Noel Magic Lights at Atlanta Motor Speedway

The Noel Magic Lights were enjoyable. The course was well organized. The lights and radio station were well synced. The pricing was in line with other holiday lighting drive throughs.

A fun racetrack where memories were made. I got a seat in turn 1. All the wrecking action was in turns 3 and 4. Next time I'll get a spot near turn 4!

Fine speedway! Seating was roomy, and the shelf in front was a convenient, albeit unexpected, bonus. We sat in row 58, which afforded relief from the sun, but best of all, a great view of the track. Food was below average (e.g., undercooked fries, cold popcorn); fans were well behaved. Cheers! RS

0.003 .... The greatest finish ever at Atlanta , in my opinion.

The best finish I have ever watched at Atlanta, the race this year was the best I've seen in 20 years. Keep up the improvements and keep racing coming. Thank you NASCAR !!!!

Disclaimer: attended Autocross event Highly recommended Atlanta motor speedway if you're looking to get into SCCA autocross. Venue is easy to navigate off the highway and finding the location of event (main parking lot) was a breeze. Restrooms Conveniently located just up the hill from the main parking lot. Bring water and TONS of sunscreen. Will be back !

Atlanta Track Club had their annual marathon weekend at the Atlanta Speedway, and we came here as both race participant in the 5k and the 50m kids dash for our 3.5 year old, and I also volunteered for the elite hydration Sunday morning between 4:15am and 10am. It was a big family weekend. The races included the 5k at 5pm on Saturday, the Half Marathon and Marathon on Sunday morning. The kids races were scattered throughout both days and included a kids dash of 50 meters for kids up to 7 years old and then a 1 mile race for kids older then 7. Except for the kids races, the venues started and finished inside the speedway, which was very cool. There was also a virtual race option but those who did race virtually were not eligible me for awards. The start for our 5k was done in 5 minute waves of 20 people on socially distanced dots on the ground. For the marathon and half marathon the waves were 80 people at a time. A DJ at the starting line kept everyone motivated and performed a count down. Thanks to the pandemic waved starts has become a "thing" and as a family has opened up the opportunity for both parents to race individually while the other is watching the kids. This is so much more inclusive. The down side is, at least for the competitors out there, they don't get to run against all the best athletes at once, and do not know how they will fare amongst their competitors until all the waves are done. However, if you put in an honest effort, perhaps it doesn't really matter. A small heat wave had overcome the weekend and all the races were run in conditions much warmer than anticipated. This slowed the field down significantly. I had already run 14 miles in the morning and by the time it was my turn to race I had nearly logged 18 miles on my legs, so my expectations were not high. I still managed a top 10 finish, but was well outside 1 minute of my best. For a 5k 1 minute is a lot! Nicole was happy also to have run twice in the day. Sunday morning very early we were setting up the hydration stations and saw all of the elites who had started at 6:40am. We were supporting 6 elite athletes, among them Kara Roper, Carlos Trujillo, and Clarke Thompson. It was a misty morning and over cast which later broke to clear but muggy conditions. Afterwards, I watched Mayla finish her first registered race which was a lot of fun. It was a fun weekend and look forward to participating again.

I enjoyed the motor sports show! MacLedon and the kraken were our favorite. We really enjoyed the show for my kids party. However the cars all kept messing up the day we were there. The parking after the event was horrible. People were walking through the grass lost looking for their cars. It was literally a cluster flock with no direction. No attendants there in the grass area to usher cars out. It was a mess. Drinks were good, food was good

    From the Champions Suite 124

I have never been to a NASCAR race or any race for that matter prior to my experience at AMS. I wouldn't rely heavily on my review if I were you. I don't even know the proper terminology. My family and I were given free tickets to the Champions suite, so I didn't even really get to see the stands. We came for the Xfinity Series: Rinnai 250. AMS is huge. We arrived an hour or so before the race, so it was already very busy. There was so much going on. There were live music, tons of vendors, some type of motocross show, and more. Parking is free. The lots filled up quick. Our tickets recommended we park on the blue lot, so we did. It's fairly close to the Champions suite. Then, we realized we needed to pick-up our passes from the pick-up office on the other side of the track. Once we got our passes, we parked back at the blue lot then headed to our Champions suite 124. The suite had a fantastic view of the track. There were plenty of seating. There was "bar" area that served beer and wine, and a small buffet table with decent options. We were handed devices to watch and listen to the drivers as well as a headset to plug into it. There were also TVs in the room to watch the race. Our passes included a tour of the pit. We missed the first tour, so we had our own tour of the pit halfway through the race. It was really cool to see all the equipment, garages, tires, etc, not to mention, watch the race from the pit! It was very loud, but they provided us with ear plugs. We had a really neat experience. My 10-year old son enjoyed listening to the drivers and touring the pit and garages. It was worth a visit!

