CAPS included for emphasis - these are important points so PAY ATTENTION!)…read more We recently purchased a 2025 Winnebago View 24t pretty much on the spot after reviewing a previously sold unit on the lot. Sight unseen one might say but we did have the opportunity to go through one on the lot. Unfortunately in the past, Winnebago, along with the other major RV manufacturers have long suffered from terrible reputations about quality control and service issues. Even with discussions with both Winnebago and Mercedes at the factory level, it is obvious the two national organizations just don't talk to each other. So many issues would be resolved if there were some type of meaningful communications. This is just one of the reasons we have kept our 1999 F350 / Bigfoot Oakland 3000 until last week (sold in preparation for this new purchase.) Having used RnR Rv for many years as a parts and occasional repair facility (had a refrigerator replaced once and picked up parts as needed while doing my own work) pretty much knew what we were getting into. That said, if I were someone who was unfamiliar with RnR Rv and just read the horrible reviews on this while looking for a new unit, well - probably wouldn't buy a new RV period from anyone - regardless of the dealership. There are going to be hiccups during the purchase/review/initial stages of owning a RV. What sets an organization apart from the rest is their ability to satisfy the customer by simply telling the truth, getting the job done and THEN standing behind the work ABSOLUTELY - without any song and dance. We have a few service issues, so that remains to be seen. That all begins next week. The SERVICE DEPARTMENT sets the tone for the entire organization - PAY ATTENTION RNR management! THREE names who have been in the forefront during this process were our sales reps and the service rep doing our walkthrough. BOB SANDENO, STEVE PACE and CORI FOSTER, in my view have gone out of their way to ENSURE things were done CORRECTLY and PROFESSIONALLY. When questions arose, they collectively took on the tasks and remedied any questions or concerns immediately. From the beginning, we agreed as these were new units, with new engines, some questions just couldn't be answered at the moment and "I don't know" would suffice. I simply asked NOT be "fed a line" - had that happened, the purchase would be off and they could explain their rationale to someone else. My expectations were FAR EXCEEDED by these folks. Straight up answers to straight up questions. We all want the bottom line, so here it is. Would we purchase another motorhome from Rnr RV. Qualified probably. 1. As long as BOB SANDENO, STEVE PACE, and CORI FOSTER were involved in EVERY aspect of the pre-sales, delivery inspections and immediate post sales issues - then, ABSOLUTELY. They EXCEEDED my expectations in every regard and ensured both my spouse and were comfortable with such a large purchase. 2. Because any purchased unit is YOUR PROBLEM once its off the lot, I took more time than usual inspecting the unit prior to delivery, A LOT more time. Probably ruffled a few feathers in the process, SO WHAT! I also mentioned for them to go find something to do while I was looking at the unit so they were forewarned. Not my problem. 3. During my inspection discovered items that were missed in the PDI (pre-delivery inspection) - now are documented for further service. Personally, I believe the PDI was pencil whipped so I took even more care while inspecting the vehicle. Welcome to US Military training. TRUST BUT VERIFY! 4. Prior to delivery, service wouldn't entertain ANY questions from me, despite the fact we had signed the contract for the unit. I hadn't been assigned a "Service Advisor" and wouldn't until the unit was delivered (therefore OUR problem to deal with warranty issues - garbage!) So, I started talking to Winnebago and Mercedes directly - much more helpful. Be forewarned. 5. To end this missive - please refer to item 1 above - those folks made this transaction possible. Everything else remains to be seen. 6. I'll say it again just in case you weren't paying attention. Purchase again? Qualified probably as long as the three individuals mentioned are included.

The water tanks were to be checked and repaired for leaks. When we finally got it back several obvious leaks were present. I had to have another entity fix it as we were traveling outside the area. They also returned it with a rundown battery and accused me of not maintaining the 2year old battery properly. I voiced concerns and NEVER heard back from anyone. I would never recommend this dealership for service. Go elsewhere!

