We were in the area, had a pretty big party, and we're looking for something opened a bit later so we decided to try this place. It was my first time trying Rusty's pizza, and was definitely pleasantly surprised. The pizzas were delicious. The staff for all amazing and patient. Our food was ready in a timely manner, and there is plenty of parking available. read more

From the bottom of our hearts, thank you to everyone at the Olive Drive location, especially Allen, Michelle, and Anthony, for giving our Wonder Window summer program an unforgettable experience! Our children had an amazing time making pizzas, learning something new, and simply enjoying being kids. What stood out most wasn't just the fun activity--it was the kindness, patience, and genuine care shown by every member of the staff. From the moment we arrived, we felt welcomed and valued. A special thank-you to Allen, who went above and beyond to make sure our group was comfortable, taken care of, and having a great time. His humility, warmth, and attention to detail truly made us feel like family. For many of our children, opportunities like this are incredibly meaningful. Some do not get the chance to participate in experiences like this very often, and during our summer program we work hard to create special memories for them. Thanks to your team, our students left with full stomachs, big smiles, and memories they'll be talking about for a long time. Thank you for your generosity, outstanding hospitality, and for helping make our children's summer a little more special. We highly recommend this location and can't wait to visit again! Also, I forgot to add the pizza is amazing. Best pizza I've ever had. read more

Service is not bad, food is okay but not the best location. The only reason why it's 2 starts is because the guy working was wearing no gloves while putting the pizza together. That's gross and not okay. read more

We got the pan pizza with pepperoni and sausage. It was so good. The service was good. I can't complain about anything.

Shout out Nicholas, he made my pepperoni pizza so bomb, it made me fall in love with rusty's, Nicholas if ur reading this.. thank you‍

Well....There is a WIDE range of score ratings for this pizza place! It's kinda funny, because I actually would rate it pretty high compared to other pizza companies in the area, which unfortunately on the Dave Portnoy rating scale would probably rate under 5 out of his normal 10... All the restaurant locations are kinda dank and dingy looking on the inside because they haven't been overhauled in a REALLY long time! Still have that 1980's Pizza Hut vibe going on with the crappy old PAC-MAN type games in a dark corner of the restaurant! It definitely needs to be updated if they want to stay competitive. Because of that I haven't actually eaten inside or had a pizza party there in probably a decade plus, hahaha maybe longer than that!!! Super outdated!!! I will say the service is always great and they always get the food out quickly and as ordered. As long as you're taking it home it's pretty good pizza for Bakersfield. I used to really enjoy the roasted garlic topping, but they stopped using that one. There is only one bad thing I could say, besides the old man style decor I've already talked about, which is that their pizza is WAY overpriced! Which is why I didn't give them a higher star rating. I actually worked at Rusty's once upon a time ago and back then, an entire large Rusty's special pizza was less than $3 to make! I'm sure it's gone up since then, but definitely NOT the $30+ they charge per pizza!!! It's sad, but the BEST thing in the restaurant is the potato wedges!!! There isn't a single place I've EVER been to, that makes them better! Those definitely get a 10 out 10 star rating. As far as, just the pizza goes, I'd give it 4 out of 5 stars for taste alone! All the other parts I've mentioned is why they get a 3. Anyway, ending to the story....If you don't mind paying twice or three times the cost of other pizza places, you won't be unhappy with what you ordered! Be sure to get those potato wedges for sure....Good luck guys.... read more

Rusty's is one of my top three joints for pizza. The pizza is delicious, service could be better . Staff is a bit slow and it takes a while to get food . That's why I didn't give it a 5 star. I would recommend and will return. read more

I initially tried to order online, but the website was a bit tricky to navigate since it didn't allow for specific customizations to the items. So, I decided to call in my order instead. The lady who answered was incredibly friendly and attentive. She made sure she got all the details right and assured me my order would be ready for pickup in just 20 minutes. When I arrived, the restaurant had low lights and was quiet and empty, which meant I had the staff's full attention. While I noticed the place could use a bit of tidying up, the focus on my order made up for it. The cook even came out personally to let me know he made my chicken extra crispy--he even wrote it on the bag, which was a nice touch! The order was ready on time and still fresh by the time I got home. Rusty's has never let me down!" This revised version is clear, well-structured, and highlights both the positives and the areas for improvement without sounding overly critical. It should help showcase your detailed feedback, which Yelp values for Elite status! I ordered the chicken in medium sauce (extra crispy) The BBQ chicken pizza And the cheese bread. All of it was *Chef's kiss* amazing! read more

On Tuesday night 9/30/2025 I took my kids for pizza. I waited for over an hour and half to get my order. At the 45 minute mark I asked the staff how much longer my food would be to which I was told it was coming out of the oven. 15 minutes later I asked again and was told my pizza's were ready but it would be 10 more minutes for wedges and wings. Long story short I asked for a refund and no longer wanted the food. I was told by the supervisor that he could not complete a refund I would have to call the call center. I requested to speak with a manager and was then only provide a phone number to request a refund and file a complaint. It has now been 2 days and no refund or response. I think it is ridiculous that there was no customer service and the staff were acting like they didn't even know how to work or provide service. I wasn't the only person that night that waited forever for food and requested a refund that was not provided. This is poor customer service!!!!! read more

I promise you I did not say go easy on the cheese. I never thought I would have to check in the box before I leave a Rusty's but i guess at least at this location I'll have to. Got there at 10:30 pm and got home, opened the box, checked the time and realized I wouldn't have made it back to fix it before they closed at 11. On a positive the young lady at the register was very nice and when I asked her what they put on the fiery devil that is spicy, she couldn't remember the name of the pepper so she went and got the information for me before we left. If the pizza was as good as her customer service then you'd be on to something. read more

Order here if you want to wait an hour for your pizza just for them to tell you that they never got your order with a shrug.