Apparently, camping at the NASCAR race is a thing...

Hmm, this is tricky. Do I review my opinion of NASCAR races or this facility? Maybe a little bit of both. I had never been to a race of any kind, so when I friend called me up with an extra ticket, including some special VIP experiences with wonderkid driver (and Georgia native) Chase Elliott, I was more than game. We took a private limo bus down to Hampton, and this approach is definitely the way to go. While parking is free all the time, we were able to use the bus parking right by the gates and "real" bathrooms, and we also were able to use the bus exit after the race was over, which was key considering the horror stories I've heard of the traffic leaving the facility. Atlanta Motor Speedway is HUGE. The stands hold over 99,000 fans, and the complex spans over 800 acres. Some people even come and camp for the weekend, that is, if they're not so lucky to get to stay in the condos you can buy that are literally right over the race track. While I don't think a living room view of the track is my cup of tea, it was neat to see. There is a free, open air shuttle that connects the different gates and points of interest, but wear comfortable shoes, as you'll be doing a lot of walking. Everything is outside, so in the summer, sunscreen and bug spray are also needed. One nice thing about AMS is that you can bring a small cooler into the stands with whatever non-glass bottled products you like. Yep, no need to pay for overpriced beer or drinks, you can bring it all in for free. Tailgating was also a popular option on the grounds, and we got there about seven hours before the start of the race to take part. With the temperatures in the high 90s, we were grateful for the golf carts selling bags of ice for $5 that frequently made the rounds. For the race, make sure to bring earplugs. You can buy them there too, if you forget. You will have no cell phone service, so a small, battery operated radio that you can plug headphones into is also nice. The seating is general admission within sections, so head inside a little early to get the best seats. You actually want to be a little higher up in the section, so that you can see the full track. Also, if you sit too close to the track, you'll be covered in microscopic little bits of shredded tire, debris, and exhaust fumes. As for NASCAR and the fascination with all things automobile...I highly recommend you read Southern Gothic author Harry Crews' short story "Car." In the novel, a man becomes a small town hero when he sets out to eat a 1971 Ford Maverick from bumper to bumper, excluding the spare tire and jack. Crews is one of the best modern Southern authors around, and his forceful, acerbic take on the car pretty much sums up my thoughts on the NASCAR experience. TLDR, I'm glad I went, and the experience overall was fun, but I won't be in a hurry to return.

Here's the basics: the cars go fast, they turn left (a lot), and people get really excited when an accident occurs. And it holds tens of thousands of people with their eyeballs glued to extremely loud and fast cars. Before I go further, let me point out that I'm not a fan of NASCAR. I grew up twenty minutes from the track at Daytona, and all my early memories of NASCAR involve lots of traffic and my Dad being pissed that his drive to work took ten times longer than normal when a race was in town. I've been to plenty of races, but only when the tickets were given to me. As far as tracks go, AMS is pretty good. It's one of the faster tracks for NASCAR and when the weather cooperates you can get some great races there. Great being a relative term when you're hearing it from me. I haven't been back since the repair job required from a tornado ripping through the grandstands. If you saw the pictures of the damage, it was pretty extensive, but they managed to get everything put back together without significant interruption in race schedules.

I have to start out by saying I am a NASCAR fan and have been for 30+ years. I haven't been to Atlanta Motor Speedway since the backstretch was the front stretch before 1996. While I loved the old grandstand and press box I understand things need to be updated from time to time. I love what they have done to the track. The grandstands are 1000 times nicer. The suite are first class. The traffic pattern in and out is so much better. It was a cold day and attendance was down but that didn't take away from great racing. The racing surface has a lot of character and that keeps the teams on their toes. They can't just set the chassis and leave it. They have to work at it all day to keep their car up front. I was lucky enough to have Club One seats. I can tell you AMS does everything first class. From the minute I stepped into the suite, I was treated very well. The staff took time to answer every question. The food ranged from good to outstanding. Their is plenty to do from pit tours to driver Q & A's If you haven't been to a NASCAR race Atlanta is a great track to see a race.

AMS is the right size of track. Unfortunately my first experience here was not the best due to weather. Rain and freezing temps made it uncomfortable and unenjoyable. NASCAR needs to make this a mid spring race or fall race in the chase again. Track is an awesome sight when the sun sets and the lights come on. Most attending fans are locals and are rude. Hot Chocolate tastes like runny luke warm water while food is your typical events type of solid food. And make sure to bring a cushion or butt pad cause the grandstands will take a brutal toll on your back and tail.

