My husband. I was on Snickers and he was on Duelly, if that's how you spell it. Very open trail.

I booked a horseback-riding session with SSR a few weekends ago for my husband and I as a birthday gift to him. He had never ridden a horse. I love horseback riding and was really hoping for a good experience because one review said their trails are more open than others' and there are a couple of chances for trotting on the trails, which I've never experienced usually due to being with large groups and on more narrow trails. Anyway, my hopes were worth it because we had so much fun! It was great to be on more open trails and be able to trot, although the trots were definitely fast (but just how I like it haha). The appointment starts at an hour. You learn your horse and procedure for about 10 minutes, then ride the trail for about 50. The owners, Krystal and her husband, are humorous and have friendly personalities. You can see the love and care they out into their horses, even all their rescues. Ours were also very easy to ride, and we felt very safe and comfortable. It's really great to have a place like this in a local area like Locust Grove. Overall a great experience. We definitely will recommend to friends and locals. Thanks, y'all!

I love riding and always looking for somewhere to ride! I found South Side Riders on Groupon and since the trail at Boundary Waters in Douglasville is close to me I decided to purchase the Groupon. I actually rode with the owner, Krystal, and she was great! Since it was just the two of us I got to ride at my own pace. I like the trail and was familiar with it since I've hiked there before. It's open enough to do a lot of trotting (which I love) and a lot of the trail is covered with trees so it's not too hot but you still get that nice breeze! It was the perfect day to ride! I've been riding before where it was boring and didn't really allow you to ride your horse but this was perfect, both exciting and relaxing! The horses are absolutely beautiful! Krystal told me that they're rescued horses (she owns 7 horses and a pony) but you would never know because she takes great care of them! They're very gentle and by the end of the ride I really got to connect with the horse! I believe my horse's name was Dooley and he was HUGE but a gentle giant! I would love to do a membership with South Side Riders so I could ride as much as I could! Will definitely be returning! Thanks Krystal!

Great time my son rode Snickers who was wonderful they clearly enjoyed each other so happy we went!

Emma was our guide and was very friendly taking us on the tour and getting to know us, any questions we had she answered without a problem and made sure we were comfortable throughout the entire ride. The scenery throughout was beautiful and so peaceful. I love being in nature so it was perfect. I will definitely be back for a ride here again.

Very unsafe! We should've gone with our gut and canceled…read morethe ride when one of the horses started to become unruly while we were mounting. We were a party of four. When we mounted the horses, my son's horse, by the name of 'Three,' tried to bite my daughter's leg who was on the horse, 'Bella.' Then 'Three' tried to bite Bella's neck. Our young guide then put a muzzle on all of the horses. We proceeded to the trail - my horse 'Vinny' kept trying to walk off to the side of the trail, in the bushes. I was then told by the guide that Vinny did not like mud and was trying to avoid walking through the mud. For the record, it had just rained that morning. If Vinny did not like mud, why did they allow him to be out on the trail? Needless to say, Vinny was not happy and took off running through the trees, threw me, knocked me unconscious. I was attended to by the ambulance, then emergency room. I have been struggling since, as I recover from a concussion and whiplash (neck and back). Been out of work for almost a month. Not once have I received a correspondence from the Serenbe Inn to see how I was doing, or apologize for the actions of their horse. I also noticed the next day my credit card was charged the full amount. Dangerous - They do not care about the riders. My son mentioned that after the horse threw me and while I was on the ground unconscious, the horse was stomping all around me. As my son was running towards me, from a distance he thought I was being stomped by the horse. Fortunately, not. BE CAREFUL! Serenbe Inn, I was really surprised by the lack of customer service and customer care. No call - No email - No apology - NO CARE!

Every few months I hear about $5 pony rides here and never went.....until this weekend!…read more This 40 acre hideaway is across from the QT on Lawrenceville. Who knew that it was this big?!? They are usually closed to the public except for these events. They had a ton of volunteers wearing matching vests which was really helpful. You parked on a residential street and got to walk through the conservancy and look at horses in the field. Then came the fun part. Kids 4 and up could ride on a pony for $5. They did 2 huge round a outs in the corral. You sign a waiver, learn about the conservancy via a waiver, and wait in line to ride the horse. In the meantime they teamed up with DH high (I think) what was selling chicken biscuits and snacks as well as doing face painting. They had 7 horses in the corral that kids were riding in. We are not talking tiny little things either. They were huge! Afterwards, you got to walk by the area at that the horses stay in and could read about them and see any awards the won. They also had free arts and crafts projects setup like making horse puppets. They offer riding lessons, but I didn't tell my kids because I am nervous that they will want a horse.

They also have a couple tents set up with food and face painting. It was interesting to see the farm and all of the horses on the farm. Fun visit when they have an event open to the public.

Danny, Nick, and Patience were all extremely helpful, patient, and understanding, especially since many of us were first-time ATV riders. Their pleasant attitudes and willingness to assist truly made a positive difference in our experience, and we appreciated their professionalism and kindness. Unfortunately, our interaction with the female owner significantly impacted the overall customer experience. We fully understand that, as a business owner, protecting your equipment and enforcing liability policies is important. However, customers also have the right to ask reasonable questions to protect themselves and fully understand the terms they are agreeing to. During the group discussion about liability, the owner asked if anyone had questions. I respectfully asked whether the business had procedures in place to ensure customers were not being given damaged equipment before rides began. Considering the heavy emphasis placed on customers being financially responsible for damages, I felt this was a fair and reasonable question. Instead of answering professionally, the owner responded dismissively by saying, "This is a business," followed by asking if I was "okay." I calmly responded that I was fine and believed we were simply having a discussion. Unfortunately, from that point forward, the conversation became uncomfortable. My question was never answered, the discussion was abruptly ended, and it felt as though personal feelings were allowed to interfere with professionalism. At no point was I rude, disrespectful, or confrontational. I simply asked a question that was important to me as a paying customer. Customers should never feel uncomfortable for asking reasonable questions regarding liability, especially when those concerns directly affect them financially. Excellent customer service matters just as much as the experience itself. While the staff members mentioned earlier were wonderful, I hope the owner learns that uncomfortable questions are not personal attacks -- they are simply part of doing business and ensuring customers feel informed, respected, and valued.
