Zero stars if I could…read more On Saturday, we brought a federal government fleet vehicle to this Jiffy Lube location on York Road for a routine oil change. The service receipt listed Kai and Darryl B as the technicians. Monday morning, while turning onto FDA Boulevard en route to Silver Spring ( nearly an hour away), the vehicle experienced a critical failure. Multiple warning lights illuminated simultaneously, and the engine began to smoke. Upon inspection, the vehicle was found to be completely out of oil. This created an immediate safety hazard and left us stranded roadside. We were forced to coordinate alternate transportation via another fleet vehicle to reach our destination, and ultimately had to obtain a loaner vehicle due to the condition of the van. This incident reflects a serious failure in basic service execution and raises significant concerns regarding whether the oil change was properly completed at all. The level of negligence involved placed occupants at risk and could have resulted in severe engine damage. This experience demonstrates a complete lack of quality control and regard for customer safety. I strongly caution others against trusting this location with their vehicle. This matter is being documented and may be escalated further due to the potential liability and safety implications involved.

This is what I get when I bring my vehicles to Jiffy Lube for oil changes. Jiffy Lube doesn't require an appointment. A lot of the time I base my visits on driving by and seeing there isn't a line. Usually I am in and out in less than 30 minutes. Jiffy Lube changes my oil, lets me know what else they may have noticed during the change but don't really try to sell me things I wasn't planning on when I came in. This is a far cry from other quick oil change places I've visited in the past. Price wise, Jiffy Lube seems comparable to other businesses in the area that specialize in fast oil changes. I will continue to visit this place for my oil change needs until they give me a reason not to.

They don't press you into buying anything and they…read morereally listen to what is wrong with your car- wheels, tires, breaks , etc. and they will look at your car and tires, breaks etc and sometimes you know that you need new tires but 2 are more worn down and they don't insist on you buying more tires than you need. They will mention sales going on but I have used them for several cars and have left satisfied every time. Today we weren't sure if 2 tires has leaks and if one wheel an the interior part was rubbing the tire or had a nick that was creating a little leak in tires that had been on that wheel so before ordering tires in my size ( the treads are in good condition) they thought that they may need to patch to tires to the rims but after a thorough dunk test- looking for holes and really looking at the 2 tires and the wheel and inside the area around the tire and the breaks and break fluid they said that it was unusual for tires to need air often but they were fine and in about 7500 miles or before keep an eye on the treads and to return if the one tire loses air more often and the bill was low and fair. I have always been treated with respect and appreciate their feedback and they are understanding if you can replace one or two tires and need to wait a few weeks to change the other 2. They actually sold me 4 once but I got an emergency call so they finished putting 2 on and held the other 2 until I could come back a few days later. Everyone who works there is knowledgeable and does good work and they won't sell you what you don't need unless you want it. The manager is great as is the assistant manager. Highly recommend!

We had a pleasant chat and I got recommended to a lovely Filipino bakery up near White Marsh. I got great advice to get wheel locks and possibly license plate locks if I were to live in the city. Now I'm back to get my tires rotated, and brought wheel locks with me, which they are able to install for me during the process. The service has always been pleasant, there's a solid waiting room near the back with free WiFi and a selection of self-brew caffeinated and decaf teas and coffees. I'll continue to come here for all my tire servicing needs.

So why today was I met by two new faces at the service desk with such a strikingly different attitude? I was surprised to hear oil changes require advance appointments, and you now prefer online. I mean, sure, I can do that. But when did that change? And why was a technician I've never seen before so condescending about it? He was downright hostile. Then the other guy chimed in and accused me of interrupting him. Honestly, gentlemen, I asked myself, "Is it worth it to schedule an appointment with you, if I know it's going to be you calling me to tell me any additional work that may need to be done? Do I trust the two of you?" The answer in that split-second moment was no. The arrogance, sarcasm, and belittling behavior by this pair made me realize I wouldn't trust these two to be the communicators of my mechanic shop. When I asked where the two old guys went, Kyle said with a smirk, "They went where all old guys go." Um, did they die? No, they retired, thankfully. Old guys from the desk, you are missed by your customers! Maybe it's the same great mechanics working behind closed bay doors at Hollenshade's, I don't know. Two guys I've never seen before told me things about how the business works that I've never heard before and treated me in a way no one at Hollenshades ever treated me before.
