Secondly, I stopped here on a whim on my way back from NASCAR in Vegas to my place in Havasu City. I did not plan on arriving during an awesome sunset. The waitress was so cheery and accommodating to seat me closest to the window facing west. I appreciate her opening the blinds too. Even the cook staff, wait staff and visitors were stunned as much as me over the gorgeous sunset. YOLO, now for the food and service. As mentioned before, the waitress seemed genuinely excited to be helpful. She could not have done anything better. I splurged a bit more than usual on myself and went with the dinner Basil Chimichurri NY Sirloin Strip. So glad I did!!!! So glad to custom my order with the waitresses input. The side salad was very good. Then the sauteed asparagus was delightful. Instead of ordering the curious Cactus Blossom as an appetizer, I took her advice and ordered a smaller portion as one of my sides. The steak arrived just as I ordered it. Perfection and delicious. I didn't mind trimming the fat as it was necessary for flavor during the cooking. Too bad the small hill of trimmed fat equaled 1/4 of the whole steak. The second most priciest meal on the menu but that's okay, YOLO.

I have not had bacon-wrapped asparagus before, but they were delicious! My old fashioned with Knob Creek bourbon was outstanding and strong. Along with a nice dessert my total bill came to about $50 with tip. I went back the next day and got the shrimp pasta in vodka sauce and it was quite good...mild but fresh-tasting. I also ordered a pizza to go, and it wasn't very good. Lacked flavor and seemed "flat" for what is usually a tasty item. I don't think pizza is their thing. Safety tip: If you are coming from Kingman, the U-turn needed to get in there along Hwy 93 is a doozie...so be careful.

Well we did that and went to the Grand Canyon. We then get texted that the dog is loud and that someone even called the cops. They even kicked us out. And then try to add charges on top of charges. Like if the manager Veronica went on a personal hiatus. Well, this is a very first. We asked a few neighbors about the dog, and they said that they never heard anything. This Veronica lady needs a husband and kids. And fun. Someone take her out please. For the sake of all humans and pets. Thank you. The AC unit made some weird sounds but we were tired enough we all fell asleep ok. They offer a complimentary breakfast which makes it super easy and quick with the kids. They had the usual offerings- fruit, yogurt, oatmeal, cereal, juice, coffee, eggs, sausage, croissant breakfast sandwiches, bagels, toast, pastries and waffles. We filled our tummy's and hit the road to our final destination, Las Vegas!

Asking over and over "What service does that dog provide you". She was in tears. He rudely told her to go get on. Then the guy that was supposed to help her get on wouldn't even help or look at us. These folks could use some training in compassion for the elderly. I'll never take her to that station again. I'll drive further and put her on where they may show respect for elders. They made me sick to my stomach how in humane they were.

Plenty of parking out front and on the sides of the hotel, but there are no EV stations. Gym is 24hrs. Pool closes at 23:00 and sadly, there is no hot tub. Check in is early here and starts at 14:00. Never an issue for me as I usually call for late check in. But today was surprisingly early for us at 5-ish. Check out is your typical 11:00. Breakfast is your standard IHG fare. Eggs, sausage, breads and cereals, pancakes, cinnamon rolls, yogurts and fruits. Juices, milk, coffee and tea round out the beverages. Served 6:00-9:30 daily. Room amenities include an older 40-inch TV, microwave, mid-fridge, ironing board, coffee maker (k-cup), and hair dryer. Overall, your standard stay for a Holiday Inn Express & Suites. The burger was massive and having the option to add toppings was a nice bonus. The salad was an enough for two meals for me and I appreciated the side of bread.
