JEFF Q "Poor experience with 2013 Mercedes purchase" 2013 Mercedes 3500 conversion -- Purchase 02/2020 I understood that this van was a consignment sale, but I was under the impression from the beginning that this vehicle had at least been checked out. Dealer sales listing stated it would be PA inspected prior to sale and I was assured it had been done the day of the sale but was told no inspection sticker was installed because I live out of state. Post purchase I rotated the tires and found all the rear dual lug nuts rusty and had not been removed in months -- the water heating and rear furnace heating system is not operational -- the refrigerator will not cool below 50 degrees -- fresh water fill line was torn and hanging under vehicle at rear axle. Though Pete was a very nice person, that is the extent of my pleasure with this dealer. I will also share some of the blame, as I drove from Virginia Beach to purchase this vehicle during an absolute downpour and did not take the hours necessary to individually check each system to it's fullest or take it to another dealer to have them evaluated. Given their name and reputation, I would have expected that someone would have at least checked these systems prior to agreeing to list it -- this Purchase from this dealer was no better than a newspaper ad. ------------------------------------------ Fretz RV responded publicly on 3/05/20 8:34 AM Jeff, I'm sorry to hear you are not happy with your purchase. With a consignment vehicle sale, we are only a broker. We DO NOT check the operation of the appliances. We DO perform a safety check on the LP gas system as well as the Pennsylvania safety inspection (tire condition and tread depth, brake pad wear, turn signals, etc.) so we know the vehicle is safe to operate. In respect to consignment sales, it is similar to a "newspaper ad", but we still perform the safety checks that you would likely NOT get with a private party sale. The used vehicles we own (unless they are older than 10 years or have known / disclosed issues) go through a complete systems check, appliance check, water and LP systems check, etc. Anything we find regarding the operation would be repaired. However, on a vehicle we don't own, we can not authorize the repairs. The gentleman I spoke to was kind enough to forward me the PA PUB-45 (Vehicle Equipment and Inspection Regulations). Page 17 regarding "Certificate of Inspection" (or the inspection sticker as it is known) and Page 59 Section 7 (Wheels on opposing axles to be removed) were both interesting reading. He also sent me another article dealing with requirements for temporary tags which states: "Verification that the car has been safety inspected and emission inspected". Lastly he gave me the phone number for the PA State Troopers Barracks. Both he and the State Trooper agreed on two things: 1) "No Certificate of Inspection (the sticker) on windshield, No inspection performed 2) "No temporary tag can be issued on a non-inspected vehicle To my credit, I have both, an un-inspected vehicle with a 60 day temporary tag. To bad you chose to go to great lengths to explain what you think you do vs. simply apologizing for what you did not. My final advice for someone buying a "consignment" from Fretz Inc. - "It Is, As Is, Where Is" and make sure it has a sticker before it leaves the lot. read more

Spoke to a Mr Harris over the phone and expressed interest in particular camper they had advertised online ...I advised I would be arriving around 7-7:30 (since I knew they closed at 8pm) Mr Harris told me to come by he will have it ready to show... I called Mr Harris when I was 30 minutes from his location to update him. I arrive and off the back he seemed agitated. I introduced my self and at no point did he bother to get my name, give his name or shake my hand... "now I have to find this rv" was his response as he walked away from me and my family.. so I wait at the door with Steve who was a pleasure.. then Mr Harris screams at us to "cmon" ( as he is waiving his hands in the air) from the other side of the store.. I follow and I get a "we close @8 I don't have all day" At this point I was uninterested in being "helped" by Mr Harris, but being it that we just drove an hr and a half I said hopefully this rv sells itself... we get to the rv and the rv isn't even available for viewing, slide out was closed and doors locked.. mr Harris goes "welp everything is closed so I really can't show it to you, can you come back another day" and proceeds to walk back to the showroom... I have been in sales 20+ yrs and have worked a great deal in vehicle sales... I've never treated a customer as my family and I were treated today... I called a previous seller of an rv I had viewed and gave them a deposit on their Rv... tomorrow I will be picking up my new Rv... I just had to share my experience here so no one is treated as we were treated here at Fretz. read more

