Henry County hosts many free family-friendly events here and there is occasionally a paid event/experience from an external vendor/organization. Our most recent visit was for the county's Hot Summer Fest 2025 (on July 3rd). It included an are show, a drone show, and fireworks, plus games, bouncy houses and water slides before the shows began. We also really love the county's trick or treat event here. This past October (2024) they were doing paid rides on the track so my husband got to take a few high speed spins around the track with a professional driver. Honestly, the speedway seems the perfect location for large festival type events.

Getting to the speedway is easy. Finding the exact location of the sign-in was like pulling teeth…read more There wasn't a single sign posted anywhere. I almost drove my personal car onto to the racetrack, I was so lost. Everything after that was awesome. The class was excellent and they do place special emphasis on pulling hard on the steering wheel to make sure it is seated. There is a youtube video showing the steering wheel coming off in the driver's hands, causing a crash. Also if you order a video, make sure to tell the person who takes you to your car that you paid for a video. Before you get out of the car, make sure you get your video. Take it to the checkout and have them play it back for you to make sure it works before leaving the track. My video worked but it was only out the front. The video of me driving the car didn't work, which really pissed me off. I wanted to see myself drive and I wanted others to see me driving the car. There was no sound from the spotter either. I would have loved to hear that on the video, along with me hollering how cool it was. I'll go back again. I'll probably budget for another 10 laps or 12-minute driving experience in the near future. It was 38 degrees that morning and windy, however, once you're in the car, all that goes away. I didn't feel anything but the G's.

I purchased a racing experience back in November for my husband at the Atlanta Motor Speedway, The…read moreracing experience was only offered on 3 dates. I chose the 1st date with intention that if weather or something happened that caused that date to cancel I'd still have two more dates to fall back on. In March, my husband and took off from work and we drove the hour to the Atlanta Motor Speedway, the weather was nice. When we got there RW was not open. We called and the woman on the phone said, that they were indeed open so we drove around some more looking for this place that was supposedly open. Couldn't find anyone so we called again and informed the person on the phone that we didn't see anyone and this person told us it was cancelled due to weather, mind you it was sunny, but I understand, and that wasn't the problem. No one informed us, no email or phone call, but they made sure to send me an email asking me to rate my experience on the track (the I clearly wasn't able to do). They tell us that those other 2 options that were originally on the calendar were now cancelled as well leaving us with 0 chances to go to the Atlanta experience till "possibly October" - their words. So I purchased this in Novemeber, can't use it till maybe October and sadly the only new date that might possibly be available is the one date out of 4 available since last year that we will be unable to attend. Mind you, the experience I purchased expires 1 year from purchase date. What did RW say when I practically begged for a refund? "There are many locations across the country you can drive to one of them". Yet I receive weekly emails about experiences being offered but RW is refusing to let us use ours. I've literally never had such rude, uncaring customer service in my life., Both on the phone and through email. Unfortunately I also convinced another person to purchase the same experience I did so now am I burdened with guilt for her loss of money, and left with nothing but a large dent in my bank account for my husband's birthday. Happy 30th birthday dear.

ERMAHGERD. A friend…read moregot an invite to this event and because neither of us will be in the market for a new car, let alone a Jaguar, in the near future, we HAD TO GO. I think they do this yearly, so this could be back next year, and you better try to get yourself an invite. Anyway, I don't think they are really, really trying to sell you on cars at this event, more try to make you realize Jags don't suck that much. Obviously it means nothing to me when you say they have electrical problems because I figured that was a thing of the past thanks to all the Top Gear I watch. However, I was under the impression Jaguars were slow and heavy, not meant for anything fun. I fully admit to laughing at the idea of autocross in any of their cars. And then we arrived. THE SOUNDS. We checked in and were led further back in the tent to a hospitality area. Food, drinks, plush sofas, cars to check out. I talked to someone there who told me I was going to have a blast. First they put us in a smaller room with a model of each car, and the group was split into two. My group went outside where we did a street drive of a XJ. I was driving first with my friend and I gotta admit, I'd never buy one but I was giggling like mad before we even started. Luxurious doesn't even begin to describe how it felt in that car compared to mine. It was a nice drive too, the cars are pretty damn graceful given their size. It wasn't much difference from my car, I was really shocked. We came back and watched a little presentation on the new F-type before being unleashed onto the good stuff. First place I went? Oh yes, I want to try 0 to 60 to 0 in a $130k Jaguar XKR-S with 550 HP. They record you the ENTIRE time and send you the video with the speedometer later on. I got up to 88mph. I STILL CANNOT BELIEVE IT. It was the most exhilarating thing I've ever done and the fastest I've ever accelerated outside of like, an airplane. I have video of it but my nervous blabbering is embarrassing now. Then with this new burst of speed, I had to try out the autocross course. I believe I did this in an XKR, so you know, first autocross attempt in a nearly 6 figure car, sounds great. That was also so much fun, although I did not get it done very quickly which made me sad. But for a first try I was pretty proud of it, and apparently I beat the guy who had just done it with this instructor by over a second. He apparently had been gloating to his buddies about his time according to my friend so even better. Everything else was rather tame in comparison. There was testing of the AWD technology on ice, sand, and other things but that instructor was not so good so I didn't get it working quite right in sand. Then there were just a bunch of the different models to drive around slowly over speed bumps and other things. I could totally see myself in the XKR, not gonna lie. And then, before leaving, they have you fill out a survey about how you liked it and you get a bag of serious swag. So Jaguar, I can't say I'll buy one of your cars any time in the next decade, but I will consider the hell out whatever you have when that time comes. If you have the chance to go to this anywhere, or to another car company's event like this, DEFINITELY go.