The pizza was, as always, fantastic. Grew up with Rusty's and I'll always love their pizza. Even better than the pizza, though? Alan's customer service. Alan was so kind, helpful and genuinely welcoming. I don't know if I've ever had service as good as this. He took his time with our order and then brought it out making sure we were happy with everything. I watched him interact with others while I waited in line and he went out of his way to make everyone feel welcome. If you're the manager/owner of Rusty's (Rusty himself?!) and you're reading this, Alan needs to be managing and training all staff. He gets it and I will come to this location every time I am in town to chat with him. THANK YOU, ALAN!!! read more

I was hired as a driver at this company and within a few months, I was promoted to general manager. I thought I had hit the jackpot, but soon I realized that this company was a nightmare. They engaged in shady and unethical practices that violated the rights and safety of their employees. Here are some examples: - They kept employees they wanted to fire until the holidays, then let them go the next day without any severance or notice. This was cruel and heartless, especially during thanksgiving. - They broke California labor law 351 by giving some supervisors tips and not others, based on favoritism and discrimination. This created a hostile and unfair work environment, where some supervisors were paid more than others for the same work. - They knowingly had osha/code violation floors that were hazardous and slippery. Several employees had slipped and fallen, injuring themselves. The company did not care to fix the problem or provide any compensation or medical care for the injured workers. when I mentioned my frustrations and put a two week notice in they decided not to honor it and ended my employment the day I submitted a two week. I was disgusted and appalled by these practices, and I decided to quit. I do not recommend working for this company, unless you want to be exploited, mistreated, and endangered. This company deserves zero stars and a lawsuit. read more

Careful if you have someone in your household who is at risk or vulnerable to covid (elders, etc). The image is a sign posted in the restaurant. If they encourage people to not wear masks, there is no guarantee as to what they require of employees making food. I recognize mask wearing is a choice - and that restaurant owners can choose what they want to do. As someone who lives with elders, this guarantees that we will not patronize your business. read more

Was in town for the night and was in the mood for pizza. Found Rusty's Pizza Parlor conveniently close to the hotel. Upon entering the restaurant, I noted that the place is relatively calm and the staff polite and friendly. While waiting, I could tell that the staff did not play music at unbelievably loud volumes. The pizza was good but someone there was kind of mean. Sheesh folks. Relax. I probably won't go back to this particular location.

Pizza arrived late, and it was cold. Rusty's has gone downhill really fast. I used to like their pizza, but now it's garbage. They charge me seven dollars to deliver it for miles away, I asked the driver how much of that he got, and he said nothing. I tipped him two dollars. But you did not have a tipped him anything. The pizza was terrible will never order Rusty's Pizza again from this point on it's trash. Driver even told me he would never order Rusty's pizza to be delivered if it was him. read more

Awesome experience. I was in town for the night and found Rusty's via Yelp. Ordered online. I might suggest they allow you to do so as a 'guest.' It took an extra few minutes to register. After doing so, ordering was easy. Pizza was ready when expected. Friendly gal behind the counter. Brought it back to the hotel. Wow! Almost needed a shovel for the mountain of toppings on this pie. Delicious! Will be back next time in Bakersfield. read more

I love Rusty's pizza but for some reason whenever I order from them there is always and I mean always Something missing in my order. The price is already very high and at this point I keep blowing money on missing items. They say to have the manager look at it before it goes out but that doesn't work. I'd love to rate them higher but when my orders are always lacking an item I ordered I can't. Hope this helps get things squared away. read more

I always order from this place, pick up and delivery. Today, I ordered 2 large pizzas. I forgot the coupon and the cashier made me wait while he couldn't figure out how to remove the coupon. He had to call someone over to help him and it still took them a while. At that point, they should've given me the $2 of my order. Then I asked for plates and napkins and I get 4 plates for the 2 large pizzas I ordered... really??? U think just 4 people are eating 2 whole pizzas? We ordered pizza delivered from Rusty's twice during the week that we were staying at a nearby RV Park. We got the Centennial both times and pizzas were both great! They were cooked perfectly and had plenty of meat and cheese. The first time was on the weekend so took longer (60 minutes) than it did during the week (45 minutes), but both were hot when they arrived. Both delivery people were personable, professional and polite. I thought it odd that I had to show my credit card and ID but first driver said that people were stealing pizzas that others had ordered and paid for-how sad is that? So, on the second delivery I was better prepared. We'll order from Rusty's again when we next pass through Bakersfield. read more

We came here because we were invited to a surprise party on the 4th of July for our aunt and it was an early event. Neither of us have ever remember the Rusty's Pizza so we were anticipating the new pizza cuisine. This strip mall has had some bad tenant problems since the Von's recently vacated due to low sales and they packed up and closed. So when you pull into the parking lot it looks a little dismal. So needless to say easy parking. We entered the restaurant and we were pleasantly surprised how nice it was inside. The inside was a usual pizza parlor decor of booths and tables with a back room for a private party for a large group which is where our party was. The place is very clean. Our birthday girl was surprised!! Now to the pizza.... Our uncle had ordered several different variety of pizzas. I selected combination and pepperoni. The crust was the more of a thinner crust with a decent amount of cheese and fresh ingredients and reasonable amount of toppings. I really liked this pizza!! I am a pizza person and I think I will be ordering from Rusty's Pizza when I order my next pizza. There were some elderly folks in our party that had a heck of a time with the soda machine, it is one of those new digital multi functional 125 flavor soda machines. You have to scroll around to find the soda you want by using a touch screen to find what you want, I think those are amazing, but technology isn't for everyone. Also they had very clean restrooms. Good job on keeping a clean, well organized restaurant that I wouldn't mind having a birthday for my grandkids there. read more