TL;DR version: poor, poor, slow response from service folks. Lackadaisical attitude toward helping paying customers and terrible communication. Purchased a travel trailer (used, only two years old) from Fretz during their big open house sale back in 2015. Everything was good to go until this winter when I took it in for some repairs due to a water leak and a failed awning motor. I called them a few weeks ahead and scheduled drop off. This all went off without a hitch. I contacted my insurance company and filed the claim for the water damage and informed Fretz that the awning motor should be covered by warranty. Within a few days, the adjuster contacted me and said he was going to check out the RV two days later, on a Thursday. About two weeks later (forgive me, I didn't' write all the dates down as I didn't realize at the time how poorly this was all going to go) I hadn't heard anything from Fretz, the adjuster or my insurance. Now look, I get it. It's the end of the season, everyone is bringing in their RVs and trailers. I wasn't going anywhere anytime soon with it, but I did expect the ball to be rolling. Nobody at Fretz, the adjuster or insurance had any idea of the status. They all pointed the finger at each other. Ok, no problem. I can mediate and make more calls and get it figured out. Many hours and a few days later, after more finger pointing and passing the buck, I finally got everyone on the same page. But then Fretz told me the awning motor wouldn't be covered by the insurance. I explained, again, that it was a warranty issue. Covered by the warranty they had sold me. The person I spoke to said they had no idea. So we got that squared away too. Whew. Now we just had to get the check from the insurance company to to Fretz and we could get the parts ordered. They were kind enough to at least put me on the schedule so that it wouldn't get all booked up. Even though, at this point, they had already had my trailer for 3 weeks or so. I was now on the schedule for 2 months from then. Again, it's winter, I'm not going anywhere. I can deal. Had it not been winter though...and had my unit been unusable....well, that would certainly be less than ideal. So fast forward to my unit being repaired and shiny and clean. The detail department accidentally washed the whole thing and the awning rather than just cleaning the carpet that was damaged by the water issues. Yay! Thanks guys! Definitely won some bonus points for the first time in this process. So, we advise that we will come by on Saturday to pick up. They say cool! We show up, pay the deductible or whatever for the warranty repair (no deductible on the insurance due to never having an insurance claim before!) and the guy shows me a terrible map and says it might be up at our other lot up the road. Not sure where, or if, it is there. But go take a look. So up the road we go to search for our camper. We find it. It is nestled tightly between two others so no chance of checking out the repair until we pull it out. So, we go to hook it up and guess what? Dead battery (which was fully charged when we dropped it off) so that electric jack doesn't work. Neither would the slide, BTW, if we had tried to open it to check the repair out. So I have to hand crank the electric jack, which is no picnic, especially once you get it hooked up to the truck and then have to jack it even higher to put on the weight distro hitch. My arms are now like jelly and I call down to the office and the person who answered the phone begrudgingly advises that someone inside of the door at the building there might be able to help. I ask which door, because there are multiple doors and she doesn't know. To say that she was less than enthusiastic to assist would be an understatement. So we finally get someone to hook up a jump pack and we get it all hooked up. We drive it to our seasonal site and drop it off. Now, it is February, and the campground isn't open yet. And there is no power. And our battery is dead. So we still can't really get a good look at the full extent of repairs or to even test the new awning motor. So we wait. We head back to the camper on March 29 for our first weekend of the year. I notice there is a tear in the awning that wasn't there before. So I call Fretz. I get the same unenthusiastic employee as I did when picking it up. She says they have no record of doing work on my awning or cleaning the awning, so they couldn't have caused the damage. I explain to her that the motor was replaced and that it was accidentally cleaned and she says "Oh, well you were dealing with so and so, I will have her call you." On April 6, I still hadn't heard from anyone so I called back. I was told I had to talk to the service manager, but he wasn't in. I could leave him a message if I wanted. I said I would call back. I called Monday and he was out again, but I could leave a message. I asked to speak to the other person I was told to talk to but they were busy. So I left a mess read more

