    Us ridding the horses!!

Was so fun and everyone was so kind. Ten out of ten. Completely recommend for any special occasion or just some fun!!

We spotted the Scoutmob for the Serenbe Trailriding and thought it would be a perfect thing to do in the fall. We also decided to stay overnight at the Inn, so booked the trail riding online after our fried chicken lunch. It was unseasonably hot that day and I worried I'd burn, but luckily almost all of the ride was in the shade. We were greeted by name upon check-in and got our horse pariings. I was paired up with Maggie, who was a really easy gentle horse. We were quickly on our way! My husband and I brought up the rear along with one other guide, and there was often space between us. At one point, Maggie wanted to chat with a horse on another side of the fence, and before I could pull her back into line, my pants caught on a part of the fence and ripped. Oh well! This is why you wear pants - more on that below... The ride was very serene. Yes, there was some galloping, but for the most part, it was just a lovely tour of the Serenbe property. We saw an extension of Stone Mountain, a beautiful meadow, a small waterfall, a wide creek, and just beautiful woods. Super relaxing and enjoyable. You can tell that these horses are well-cared for and maintained. That also made my heart happy. I'd definitely do the trail riding again when we return to Serenbe. So clothing tips! I strongly recommend wearing jeans and boots. I wore cowboy boots and bootcut jeans. Luckily, my jeans caught on the fence, but if it hadn't been my jeans, it would have been my skin. You may also want to wear something with sleeves as branches will brush up against you, so if your skin is exposed, you could get scratched up. Definitely don't wear flip flops either. Don't bother with a hat - they will take it from you and ask you to wear a helmet instead.

I had such a wonderful experience riding horses at Serenbe Farms. Hayley and Amanda were incredible host and guides. From the moment we arrived our guides were so helpful and welcoming. I highly recommend the ride to the waterfall and the picnic lunch. It was so relaxing to connect with nature and the horses while enjoying the beautiful words of serenbe.

Everyone is so well behaved :0

My mom and I had a lovely first experience at Sernebe Trailriding. I am a horse person so when I went to book a ride I was naturally full of detailed obnoxious questions! :) My mother has always been nervous around horses so guest services had Hailey, the barn manager, personally call me to assure me that everything would be fine. She assigned my mom to her horse Cowboy whom she's owned for 20 years. I work in a barn and care for horses regularly so the first thing I noticed upon arrival was that these horses seemed healthy, happy and well taken care of. Each horse was already tacked up and prepared when we arrived which was a plus because we got going fairly quickly once we arrived. Yes, they do have you sign a waiver. Any barn with an inkling of sense will do this. A helmet is optional so I will remind the average rider that horses are unpredictable animals and even the oldest most bombproof horse can spook or trip at any moment. If you have any doubt in your mind then go ahead and wear a helmet. That being said, trail horses have typically done said trail hundreds of times over and over again with no issue. My mom and I opted out of helmets because if there was ever a situation in which I'd feel comfortable without one, it was at this barn with these horses. We both felt really safe and comfortable the whole time. Our horses, Cowboy and Ranger, were both perfect gentleman and the trails were gorgeous. We mostly went through the woods and some small roads. Hailey looked back several times to check on everyone and make sure everyone was okay. She had her boyfriend riding behind everyone as well so it was nice to have a set of eyes behind the group. Hailey was very knowledgeable about the area and gave everyone a heads up before we went through a meadow or down a big hill. Overall perfect experience! Thanks again Hailey!

Haley was awesome...especially since my hubby was scared upon arrival...lol...and he loved it!

This place is awesome!!!! Haley and Diane were our instructors and they were GREAT! Everyone here is so friendly and nice. We had the best time and I really cannot wait to go back and ride again. I have been telling everyone that they must visit this place. I absolutely cannot wait to return. I rode DaisyMae and Cody.......My husband loved Seminole! You must visit here! You will never forget the experience. Kymberly

So my experience at SOOFA Ranch was generally positive;…read morehowever upon reviewing photos of other riders who attended the ranch, I noticed some differences in their ride compared to ours. While some riders seemed to enjoy an open road and easier navigation, my families ride took place in a wood area. In hindsight, this terrain was not ideal for all participants as it involved constant walking over rocks, branches and muddy trails. Though I paid $85 per person, I'm uncertain if I received the full experience advertised by the ranch, especially when comparing it to what others have shared about their rides. Additionally, we were advised not to b ring our cell phones along to prevent losing them on the trail, resulting in the disappointment of not having any photos of our horseback riding experience. While I personally had a great time, reflecting on the discrepancies between our ride and what seems to be advertised for other guest has left me unsure about recommending this ranch to others. However, its important to note that this review is solely on my own experience and others may have different perspectives. The one photo provided I took prior to us leaving out on the trail I then left my phone to avoid losing as I was directed.

