I've been here a few times for breakfast the last several months and each time has been great. The food is tasty and cooked to perfection. The service has been top notch. I can't recommend this place more. I tell people who are looking for a good meal at reasonable prices that this is the place. This place a amazing! Like other airport cafes we have visited it's a great place! We had breakfast on a Wednesday morning it was awesome. My husband had the all meat omelette and I had the navigator scrambled eggs, bacon, hashbrowns, 2 cups of coffee, which are good size. The bill was just over $29. Very nice little diner at the airport in KIngman. Lots of airport nostalgia and old photos with classic doo wop and hits of yesteryear playing in the background. I've been several times now and the food is really good. It's definitely better than the tiny building at the end of the road would lead you to believe. I've had a couple of different burgers and both were absolutely delicious along with some very yummy fries. Ordered a Chef Salad yesterday with Thousand Island dressing. The waitress brings me my salad with two tiny dressings. The waitress brings me the bill and she was gonna charge me for the two dressings that it comes with. I asked her if they charge now for dressings. She told me it's extra dressings that the salad comes with a big dressing. I told her I never ordered extra dressings she brought me two with my salad. I never got a big dressing! The waitress got mad and told me she LL fix it don't worry and walked off mad. The last time we went there she charged us for Ranch dressing that my husband wanted for his onion rings. You have to always ask for refills on your drinks by any waitress walking by not the waitress that's supposed to be taking care of you . Poor service! Never returning!! read more

Went to breakfast here because we like location and have always got good service but today my husband got served burnt bacon and we are not ones to complain but he chipped his tooth on it and management did not do anything about it not even offering to pay for our meal. Nice menu variety. Good service. Incredible ambiance. They are located right at an actual airport and the walls are filled with great historic photos. I was the guest of two lovely ladies. One of them ordered chicken tenders served with French fries. The other lady and I both ordered chicken fried chicken served on a bed of mashed potatoes. Delicious! It was easy to overhear the positive comments coming from other tables too. Everyone seemed very happy. The servers all were upbeat and pleasant. Ours was especially attentive checking back to see if we were enjoying everything and refilling my coffee. As an added bonus, as we were leaving an employee (young Asian male) told us about the airport and how we could go outside and take pictures. He should be the good will ambassador. We have been going here for three years and the last two times we were there we ended up leaving. We arrived at 2 on a Sunday and stood at the door for about ten minutes before anyone acknowledged us and what she said was when she got the floor swept she would seat us. The second time was also again at two and we stood for a couple of minutes then when she seated us as he said they were getting ready to close and there was only one person so would be a bit. On Saturday March 29 we went in with my family for brunch. Food was so so. My husband's specialty burger (their seasonal menu) was awful - dry, bland, ugh. We were still eating when the waitress started clearing our table, brought our bill, and asked if we could leave as she had a large party coming in. Our bill was $61 and my mother left $80 as we didn't have a choice in leaving right then - I was trying to drink my coffee and she took everything. Didn't even offer to go cups. This place has a lot of potential but it was very disappointing. The staff seemed to struggle to keep up with clearing tables and let multiple tables sit with stacks of dishes for the entirety of our meal. I overheard them mention the need for a new manager, ice machine broken and they ran out of onions and peppers. We decided to drive out to the airport Cafe due to their Facebook posts about the food. It was busy but no one else waiting. About 11 am on a Sunday. We waited a few minutes, no one greeted us period. I realized I forgot my glasses, walked out to the car. When I got back, my wife was still waiting. Napa. Finally saw a busy, but he wasn't any help. My guess is the manager wasn't there because I seem to remember it's the same ownership of Dambar and Hualapai lodge. Both of those are very good. Anyway we left. Big disappointed. We have gone a couple times to the Kingman Airport Cafe. The food and service is great and the atmosphere is very nostalgic. My husband has a collection of antique toy planes and know the history of them. He is like a kid in a candy store when he looks around in the cafe and tells me about all the memorabilia they have there. We will definitely be back with our friends and family. This is only a small airport cafe and certainly nothing special to look at. You do have a view of the runway if there happens to be a flight taking off or landing, but other than that it is just about 15 standard tables with the usual chairs and some photos of airplanes. They don't have much here, but what they do have is at least one person who can cook. Many fancier restaurants can't say that. We were there on St. Patrick's Day weekend, so there were some specials along with the everyday hamburgers, sandwiches, and entrees. In fact there were five, and I am sorry we could only try two - the boxty and the rueben fritters. There was also the obligatory corned beef and cabbage and two others I can't recall. See the pictures. Boxty is a traditional Irish dish, here constructed from corned beef atop scrambled eggs on a bed of colcannon (potato latkes here). The fritters had the rueben ingredients in fritter form. Both were great. Go here when they have holiday specials if you can.