We were promised that we would stay on "the top of the list" until we received the Ontour with the interior finishes we selected. Today, we learned from Pete Cozi and Gary Geib that is not the case. If we don't accept this Ontour (the first one they offered us), we go to the bottom of the list, behind all the other people waiting for an Ontour. Fretz will not honor the promise made by Pete Cozi. They will sell the Ontour that we turned down "to the highest bidder" --- not the other people who are waiting for an Ontour. Does that sound ethical? read more

He was very knowledgeable answering all our questions and took his time with us. Gave us some great pointers too. It's a great place to visit for hands-on experience. without explaining everything, which took places over several days & countless emails, suffice it to say: -i provided my credit scores/chapter 7 status & dates/downpayment amount, details about what might be possible or not, & stressing the importance of being sure something would be viable BEFORE running a credit check. -having worked in a dealership, it's up to the managers, sales & finance, to be familiar with their lenders' policies & margins, so as not to waste anyone's time, or more importantly, damage anyone's credit further, as these are people trying to rebuild. -using experian, which is well-known to be lax in updating records,& out-of-touch with current standards used by transunion & equifax, is a dead-ended,& limiting prospect, narrowing everyone's chances to put together a deal, & a baffling choice with their reputation for a business that deals with all sorts of clients regularly. once we'd exchanged days worth of copious emails, & i was confident this was a dealership that had done its' homework, i submitted my application, & 5 minute...let me repeat that -5 minutes later i received an email saying that all lenders had turned it down. i complained, & there ensued several emails from the owner, giving ecery excuse under the sun, explaining in a condescending way that it was everyone's fault but theirs, & never saying,"we shouldn't have run it, because all our lenders have a certain set standard & you did not meet the criteria". i now have a credit score that has dropped 76 points, & still have yet to hear from fretz that they did not bother to correlate & apply the information i provided, so this could have been precluded. all they said was, "sorry we couldn't get financing"... besides the point, lacking in accountability or ability to move forward without these rushed & damaging experiences... i would not ever do business with them. it's simply a matter of trust that someone will take care with the information you provide, & do their very best, even if it means forwarding the business to someone else who might be able to help, which i did often when i sold commercial vehicles. this was an unpleasant, damaging & unnecessary waste of my time, & the mark of the unprofessional dealerships that causes all the tacky jokes about car salesmen. read more

The team at Fretz rv are nice a little scattered but ok to deal with. Now the motorhome we bought was not clean. I dont think they went over anything to see if it worked. We picked it up end of October and its been in the shop since then. Cant even tell you how many things are wrong with it. I came to fill propane in my coach as I usually do. Anyway, Luke (salesperson) and other guys from the sales department were traipsing in the retail area NOT WEARING MASKS and threatening the health of not only their co-workers, but also customers!!! There were no less than 4 employees in total that I saw doing this. Two I HAD TO ASK to put masks on, one ran by me quickly having heard me ask the other, and the last "hid". This is a complete and utter failure of management and dare I say ownership. Today's date is December 12, 2020. Yesterday more than 3000 people DIED, and yet these yahoos are running around without masks as if it's a joke. We are selling our coach and will be in the market for a new one. I live less than 5 miles from you...but I will no longer patronize a business who does not cherish the health and well being of both employees and customers. read more

