These guys are the absolute best…read more We had an older 40' class A (I quickly learned that A stands for aggravation) coach and after spending $$$$$ at a large well known dealership/repair center things still weren't working properly. Repairs we paid for were shoddily done or not done at all It was a happy day when we stumbled onto R&L. Adam in the service department is AMAZING, honest, more than fair, doesn't take shortcuts, does great work and tells it like it is. The thing I really appreciated is he didn't bad mouth the other shop's work and lack thereof, he just explained how and why he would fix what was going on. In a short period of time he had everything safe and working as it should. . When we made the decision to go with a vintage travel trailer we sold the coach knowing that it was safe and in good working order. So now we're back for round two with a vintage travel trailer. I'm thrilled with the suggestions made and the work being done. I highly recommend R&L RV's.

We were looking for a nice rv to live in for the next 6mo while our house is being built(yay…read moreright?) so we had a smaller budget but needed something spacious enough for two adults and two dogs. We searched high and low online and decided to go to a dealer. So we stumbled upon R and L rv, and Craig showed us at least 8 rv's that were within our price range and we found the one! Upon buying it they did a lengthy inspection of it, fix the minor things, cleaned it fabulously! Would have earned 5 stars but after leaving their place we noticed one of the taillights is out...

ZERO STARS! AS IS should be changed to IS NOT, or WE WON'T. If you read the review left by Kasey K,…read more5 years ago, I am the single mother she referred to. The ministry she spoke about blessed me so much by even wanting to provide me with a better RV to live in. HOWEVER -- The problems with this trailer have yet to cease, ranging from aesthetics, (small stuff that's easily fixed if they weren't maddeningly abundant), to HUGE, potentially dangerous issues, such as the electrical system (wiring, breakers, etc), the propane furnace motor that was already on its last legs when I moved in, & the propane regulator, which I have already replaced, for obvious safety reasons. Like any sketchy used car company, AS IS made sure that everything worked "just enough" to sell the RV to an honest, unsuspecting ministry & this single mother with a very limited income (otherwise I wouldn't live in a 5th wheel RV), but once I got settled in, things began to go wrong, & have not stopped. I have already put so much money into this trailer that I'd most likely have been better off buying a brand-new, never occupied RV, from SOMEWHERE ELSE, which is what I would recommend to anyone thinking about doing business with these people. They refuse to be held accountable for their dishonesty, referring only to their name, "AS IS RV" when presented with any of the problems that they had to have known about, before and upon selling this trailer. Regardless of your name, any business that sells dwellings of ANY kind, should understand -- YOU have a responsibility to your customers, especially regarding their safety, but to also have at least SOME level of basic human decency, to either disclose ALL issues before selling someone a potential HOME, so your customer can at least fix said issues, or to at least fix the potentially dangerous problems yourselves (since you have the resources to do so, whereas a single mother does NOT) so that your customer does not have to, because they SHOULD NOT HAVE TO. While I understand that an RV is not necessarily intended to be a permanent dwelling, some of us don't have the resources for anything more permanent at present, & with the money I've shelled out on repairs to this place, at this rate, I may NEVER have. Again, regardless of your company's name, there are vital qualities that any & EVERY business should have: honesty, basic human decency, compassion, respect, and perhaps most important, INTEGRITY, which means doing the RIGHT thing, every time, to every customer, even, or especially, when no one is looking. Unfortunately, AS IS possesses, instead, deception, dishonesty, ethical indecency & cold, cruel indifference. Ultimately, when "making the sale" & "just getting the RV off of the lot" is your mission statement, rather than these crucial qualities, someone needs to be held accountable. Sadly, the "Lemon Laws" don't apply to these people, so they are not. If you are looking for an RV, for ANY reason, go to Bobby Combs, or ANYWHERE else.