Growing up in nearby…read moreNewnan, if we were not in Whitesburg, we were at Senoia watching folks race and just have fun. While I have seen all varieties of races here over the years, my recent trips here have been to watch my nephew race go-carts on the dirt track. The track is well taken care of, as is the surrounding areas including the parking areas and roads in and out. They could do a bit better on the bleachers, those have clearly taken a hit over the years...still cold hard metal, but just less of them it appears. While this is an ole country dirt track, so you can't expect much, my only gripes are actual restrooms and not charging $20/car for events, even the smallest of them. I understand you got to keep the lights on, but yikes was that a bit of sticker shock when we pulled up! Overall, Senoia Raceway is a good spot for what it is used for. When I need to support or cheer the family on, I will be there.

I did not know that the bleachers/stands were all concrete steps. If coming here for an event, I would definitely recommend bringing some sort of comfort (folding lawn chair, blanket, or something else comfortable to sit on). Walking the pits was also pretty cool. It offered a closer, different, and arguably better view of the track on turns one and two than the stands offered. However, be warned and ready to have dirt thrown on you from all the racecars as they turn in front of you.

Which was sad because we were supposed to be there to celebrate my son's 13th birthday. He was excited to try this place out. We drove over an hour to be disappointed. First we walk in an hour after opening on a Sunday, place was empty.......we walk right up to the counter and I tell the girl that I had looked the pricing up online and I knew I wanted to do the 3 race, game card, and k1 membership pass for 3 boys. She gave me a blank stare and then said oh you mean 2 race. Ok. Rude. But ok yeah that. She proceeds to ask the boys had they ever been there before. 1 of my sons friends says yes. So she goes you need to go check him on the computer with a waiver first because he has a membership so you won't pay for that part for him. Here I am thinking oh she is being helpful after being wrong. I smile. We go to computers do the waiver for 1 boy as instructed. We go back to the counter now 2 more groups have come in. We have to wait behind 1 group now since there is only one cashier/check in person although there were at least 5 other staff in the building including a manager. Anyway after we wait for that group to check in. I step back to the counter and THEN she proceeds to tell me oh you didn't do the waiver for the other two. I'm like you told me to do it only for the one that had been here before. So again we step out of line and go BACK to the computers. At this time I'm starting to get annoyed. By this time more people are coming in, so now my boys will have to wait behind several big groups when we arrived before ALL of these people. When I finally get back to the counter.....all boys are checked in. She got RUDE again. And wanted to loudly explain pricing to me and make sure I knew that the boys only got a $10 game card for what I was about to pay. Like VERY loud. I didn't hear her do this with any of the other groups that checked in before us and I hate to say this.......none of them were my complexion. Never once was I rude or matching her volume or tone. We actually walked in that place happy because we were supposed to be celebrating. Well anyway it didn't stop there. Once we got checked no instructions were given on what to do next outside of the girl at the counter giving me my receipt and their game cards. So my boys walked over to where you line up to go on the track and yet another employee was RUDE to them by telling them to back away from the gate and wait for someone to call them. They are EXCITED to be here Jeesh, so then after she yells at them they come over to me saying they not going to let her ruin the joy. They finally get called to race and all the boys are overwhelmed after the employees stopped the cars several time or slowed their speed down all during the race. Then in between their first and second race we went to their "arcade" which only has 12 games......which none of them are less than 40 credits for 1 game. $10 gets you 200 in credits. While one of the boys was in the process of playing a game they got called back for their 2nd race. It was EVEN worse than the first one. We decided to opt out of trying their food and went somewhere else to grab lunch. 0 stars would not recommend.