Update: Fair enough. I have also contacted crossroads. It is unfortunate that any issues in a brand new unit less than a year old and is not due to neglect or miss use is considered "goodwill". For the speaker and LED lights again it is unfortunate that a brand new item is not covered for a year. As a two time Jayco and Fretz Customer, had the worst experience and attitude from the sales management ever!!!!! Will never deal with Fretz again. This is the second bad experience we had with them. Last year we tried to purchase our third Jayco there and made all the arrangements with the sales department to come pick up a new unit. Travelled all the way down with our Jayco expecting to trade, and no one told us the unit was completely torn apart trying to fix a water leak. There we sat, and the sales management would not even take anything off the price if we would have taken the water soaked unit once they fixed it!!!! Kind of like here it is take it or leave it. We left it and Purchased a Shadow Cruiser. Missing the Jayco product we gave them another shot and what a mistake that was trying to work with them!!! We called the afternoon before to look at a 2018 Winnebago, with an MSRP of $174k. Spoke with Don, and he told us we can't test drive on Saturdays, the batteries are dead, and it's buried 4 deep. He advised us to call a wk in advance to schedule a drive or come midweek. I work out of state, and live 2 hours from the dealership. We have plans all summer, and tomorrow is the only possible day we'd be able to make it work. We are serious buyers, and were most likely going to purchase after months of research. Guess they don't like selling RVs all that much, which explains why it's been on the lot that long as a "Manager's Special". read more

I gave this company 1 star because you can't give zero stars! We purchased a used class A from this dealership. It was an out of state deal. The first issue was with the paperwork. We asked for a copy of the contract so that we could get insurance on the RV. When the contract was sent the dollar figures were incorrect; the price and the trade in value were inflated. We were told this was to increase equity with the bank and to increase the replacement value for insurance purposes. That is a questionable business practice at best! At this point we should've called the deal off! Unfortunately we didn't. When it came time to pick the RV up, we called 2 days ahead to advise we were coming to pick it up and to make sure it would be ready since we were travelling from out of state. My husband made the trip from Central New York to PA to pick up the camper on 8/31/16 as scheduled. When he arrived there were issues with the generator and the air conditioner. The camper was in no way ready to be picked up. The salesman assured him it would be ready the following week and that they would deliver the camper to our home free of charge. The week came and went, still no camper. We cancelled the weekend camping trip we had scheduled and my husband called and spoke with the salesman. The salesman told us it would be delivered this week. My husband called the dealership yesterday to find out where the camper is and when we can expect it to be delivered. We were told that nobody is available that can help us because they are all at a big camping show in Hershey. Did the salesman not know about the camping show when he told us they would be delivering this week? It looks like we will be cancelling the camping plans this week too. At this point we are being charged interest on the loan for the camper and we haven't even received it yet. We are so annoyed with this dealership that we are considering cancelling the deal and asking for a full refund. I would not recommend this dishonest dealership with questionable business practices to anyone. read more

