Tonight, my friend hosted her 40th birthday dinner here, in the restaurant's private room, for about 30 guests and everything was exceptional. The room and setup was amazing. The food was amazing. And the staff was amazing! For dinner there were a choice of steak and seafood entrees, while appetizers and dinner sides were served family style. For apps there were Shrimp Cocktail and Stuffed Mushrooms and for sides: Mashed potatoes, a creamed spinach, and asparagus. All generous servings. I went with the Sea Bass for dinner and it was amazing. Also, the location of this place is so beautiful, especially mid snowfall. Can't wait to go back! FYI: Valet is $10 out front, but totally worth it.

VEAL OSSO BUCO RAVIOLI, SIZZLING CRAB CAKES, NEW YORK STRIP*

Great location for a restaurant. Right by the Hudson River Boulevard where you can sneak breathtaking views of the New York skyline. The ambience of the restaurant itself is very NoLa and the white tablecloths add to the upscale appeal. For food, we ordered the following: Crab Cakes (5/5) Osso Bucco Ravioli (4/5) New York Strip (5/5) Had a great meal and the service did not disappoint. Pretty above-average for a chain restaurant!

Went with a big group for a Birthday and everything was exceptional! Great staff! Had the stuffed chicken with the dessert and Caesar salad. Great deal for $60!

The food was great. I went on a Monday night so it was pretty empty. My food came fast as there was not many people. My waiter was extremely nice and made sure to check in on me and my guest the entire time. I took advantage of their Steak and Lobster deal for $79.99. The sides were large and shareable. Overall it was great food and ambience!

STUFFED CHICKEN BREAST

Went to this location yesterday with my bf and his family. His steak came out overdone, their apology was that they "cut it in the kitchen and it was a perfect medium." So he swapped his steak for the stuffed chicken which came out raw. At this point everyone else finished their entrees so we decided to leave without him eating. The manager came over to apologize and said it's unusual or rare for this to happen because they just pop the chicken in, press a button and it's done in 20 mins. Should've just stuck to an apology instead of adding on a poor explanation. I got the burger which at first the waitress said they would only serve at the bar. The burger was cooked to my desired temp but it was unseasoned. Much to improve at this location. One positive, great views as it's on the water. But no one should be serving raw chicken in this day and age. I could understand an undercooked steak because that can always be brought up to the desired temp; but an overcooked steak and raw chicken all for the same customer, topped with a poor apology is unacceptable. We will not be dining at this location again.

Doing some local globetrotting so we jumped into the iron house and pulled up to Ruth Chris to get us some cattle...Tomahawk that is!!! The meal was fit for a king and his queen. The food was absolutely outstanding and our service provider made sure everything was provided with class. We had six in our group so we enjoyed the ambience with light chatter. One can always tell when there is good food on the table because silence ensued. Plenty of free parking.

Again a home run. Celebrated my nephews birthday here. Staff was amazing and food was as always a treat. Such quiet place to talk and enjoy people.

Although Ruth Chris is sometimes inconsistent with their food, we went over 4th of July weekend & food was great. I enjoyed the meal thoroughly! My only gripe with Ruth Chris is they could be a little more inventive with their drink menu and be more prone to try some new things. All in all, the food was good and we were happy with that.

HAPPY HOUR REVIEW Much better this visit. A group of friends decided to meet up here for happy hour. We ordered the following ... SPICY SHRIMP -succulent fried shrimp in spicy cream sauce ARTISAN CHICKEN SANDWICH - cilantro-marinated, brie cheese, mango chutney RUTH'S CHEESEBURGER- prime beef, choice of cheese, fries STEAK SANDWICH- sliced filet, béarnaise sauce, garlic bread, fries I felt that this experience was better than last visit and the food was much better as well.

Steak and shrimp

In the mood for good steak, and a pricey and pampered experience? Then come to Ruth's. They have a prixe fixe menu with a salad/lobster bisque, either steak/shrimp ($64) or steak/lobster (around $74) plus garlic whipped potatoes or creamed spinach and a dessert which was cheesecake. You can upgrade your steak for $$. Or you can order separate dishes like steak, lambchops, seafood, pasta. They had one vegetarian/vegan dish which sounded like broccoli steak. The sea bass on a bed of spinach was pretty good ($50) and a side of cremini mushrooms ($16). I don't think the sides are enough for family style unless everyone is only going to try a little. I don't generally love expensive restaurants because it feels overindulgent but for special occasions it's ok. The best thing about the experience was the server who was warm, attentive, and had a great disposition. There's not really much street parking. Further by the dog park there's 2 hr parking. Or they have $10 valet and a parking lot that you may have to pay to use. There's a bit of a view of the river in some seating area but not as nice as the Chart House.

You can't go wrong with this restaurant! My friend and I had ribeye and salmon. It was phenomenal! The ribeye was cooked to perfection. The cocktails are always on point!

Bar review (Not the sit down steakhouse area). HH ends at 6. Much better pricing during HH. Having said that, the food and drinks are great. Service is great. Atmosphere is great. Plenty of TVs for any popular game going on. So, during HH I'd give 5 stars. Outside of that - 4. Cans of IPA $13. Youch. Unfortunately no draft beer - if that's your thing (it's mine). So $13 for a can is crazy. Calamari was delicious. Outside of HH it's $23 at this time. For an app - that's beyond the value of that dish. But during HH it's less. They do a great job and I appreciate it. Great staff. I'll come back during HH next time and bump it up to 5 stars.

