a customer as my family and I were treated today... I called a previous seller of an rv I had viewed and gave them a deposit on their Rv... tomorrow I will be picking up my new Rv... I just had to share my experience here so no one is treated as we were treated here at Fretz. read more