another couple rented a small trailer from your company from 10/14 to 10/17. We go once a year to Knoebels up the mountains and we are getting a little old for sleeping in tents and freezing at night. The manager of rentals explained to us how everything worked and we followed his directions. We also had many trailer owners and renters with us. The first night we go in to turn in and try to turn the heat on. It stayed on for about 10 seconds and kept going right back off. It was late so I waited until the next Day to call the rental manager who said it sounds like it's out of propane take the tank and get it filled and hold the receipt. Mind you we were told when we went to pick up the trailer the propane was full. So now we have to go find somewhere where we can find propane only to find out the tank was full. I called again and was told it must be something internally sorry about that. We paid $577 for 3 nights and mornings of freezing our buttons off. I was actually told to sleep closer to my husband and make pretend I like him. WHAT??? I totally expected him to say I will have someone come drop another one off or come repair it but nope just a sorry about that. When we returned the trailer the manager looked at in and tried the heat and said yea there is definitely something wrong with it. No kidding. For our inconvenience he is going to give us a free night the next time we rent. Seriously? I will never go back there and rent again and then I am told oh your security deposit will be mailed to you. The security deposit should have been placed on hold until the trailer was returned not taken from our account. The whole experience was extremely frustrating and we so look forward to this one weekend a year. I think you need some changes made at your company and I really hope you do. In response to Steve Fretz's list of excuses. A. When I shopped for the Serenity there were five listed on the website. Four were presold. They all have stock numbers, so when I left a deposit on a specific vehicle, it was not a vehicle that wasn't available when I left the deposit. And anyone in business knows that a deposit is made to create a legally binding contract between buyer and seller. The simple fact is you sold a vehicle that you later realized you didn't want to sell. B. You sold me a vehicle with an acknowledged defective part, which should have been replaced ASAP. Not only did you not notify me when the part came in, you never notified me of the status of the RV for the length of time it was in your shop (or, more accurately, sitting in the lot untouched. C. I did inform both the sales department and service that the vehicle was not completely winterized. Because the replacement of the defective part required operating the plumbing to ensure correct operation. D. When I left the RV off at your shop, I photographed the odometer, with the suspicion that since I had purchased your only Serenity, you might use it for demonstrations while in your shop. When I picked it up, I again photographed the odometer, which had 100 more miles on it. The Mercedes dealer it was taken to for a wheel balance was 15 miles away. That leaves 70 unaccounted for miles. Even with a test drive to confirm the wheel balance issue, that is far more than should have been put on. I think my suspicions were confirmed. Yet instead of any apology for this disgraceful treatment, you choose to only offer excuses. None of which are at all valid. If I could give 0 stars as a rating, I would. I only hope before shopping at Fretz, others will read this review, so when they get mistreated, they will have been warned. And although mine may be the only review on Yelp, I have read others from other sources (like Google) from people who have had similar substandard treatment, both in sales and service. Fretz has a nice selection of boots and western wear, but avoid their RV business at all costs. I have contacted Leisure Travel (manufacturer of the Serenity) and they have advised me I can take my vehicle to another vendor for warranty service, so you will not likely see me again. Any offer by me to show my RV to a perspective buyer while you are without one in stock is rescinded. read more

I spoke to Andrew Long before driving one hour and 45 minutes to look at and purchase a $15,000 used trailer advertised on their site, rvtrader, etc. When i arrived the trailer had mold, mildew, sitting water inside, and insect infestation. If you are are going to advertise trailer for sale at least clean it and save serious buyers the time. Disgraceful product. Andrew mentioned something about talking to management. We called a few times within a 3-day period and left messages for Mason. Finally got a response, and told him we wanted to look at the 2011 Winnebago View. We set up appointment and drove 3 hours, only to find the motorhome wouldn't start, the handles were broken off an outside storage compartment, and the shower head was stuffed inside another outside compartment. The battery was dead, so couldn't put the steps down to get inside, or operate the pop-out. We were not happy. Horrible customer service. read more

Every once in a while you come across a business with what can be called old fashioned values. These can include anything from basic courtesy to treating customers like family to making it right if something does go wrong. Fretz managed to do all of these and more. There was a wrinkle with our deal that had us worried but they applied a very hot iron to straighten it out. Out sales person took excellent care of us the entire time and ensured that we knew the inside and out of our coach. I can't say enough good things about these guys. read more

Working with Fretz RV was a real pleasure, from the RV Show at Harrisburg, where we put our down-payment in, to delivery. Especially noteworthy was the extra effort that Brian, in the Business Office made, to get absolutely all of the paperwork done well in advance, for my out-of-state credit union and insurance company. The ONLY negative was the rushed PDI. We only had about 90 minutes to learn everything. The person giving the PDI even said that the purpose was to give the buyer enough info to get the unit home. Anything else we could read-up on. This Fifth Wheel is FAR to complicated a piece of equipment for that, and frankly, since the JAYCO manual is too generically directed, it's useless in figuring the trailer out. Fortunately, I've been able to ask questions, and get answers from the fellow Jayco owners on the Jayco Owners Forum. Without them, I'd be lost! read more