5 STARS!!! 11/25/21: We came to Ruth Chris for Thanksgiving. Everything was PERFECTION- Customer Service, Drinks, Food, Comfortable Seating and COVID Guidelines. All the servers were friendly and attentive. We never felt rushed at any point. The room temperature was a little chilly. They graciously turn down the temperature. Drinks- Pomegranate Martini and Lemon Drop Cocktails Food- My friend had the Thanksgiving special. I had ordered a 6 oz Filet Mignon and Lobster Tail. Desserts-Expresso and Berries Anglaise (extra) and *Pumpkin Mousse (*Came with the Thanksgiving Special). All the servers wore masks. Sanitizing stations were all around the restaurant. A large parking lot is adjacent to the restaurant. 5 Stars all the way!!!!!!

City Winery is a great venue that showcases great talent with great staff, however, there are a few tips & tricks you must be prepared for to fully enjoy your experience. 1. Come early. Seating is somewhat first come, first serve. My most recent experience was at the sold out show for Teedra Moses. My tickets were purchased off a waitlist, therefore my original seat was at a high top located against the wall, with another couple. It was not comfortable at all. I politely asked our server for another seating option which she hesitantly obliged given our early arrival. I also purchased a bottle of wine, which our server was not aware of. Being early allowed us to place our order and hash this out without disruption to the show. 2. You will be sat with another party unless you come with a party of 4 or more. 3. I typically dine elsewhere prior to or after the show. The menu is not heavy, plus it is challenging to enjoy the show while eating. All in City Winery is spectacular for what it is. The main takeaway is to plan ahead.

The entire store and bar is very aesthetically pleasing to the eyes. There's 3 floors, the bottom floor which located another bar, the main floor which is street level and has the coffee bar and merch, and the top floor which included the Arriviamo Bar. Our server was very nice but didn't catch his name. We couldn't choose which drinks to get so we settled on the espresso martini flight which includes their espresso martini, double matcha espresso margarita, and ube espresso martini. * Espresso martini: tasted good, foam was perfect sweetness, can barely taste the alcohol * Double matcha margarita: good, matcha foam was good, you can definitely taste the tequila in this but they seem to use good tequila * Ube martini: nice sweet drink, but doesn't taste like ube at all (to be expected, but the ube cold foam on their regular coffee drinks has more of a hint of ube than this drink does) * Matcha butterfly pea swirl cake: has a nice dense texture, light taste of matcha, butterfly pea cream also has a thick creamy texture and a very light taste, perfect snack for a drink with a strong taste Overall good experience, would definitely be back to try the other drinks here and downstairs.

However the drinks were made well and tasted great. Loved the ube cloud drink the most. Overall a pleasant experience but nothing that wow'd me. I'd stop by to experience it at least once.

It was a fabulous setup with beautiful strung up lights lining the ceiling. While we waited to be seated we were given glasses of sparkling white wine. Our waiter told us that the space for the JBF LTD was donated by one of the JBF board members. Very cool. Eventually, we were seated at our communal table and were given a green garden gazpacho to start. It had pickled green strawberries which were surprisingly very good. Usually you throw the green strawberries out of the bunch and only eat the red ripe ones. David Kinch opened our eyes to eating this unripened fruit and I will never look at green strawberries the same! The soup was paired with vegetable beignets and a crispy vegetable chip - both were just perfect. Our next course was my girlfriend's favorite - an abalone salad nestled on a bed of romaine lettuce coupled with grilled cucumbers and an avocado-nori sauce. I loved the avocado-nori sauce with the tender abalone. The entree came next and was a succulent porcelet with the best crispy pork skins! It was served communal style which was kind of cool. There were two cuts of meat - belly and tenderloin. My favorite part was the skins. Dessert was a lovely popover with powdered sugar. Sweet, simple, and delicious. We had different wine pairings with each course and were semi-tipsy by then end of the meal. The best treat of the night was when David Kinch and John Paul Carmona came out and greeted the diners. They were both kind enough to sign my copy of the menu also. I'll be on the watch out for next years JBF pop up!

The salad was fresh, flavorful, and not too heavy; we were happy to start with something light before moving to the cheese fondue. The fondue was pure delight. Obviously at one level you can't go wrong melting a bunch of cheese together, but it was truly fantastic, better than other fondues we've had. If I would offer a mild criticism, I think the dippers aside from the bread (cooked cauliflower, cornichons, potatoes) were unexceptional - I would have liked maybe apples, raw cauliflower instead of cooked, and raw carrots or broccoli. But regardless we enjoyed every bite. For dessert we split the chocolate fondue, which was a dream. Here the dippers (bananas, strawberries, Belgian waffle bits) were perfect. I thought the waffles would be so-so but the waffles were flavorful with a perfect crunch to them. Our service was also stellar. At this kind of place one expects very good service, but my wife and I both thought that our waitress went above and beyond. Attentive without being overbearing, helpful with wine recommendations, great with a camera, and pleasant to talk to. I don't care as much about ambiance one way or the other, but it was a lovely setting, appropriate for fine dining.