After the roof was gone over and any possible problem spots were addressed I came to pick up the RV. When I drove it out I discovered it was still leaking after a heavy rainstorm. I turned around and went back. They accepted it back into the shop with no problems. After a week or two I was called that the RV was ready. When I arrived they surmised the leak was caused by a bolt or rivet had backed out near the front of the awning allowing water in. After fixing the issue I brought it home and had no other issues throughout the winter. Until I can get my shop finished it unfortunately is outside in the weather. I'm confident they spotted the issue and fived it properly. After all of this said I wanted to address their entire staff that I dealt with. All of them were very professional and genuinely seems to care about the issue I was having. I could tell the manager and tech(s) were a bit frustrated at not locating the leak initially. It is a rare day anymore when you come across a business that has genuine empathy for a customer and does everything possible to fix the issue. I cannot express how much I appreciate this business and it's employees. I have numerous friends with RV's of various sorts and openly recommend these folks in Hayden should they run into issues. Well done guys!

Jake Burwell, of Superior RV Repair It has been a heart…read morewrenching struggle to write this review, but we think it important that potential future customers know what to expect. And, in case you don't want to read a long review, let me just suggest you think twice about having Jake do any structural work that includes finish work, inside or out. Before we hired Jake, in the early spring of 2023, we read his reviews and they were mostly really good. However, in retrospect, we have to assume all those jobs were mechanical, unlike our job, which was structural and involved a lot of refinishing, both exterior and interior. Jake is a nice fellow, and we liked him from the start. He came out quickly when we first contacted him, for a bid, and we were impressed with him. However, in time, we painfully learned that he is not a DETAIL person. After months of trying to get things done right, we were left with our interior in shambles and our exterior seriously coming apart. His original bid grew to a near double amount, partially due to a major error he made. Jake admitted that he had bid on something he had never done before, and that it was a learning curve for him. The result was a mistake that cost us both substantially, and leaving us overwhelmed with frustration, and dismayed with his work. The job, as he bid it, was to take the exterior fiberglass siding off, replace some rotted framing, and replace the siding. Sounded simple because he assumed the fiberglass would come off and be easy to replace. Not so. He did not realize it was glued on, as is the case with all fiberglass RV siding. This required the purchase of all new aluminum siding, at our added expense and additional shop time for Jake, and for us. When we arrived for the first inspection and to pick up our fifth wheel, I remarked to him that I thought the new siding was installed upside down. His response convinced me that he knew something I did not, so I initially let it go. Later, still not totally convinced, I did some internet research on the installation of aluminum siding and learned that I was right. I called the company, from where I knew he bought it, and, again, was reassured that I was right. When we confronted Jake, he admitted he had installed it incorrectly, and he had to order all new siding, at his expense. This also cost him additional time, while we lost the use of our rig for weeks while other subsequent jobs took precedent over finishing ours. Problems: From the start, we had a large, inoperable window that needed to be installed in a manner that allowed us to slide it open and closed. It took Jake several ins and outs to get it installed properly, eventually including tearing it out a third time, and re-framing the opening. This was another added time loss for him and additional hours that kept our rig in the shop. All of this required the interior removal of the mini blinds and window treatments, more than once, and the final time, window treatments were re-installed upside down, and the mini blinds, backwards! (We assume it was an inexperienced employee who did this, and Jake never checked it.) Because we were on our way out of town to a long-anticipated family gathering, we had to let it go, and fix these things ourselves. Subsequently, while traveling, several mini blinds have fallen off, damaging them permanently, because they were not re-installed correctly. Throughout the job, screws were replaced indiscriminately, or not at all. All of the interior finish work was horrible. Additionally, the exterior caulking was unbelievably sloppy, and trim seams and joints were cut to fit poorly, with gaps, and look unsightly. The screen door has never fit since then, and a latch simply disappeared in the process. In the end, while the second new siding was installed right side up, it was not installed well and horizontal seams started coming apart almost immediately, and have continued to do so, as we have travelled. I simply cannot go into all the finish work problems; it was just terrible. Virtually all of this can be attributed to lack of attention to detail and a work ethic that is governed by rush, rush, rush, understandably because Jake's main concern is to get it done quickly. In this case, it cost him substantially and it cost us dearly, both financially, (to the tune of $8K over his bid,) and emotionally. This whole process took place over five months, as our rig was in and out of Jake's shop. In the end, we asked for a $5K refund and settled for $2,000, rather than taking him to court. It is certainly not our intent to hurt Jake, but after many months of enduring the consequences of our having hired him for our particular job, we hope to keep someone else from having a similar experience.
