During routine visits for my mother's car, I noticed significant upselling and costs that seemed far higher than expected. For example, she paid around $120 for a cabin filter replacement that I later learned is often closer to $30 for her type of vehicle. That was the moment I realized I no longer felt comfortable trusting their recommendations, and I decided I would not bring her car back. I briefly considered giving them another chance with my own car, hoping the earlier experience had been a one-off. When I called about a simple headlight replacement (after already researching the exact part and repair) I was told they had to see the vehicle in person and was quoted an extremely wide range of $80 to nearly $500.