While I have seen all varieties of races here over the years, my recent trips here have been to watch my nephew race go-carts on the dirt track. The track is well taken care of, as is the surrounding areas including the parking areas and roads in and out. They could do a bit better on the bleachers, those have clearly taken a hit over the years...still cold hard metal, but just less of them it appears. While this is an ole country dirt track, so you can't expect much, my only gripes are actual restrooms and not charging $20/car for events, even the smallest of them. I understand you got to keep the lights on, but yikes was that a bit of sticker shock when we pulled up! Overall, Senoia Raceway is a good spot for what it is used for. I did not know that the bleachers/stands were all concrete steps. If coming here for an event, I would definitely recommend bringing some sort of comfort (folding lawn chair, blanket, or something else comfortable to sit on). Walking the pits was also pretty cool. It offered a closer, different, and arguably better view of the track on turns one and two than the stands offered. However, be warned and ready to have dirt thrown on you from all the racecars as they turn in front of you.

I almost drove my personal car onto to the racetrack, I was so lost. Everything after that was awesome. The class was excellent and they do place special emphasis on pulling hard on the steering wheel to make sure it is seated. There is a youtube video showing the steering wheel coming off in the driver's hands, causing a crash. Also if you order a video, make sure to tell the person who takes you to your car that you paid for a video. Before you get out of the car, make sure you get your video. Take it to the checkout and have them play it back for you to make sure it works before leaving the track. My video worked but it was only out the front. The video of me driving the car didn't work, which really pissed me off. I wanted to see myself drive and I wanted others to see me driving the car. There was no sound from the spotter either. I would have loved to hear that on the video, along with me hollering how cool it was. I'll go back again. I'll probably budget for another 10 laps or 12-minute driving experience in the near future. It was 38 degrees that morning and windy, however, once you're in the car, all that goes away. I didn't feel anything but the G's.

I chose the 1st date with intention that if weather or something happened that caused that date to cancel I'd still have two more dates to fall back on. In March, my husband and took off from work and we drove the hour to the Atlanta Motor Speedway, the weather was nice. When we got there RW was not open. We called and the woman on the phone said, that they were indeed open so we drove around some more looking for this place that was supposedly open. Couldn't find anyone so we called again and informed the person on the phone that we didn't see anyone and this person told us it was cancelled due to weather, mind you it was sunny, but I understand, and that wasn't the problem. No one informed us, no email or phone call, but they made sure to send me an email asking me to rate my experience on the track (the I clearly wasn't able to do). They tell us that those other 2 options that were originally on the calendar were now cancelled as well leaving us with 0 chances to go to the Atlanta experience till "possibly October" - their words. So I purchased this in Novemeber, can't use it till maybe October and sadly the only new date that might possibly be available is the one date out of 4 available since last year that we will be unable to attend. Mind you, the experience I purchased expires 1 year from purchase date. What did RW say when I practically begged for a refund? "There are many locations across the country you can drive to one of them". Yet I receive weekly emails about experiences being offered but RW is refusing to let us use ours. I've literally never had such rude, uncaring customer service in my life., Both on the phone and through email. Unfortunately I also convinced another person to purchase the same experience I did so now am I burdened with guilt for her loss of money, and left with nothing but a large dent in my bank account for my husband's birthday. Granted it was noonish when I was there but it was Saturday and the place was a ghost town. The layout is pretty odd as well. There's a secondary overflow parking lot on the midway next to a big stockade looking building and other old timey looking facades but most of it looks like a county fair or a family fun center like Barrymore's back home. I got my wristband to ride as much as I wanted for the day, even knowing I had to make it to Cape Canaveral by the end of the night and couldn't spend anything close to a full day here. I made a beeline for the fabled star attraction, ArieForce One. It looks great and a mere station wait was a welcome sight. The first 90% of ArieForce One completely lived up to the hype with an incredible mix of airtime hills, inversions and overbanked turns coming at a breakneck pace. Nothing was breaking my neck though, or causing the slightest bit of discomfort. Then came the series of bunny hills at the end with their violent ejector air. Absolute killed my thighs whether I was in the front or the rear of the train. Felt like my thighs were getting jackhammered. Now I've ridden several coasters built by Rocky Mountain Construction, the manufacturer of ArieForce One. Iron Gwazi, Steel Vengeance, Twisted Cyclone and Goliath in addition to the one I'm talking about. All had the lapbars with the shin guards that let you go upside down without over the shoulder restraints. I've never had an issue with these RMC restraints on any of their other coasters that I've ridden. I thought I'd ride ArieForce One a dozen times or so. After one ride I went to ride a go kart track. It was okay nothing special. Came back for a second lap on ArieForce One. Once again I needed a break from it after that. I rode the park's other coasters, an unremarkable wild mouse called Hurricane. Hit the bathroom and took pictures of weird murals on the walls by video games and the food court. Came back for a third lap on ArieForce One. Once again it was exhilarating, exhilarating, more exhilarating then excruciating. I know a lot of coaster freaks are over the moon about ArieForce One - about the only other people riding it were maniacal masochists who were walking roller coaster encyclopedias. And I wouldn't mind working my way up to being a walking roller coaster encyclopedia but to be that I need to be able to walk. Love everything about ArieForce One until those bruising bunny hills at the finale. To me that ride is unmarathonable. Fortunately I did need to make good time on the road and I had lots of other fun things planned on this trip and I knew I would be spending a pretty penny so I didn't much mind the cash I sunk into that wristband. This Fun Spot is just so odd and its marquee attraction has a fatal flaw but I'll still give the place three stars. Here's to knowing when to say when.