After one long trip, without a working hot water heater, realized that this travel trailer is not what we want. I have emailed, and left phone messages 4 times to get someone to call me about consigning our trailer and purchasing a new one - no one ever returns the calls. My wife and i made an appointment to meet with sales person for a purchase, we drove 3 hours from Maryland, was so disappointed the sales person was too busy with other customers. The management did not provide any sales person to assist out RV search. A nice young man service technician were able to unlock a few RV's to view. We bought a brand new Jayco Alante class a motor home in 2021 at Hershey Show. Went to pick it up as soon as my husband started driving noticed a problem with brakes. Brought to Ford for service. Needed a new master cylinder. That was just the beginning of our problems. So it was in shop for 5 weeks. Then took it on first camping trip and water heater and refrigerator wasn't working. Had to throw out my food. Brought in for service. Told both problems were resolved. Not only was that not true but now freezer wasn't working. Again goes back for service. 5 weeks later still haven't resolved refrigerator. Had to cancel another camping trip. We re requesting a new fridge as they can't seem to figure out the issue. They re really not happy about that. So here we are trying to get our brand new unit fixed. It's been in service a few times for months now. If I knew I would have more problems with a new unit than I had with my old one I would ve kept the old one. Hopefully we get this resolved without further action. But they don't seem to be in a hurry to get my unit fixed. read more

Saw two postings on Facebook marketplace so we took a drive down after a long day of work. The store front desk people were very kind however they directed us to the sales floor in the back. We went up in the back looked at the board with all the campers didn't see the ones we were looking for, there was a sales man standing there so we asked him he said abruptly those are sold we advised him they are still on facebook and craigslist he then said dismissively ya those things are hard to take off when we put them up. Which if they can put it up they can take it off just the same, anyway. We then asked if they gad anything in our price range. Then he says if u wanna look at the used ones out back go ahead. Look just because im not there to spend $50,000 does not mean my $6500 is not just as green as that $50,000. Ill take my business elsewhere along will everyone else i know. I visited twice to shop for travel trailers. Both times, the male RV salesmen were less-than-interested in talking with me, and when they did, were quite patronizing and condescending. The one guy who did talk with me at length followed up with clearly canned emails, which he didn't even bother customizing with my name and the rigs we had discussed. Even after I replied pointing this out, he continued to do the same thing more than once until I told him to take me off his list. Never have I felt so disrespected and in-cared about as a customer. On the other hand, because theirs is the only camping store relatively nearby, I did go there to buy some gear to outfit the used trailer I ended up buying privately. In a complete turn of events, the woman behind the counter there was interested and engaged in helping not just me, but every customer who walked through the doors. She greeted us in a friendly way, cheerfully answered questions with knowledgeable answers, and even suggested an accessory I'd have had to come back for (butyl tape) when she saw I was replacing taillights. And even then, she phrased it, "Do you have some of this to make sure you avoid leaks behind those assemblies?" Very smooth, not pushy and truly helpful. Update June 15- Hard to believe it could get any worse... but it has. Bob the Service Mgr is a good guy, he said my RV was ready and even allowed an inspection. (Even though last time I came for a scheduled inspection, they didn't let me inspect it, I believe Bob.) Inspectors were busy for months, so I offered that I would sign Eric's mysterious "paperwork" remotely if they would deliver the RV to my mechanic to prep and then I'd pay to have it shipped to me in Texas. Mechanic is going on vacation next week, it had to be this week. I called and emailed, asking how they want this done. Eric the impolite GM who sends me threatening emails accusing me of being "unresponsive" said he'd Fedex his papers Tuesday. I agreed, but no Fedex came. HE NEVER SENT IT. Its Wednesday night, now Eric says maybe he would send it Fedex tomorrow... maybe... Its complete BS, there is no reason to even Fedex anything to sign in 2021 be real. Everyone uses email and scans. They have my RV for 4 months, I paid for it in full and they just play games after trying to sell it out from under me. I trusted Bob, but Eric is just playing the same weird games. Mystery "paperwork" preventing me from even touching my RV. Fretz is intent on forcing me to take the RV without ever knowing if it even runs, they keep moving the goal posts and they have not kept a single appointment or commitment they have made. They have my money, they have my RV and they have never kept a single commitment they have made. AND I STILL HAVE NO RV OR ANY CHANCE OF EVER SEEING IT! read more

