Although I'm not sure what they thought of a solo guest at first (I was going to make a reservation but when I went to OpenTable it showed plenty of availability early in the evening for one guest so I thought I'd just show up), I was able to get in and sit in the back room. More guests arrived as I was dining so I didn't feel like a problem child being put in timeout. ;-) The whipped butter with the bread was out of this world! I'm a huge fan of butter. This went above and beyond. I also ordered the tortellini bolognese with meatballs, the Big Boss salad, and ordered a tiramisu to go. The portions are plentiful. I had to get a to go box. And yes, I'm sure I filled up on the bread and butter before the meal came. Everything about the evening was heading toward five stars. Then, at approximately 9:24 p.m., manager Scott Dittmer came in and called last call. On a Sunday. When the posted closing time is 10:00 p.m. There were still plenty of customers in the restaurant enjoying themselves and ordering. By around 9:30, people trying to order additional items were being told they couldn't. Meanwhile, the staff was still working hard taking care of everyone. It was strange watching a genuinely fun atmosphere get intentionally shut down roughly half an hour before closing. Denied My service animal which is against Arizona state laws people with disabilities…read more I am filing a complaint regarding disability discrimination involving my service animal at Fireside Bar in Kingman, Arizona on May 22, 2026. I attempted to enter/use the business with my trained service dog, and staff denied access and/or asked me to leave. My service animal is trained to perform tasks related to my disability and is protected under the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). The staff either refused entry, demanded improper documentation, or otherwise denied access despite federal and Arizona law protecting service animal access in public accommodations. My service animal was under control and not causing any disturbance or safety issue at the time of the incident. I am requesting that this incident be investigated and that appropriate action be taken to ensure compliance with disability access laws.