He didn't just coach the drive, he coached the entire experience. What I loved most was how Charles walked us through the full history of Porsche and then guided us through the museum with so much detail and passion. Every story, every design choice, every evolution of the brand was explained in a way that made you appreciate Porsche on a deeper level. You could feel how much pride and love he has for the brand, and it was contagious. This was more than a driving experience. It was education, history, adrenaline, and luxury all wrapped into one. If you're considering visiting Porsche Experience Center Atlanta, do it and ask for Charles if you can. Truly top tier from start to finish.

This is a review specifically for the 365 restaurant. The food was incredible and very…read morewell-prepared. Our server was attentive and so kind. There was a minimum we had to hit given our other activities for the day and because everything was on the expensive side, it was relatively easy to achieve. The drinks were good and the attention to detail was pretty strong too. Even the butter for the bread was shaped like Porsche cars! Dining room felt like a power lunch spot. Lots of people there driving the cars and doing corporate events. One major star off because they gave us the receipt as a total and not itemized. This was sketchy because there was a tip and service charge line. Had I not asked for an itemized, we would have double tipped.

If I could give this place zero stars.....it was just a lackluster experience from the moment we…read morewalked in to the time we left. Which was sad because we were supposed to be there to celebrate my son's 13th birthday. He was excited to try this place out. We drove over an hour to be disappointed. First we walk in an hour after opening on a Sunday, place was empty.......we walk right up to the counter and I tell the girl that I had looked the pricing up online and I knew I wanted to do the 3 race, game card, and k1 membership pass for 3 boys. She gave me a blank stare and then said oh you mean 2 race. Ok. Rude. But ok yeah that. She proceeds to ask the boys had they ever been there before. 1 of my sons friends says yes. So she goes you need to go check him on the computer with a waiver first because he has a membership so you won't pay for that part for him. Here I am thinking oh she is being helpful after being wrong. I smile. We go to computers do the waiver for 1 boy as instructed. We go back to the counter now 2 more groups have come in. We have to wait behind 1 group now since there is only one cashier/check in person although there were at least 5 other staff in the building including a manager. Anyway after we wait for that group to check in. I step back to the counter and THEN she proceeds to tell me oh you didn't do the waiver for the other two. I'm like you told me to do it only for the one that had been here before. So again we step out of line and go BACK to the computers. At this time I'm starting to get annoyed. By this time more people are coming in, so now my boys will have to wait behind several big groups when we arrived before ALL of these people. When I finally get back to the counter.....all boys are checked in. She got RUDE again. And wanted to loudly explain pricing to me and make sure I knew that the boys only got a $10 game card for what I was about to pay. Like VERY loud. I didn't hear her do this with any of the other groups that checked in before us and I hate to say this.......none of them were my complexion. Never once was I rude or matching her volume or tone. We actually walked in that place happy because we were supposed to be celebrating. Well anyway it didn't stop there. Once we got checked no instructions were given on what to do next outside of the girl at the counter giving me my receipt and their game cards. So my boys walked over to where you line up to go on the track and yet another employee was RUDE to them by telling them to back away from the gate and wait for someone to call them. They are EXCITED to be here Jeesh, so then after she yells at them they come over to me saying they not going to let her ruin the joy. They finally get called to race and all the boys are overwhelmed after the employees stopped the cars several time or slowed their speed down all during the race. Then in between their first and second race we went to their "arcade" which only has 12 games......which none of them are less than 40 credits for 1 game. $10 gets you 200 in credits. While one of the boys was in the process of playing a game they got called back for their 2nd race. It was EVEN worse than the first one. We decided to opt out of trying their food and went somewhere else to grab lunch. 0 stars would not recommend.