We purchased our new Roadtrek Zion 2017 at the Hershey Show last September, and picked it up at Fretz RV in Sauderton, PA in January. We spent the next three months traveling throughout the southern states. Rick Hand was our salesperson and he has been there for us since Day One. Not only did Rick work closely with Roadtrek and us prior to delivery, he has always available to assist us whenever we needed help or advice along our travels. And yes, being brand new to RVing, we did need his help and advice a number of times. We need to plan a whole day to drive to and from Fretz RV, but believe me, the only rv place I will go is Fretz. If we need service, Rick sets up everything before we go. I wouldn't think of going anyplace else. read more

Our salesman (Don) tried to sell us an expensive weight distribution system for a nuCamp 320 S when the manufacturer states that it could damage the frame of the trailer. Without looking at our tow vehicle a price was quoted for wiring, prep and the price of the trailer. We accepted the offer and left a deposit. We insured the trailer and came back a week later with a bank check for the balance. While waiting we were told that the wiring would cost an additional $400 and that they would not include the friction sway control that was already installed and part of what they got when they took it in as a trade. They could install the same system, but (you guessed it) for more money. The sales manager made the ridiculous claim that since they didn't do the installation, there would be an insurance problem. Two things. First, if this is their policy, we should have been made aware of it before signing the contract. Second, this implies that any modification on a used trailer made by previous owners is always removed before the sale. The previous owner did many mods including replacing the tongue box with a larger aftermarket box. There was no plan to replace it with an original and it's something that could also cause serious damage if not installed properly. This looks something like a bait-and-switch to get more money from the customer. Bottom line is they gave up a +$20,000 sale for a $400 mistake on their part. (Salesman admitted that he should have inspected the tow vehicle before quoting.) We were paying sticker price, did not try to negotiate a lower amount. Our best guess is that they have another buyer lined up who is willing to pay more. If you're going to deal with these people, do it with eyes wide open. We left empty handed and will not return. read more

We made an appointment at Fretz today and drove a couple of hours from North Jersey to get there. It was well worth it. We were greeted by Eric the GM and he turned us over to Al Papa to explore the many offerings that Fretz has on sight. We also met with Steve Fretz during the process and I can honestly say that this may have been the best buying experience ever! We ended up ordering a Unity Leisure Van and the process couldn't have been more enjoyable and professional. Their product knowledge and willingness to take the time to explain all of their products was as good as it gets. I'm sitting at home hours later and know I made the absolute best decision with the absolute best RV dealer. Could anything have been better? Sure, a nice single malt scotch during the process would have been a nice touch but otherwise, Steve and his team are the best! read more

We purchased a used Jayco Jayflight this past weekend and could not be happier with it or the sales experience! Luke Wilson was our salesman and he was amazing. When we first went in he actually listened to what we were looking for our price range and showed us exactly that! Luke was awesome keeping in contact while they went over the camper to make sure everything was good and when we came to pick it up he took time out of his very busy Saturday (high sales day) to go over every single thing on the camper. My father (who has been camping his whole life and bought many campers) came with to make sure the camper was sound, was extremely impressed with Luke as well, stating that he has never had anyone go over the camper with him upon purchase. It was a great experience and we highly recommend you go see Luke for your next/new camper! read more