On behalf of a local ministry we went to Blue Dog RV/As Is RV in Hayden off Hwy 95 to look to…read morepurchase an RV suitable for winter for a single mother living in the Coeur d'Alene area. We let them know the situation and the fact that this would be her home and not used for recreation. Before we purchased the RV we went out and had them show us that everything was working. They didn't show us that the water and sewer were working but assured us that Blue Dog/As Is RV had winterized our RV and that they would also make sure the batteries were fully charged. They told us they had gone through everything when they first purchased the RV and that it was all working. When we arrived to get the RV the batteries were dead. Later after we delivered and set up the RV for the single lady, we found that both handles to the valves that open the sewer lines were broken. Both the black tank and the gray tank were frozen including the main sewer line and had not been winterized. The fresh water line was also not drained and frozen. When we told them the issue they said they had no service person from Blue Dog RV/As IS RV to help us. Prior to the purchase and part of the deal we made, Blue Dog RV also promised they would fix a few minor things such as some molding that was separating from the wall and the shower door that wouldn't close properly, none of it was done. Blue Dog RV/As Is RV also told us they had people who would deliver the RV and when the time came to deliver, the two separate drivers we contacted through them bailed on us last minute. The first day we waited more than half the day and weren't able to schedule with someone else until the next day, where the second driver cancelled just minutes before he was scheduled to arrive. The single mother had all her belongings moved out of her current trailer awaiting the arrival both days in sub-freezing temperatures. We weren't able to get the trailer delivered until the following week and with someone who was not affiliated with Blue Dog RV/As Is RV. We hired a repairman to come out and he was unable to get the sewer line working because the lines were not drained and were frozen. The single mother went without running water for over a week and went without a place to go to the bathroom for 2 weeks. When we talked to the owner of Blue Dog RV/As Is RV, Bill, all he would say is "We are paying for nothing." and "What is our name?" When we replied Blue Dog RV he said "No. As Is RV". If you look at their online information it's the same building, lot, and SAME EXACT address etc. See screen shot. This is where we conducted our business. We reminded him that he said he would fix the things, as promised, he kept saying "Our name is As Is RV!" He eventually said that they didn't have a dump station at their location, but has a service come do it and probably had a receipt somewhere. When I asked to get a copy of the receipt or know who did the service he said he didn't have time for that. We will never purchase anything from Blue Dog RV/As Is RV again as we were continually lied to. It's shocking to know that a business would lie to a ministry and knowingly put a single mother in a position like this.

There were several issues found when we did our walk through. The tabletop was not correct so you could not convert the table into a bed. One of the cabinet doors had been severely damaged that they claimed had already been ordered and would be shipped to us once received. The shower had a leak that they supposedly fixed. We got the tabletop in a somewhat reasonable time the shower leak I had to repair once we found they had failed to do so. The cabinet door never arrived. Talked to John the salesman several times about the cabinet door we were told it could take some time to get it. A year later no door. John has since retired. I tried calling to talk to someone yesterday no call back. We have had worse experiences with other dealers this is why they are getting three stars instead of a one star. I know the dealer did not create the problems, but they failed to deliver on the repairs as promised.

Looked at the RV models over and over. Chris was patient, and answered all our questions. We negotiated a great price. Their team had to fix a few things prior to us driving off the lot. Did that. Gave us a solid trade in value on our older RV. First time buying. Hoping all goes well this first year. Will check out how they handle service calls. Keep you posted.

The RV itself is great, which is why I gave this three stars instead of one. That is where it ends. The service details and inspection department is terrible. They keep it for an entire week after you purchase your RV, so the service department can go through it, inspect and adjust or fix anything the needs repairing, right? Well, I don't know what they did during that week, but the septic tank came to us plugged. Their suggestion was to use the tablets, which did work eventually, but had they done the check system in the first place, we wouldn't have had to deal with it. The pipes under the sink have been leaking since we brought it home. They are now fixed (by us), but again had they done the check system in the first place, we wouldn't have had to deal with it. The shower was leaking under the sink in the close out area. It's fixed now by us but, had they done the check system in the first place, we wouldn't have had to deal with it. This RV was not even two years old when we bought it and there were just too many issues that should have been caught and repaired by the service department during the week they kept it for "inspection." IF you purchase from this Blue Dog location, possibly bring someone along who knows the ins and outs of RVs to check over their work. Don't just trust that they are doing their job with the inspection/repairs. Finally, we paid cash for this, which they weren't thrilled about. Then their sales department tried pressure and push us to buy the three year warranty. Now I see why. We didn't purchase the warranty and we are glad we didn't. Their RVs can be good, the service department, not so much!