I've never written a review before, but my experience with Fretz has been so unsettling, I had to speak out. I have severe health issues related to mold that make it critical for me to have a camper with no leaks or moisture. I made that clear to the salesman upfront, as well as, wanting to get this camper to continue our family camping tradition after my husband passed away. For approximately $24,000, I financed a brand new 2018 Micro Minnie 1700BH at Fretz, Souderton PA on Dec 29, 2017 (my late husband's 48th birthday ). They agreed to store the camper on their lot through the winter. One week after purchase, I went to visit the camper to check for leaks due to extreme weather. I was dismayed to find the salesman left the cargo door open to the outside during 3 winter storms! When I approached Fretz about it they denied any moisture in the camper and told me to take it up with insurance. The Progressive insurance adjuster found up to 100% moisture in a large portion of the cargo floor and also along the majority of the driver side windows and walls of the camper and both windows by the bed and bunk. I did as well. Fretz still refuses to take any responsibility or honor warranty (BTW, I also purchased an extended warranty). Fretz continues to be abrasive and unwilling to offer a reasonable solution. As a result, I had to hire an attorney to try to resolve this. It's now the first week in April and I still have no resolution as the camper still sits on their lot while I continue to make monthly payments to the bank. Fretz is now threatening to charge me $20/day storage if I don't pick up this brand new water damaged camper this week!! Winnebago has ignored multiple attempts from my attorney to resolve this issue. As of today, they have not honored the warranty on this camper, which clearly has a manufacturer defect. We are still waiting for Winnebago's response. Progressive Insurance refused to honor a claim because although they recognize a serious moisture problem, it was not caused by a pipe bursting or tree falling on the camper. Had I known how ruthless these companies were, I would have gone to a different dealer for a different brand of camper and gotten different insurance. As a grieving widow with a chronic illness who is trying to raise my young son and take him to the national parks in his father's honor, I find this behavior unethical and immoral. This camper experience was supposed to offer peace and healing as we mourn our loss, but instead, it has been nothing but a source of stress and anxiety thanks to Fretz and Winnebago. read more

I can not recommend this dealership!!! The sales people will say anything to get you to buy and once you do decide to purchase an rv you are considered on the hook and you will be put in a long cue while the sales team tries to get other people to commit to an sale before finalizing your sale! A side note is they mark up all used rv 30k just to help you know! Please plan to spend the whole day there as a buyer. Just a major heads up, once you purchase an rv then the real fun begins if you actually need service.they will NOT keep you updated about your rv in any way, shape or form! communication is not in their vocabulary! I and many other consider it a black whole as they will get you in for service and tell you it will be 2 weeks. what they fail to say is the 2 weeks is just to figure out what is wrong. you will need to pickup and reschedule once they get parts and then they will have you bring back. then they will give you a pickup date that is always off by a min of 2 weeks. hopefully its not entering winter month as this will incur an additional $150 winterizing charge even though it was their delay. In conclusion they know they are the only game in town and could careless if you are upset or not as they can afford too not care if your a happy customer. I write this as someone who has dealt with them for a few years and wanted to at least give a heads up to future purchasers so they actually are aware of how they do business. read more

Just picked up my RV and everything was ready and they honored everything that was negotiated. Harris was great to deal with. He calls me back right away and he gives me information in a clear manner. He mentions things to me that I might not think of being new to this. Brian was great with the financing with a good rate simple interest loan and kept it quick and easy. No one tried to sell me the usual high margin extras either. read more

Can't say enough about Bob the service manager, he has always been helpful and responsive. I purchased a leftover 2016 Winnebago 5th wheel back in April of this year. The sales dept was ok as was the finance dept, all went pretty smooth. We set our 5th wheel up at a seasonal site in NJ. We have had several minor issues and it needed to go to the shop for repairs. This was not a dealership issue but a manufacturers issue. Bob has worked with us as a go between with Winnebago and so far has been awesome to work with. Hopefully these issues are resolved and we can get back to camping. Thanks again Bob for your hard work and dedication. You are a true asset to Fretz RV read more