The entire experience was super relaxing and therapeutic. I recommend it to anyone looking for a breath of fresh air! You could tell she knew her stuff but didn't make you feel dumb for asking questions... or for help. It was the perfect start to our stay! We did the crazy squirrel ropes course and it was fun.., my oldest got scared and would not continue and they were awesome at helping her transition off. She walked away still interested in doing ropes in the future. The horseback riding was great too - make sure to opt for the 2 hours, totally worth it. Ok, so the next part is 100% my fault - we over slept and had to cancel our zip lining experience. We were there during spring break and everything was booked so it just wasn't going to happen. So this is my advice - don't overbook yourself! Or don't put the biggest attraction for your group on the day you leave! Food - so, we drove down from East of Atlanta and weren't familiar with the area. There isn't anything close! And what is close is closed on random days! Check the listings. West Georgia campus isn't far away and there are lots of options there. We had a combination of breakfast, lunch and dinner there- the food is great! Breakfast was enough to fill you up for the day and enough options for the whole family. Lunch is HUGE! You can easily split the sandwich or chicken tenders. We had the spring break family dinner and it was great- cheese burgers- but I will try their gourmet dinner next time. The grounds are expansive and beautiful ! So you have lots to do and explore. So make sure to build in some downtime to walk/hike around. One thing I was surprised about is that the cabin on the ridge (not sure about others) had a full size kitchen but no plates, utensils or pans. So pack them if you plan to bring in your own food.

We stayed in a treehouse and completed level 1, 2, and 3 on the zip line. First of all, the treehouse was clean, comfortable, and was surrounded by the most scenic views. Second, the zip line adventure tour had a preliminary detailed demonstration of the equipment and directions going into the activity. Level 1 consisted of shorter zip lines and was more like a tutorial to get used to zip lining & braking. Level 2 & 3 were more intense with much longer and higher courses. The views from level 2 & 3 were unforgettable and we especially loved the racing course with the running finish. Third, the food here was clearly made with love and care. Each breakfast was hearty, warm, and plentiful! Our four course dinner was delicious and we felt very well taken care of throughout each meal. I truly cannot wait to return here for another relaxing, fun, and all-around amazing getaway.

Came across a couple of horseback riding places. That's been on my bucket list but leaped up a few spots after seeing the movie, Nope, lol. The other horse back riding spot was closer to my mama's home and cheaper but South Side Riders is Black-owned and operated so, no contest! I scheduled a ride for me and mama. The day we were scheduled to ride, it rained. We'd gotten a call from SSR to let us know that our ride would be rescheduled because of the inclement weather. Do you know what the lady said? She said, it's raining, it makes the trail slippery, "and the horses don't like it." That's bringing me to tears now as it did then! That told me so much about these beautiful people running this place. They put the horses first!!!!! They put the horses concerns first!!! I fell in LOVE with South Side Riders when she said that! A couple of days later, we'd arrived at SSR for our trail ride. We were greeted by the beautiful couple who runs the place. The vibe was cool, friendly and they put my mom and I, who have no experience riding horses, very much at ease. I saw the horses and got giddy. They're all so beautiful, calm and sweet and you can tell they're well taken care of. The two horses that my mother and I rode seemed to have a bond. It was precious watching them interact. This was my first time on a horse. They provided a step ladder to help me get up. I appreciated that. Before hitting the actual trail, they let us go around in the enclosed area where we mounted the horses. They gave us driving instructions... That's what it felt like, a driving lesson, lol. How to steer right, left, stop, go.... All very necessary and appreciated. They made sure moms and I were comfortable before we got started. The trail ride itself was so lovely. I was nervous but that didn't last long. Before I knew it, I was relaxed and wishing I was rich so I could stay and ride all day. I talk to animals like they're human, so at one point, I'm thanking the horse for taking it easy with me as it's my first time riding. And he neighs. Like, he understood every word I'd said, and he responded. A similar interaction was probably the inspiration for the TV show, Mr. Ed. So now we're having a full-on conversation and...just thinking about it is making my heart smile. Again. When the ride was over, I skipped my giddy, animal loving self over to the petting zoo while moms waited in the car. I didn't wanna leave! The babies are so cute and sweet. The donkeys...what's their I.Q.? I'm asking because they seem quite intelligent. Whenever I visit moms, I will definitely stop by South Side for a trail ride!

Danny, Nick, and Patience were all extremely helpful, patient, and understanding, especially since many of us were first-time ATV riders. Their pleasant attitudes and willingness to assist truly made a positive difference in our experience, and we appreciated their professionalism and kindness. Unfortunately, our interaction with the female owner significantly impacted the overall customer experience. We fully understand that, as a business owner, protecting your equipment and enforcing liability policies is important. However, customers also have the right to ask reasonable questions to protect themselves and fully understand the terms they are agreeing to. During the group discussion about liability, the owner asked if anyone had questions. I respectfully asked whether the business had procedures in place to ensure customers were not being given damaged equipment before rides began. Considering the heavy emphasis placed on customers being financially responsible for damages, I felt this was a fair and reasonable question. Instead of answering professionally, the owner responded dismissively by saying, "This is a business," followed by asking if I was "okay." I calmly responded that I was fine and believed we were simply having a discussion. Unfortunately, from that point forward, the conversation became uncomfortable. My question was never answered, the discussion was abruptly ended, and it felt as though personal feelings were allowed to interfere with professionalism. At no point was I rude, disrespectful, or confrontational. I simply asked a question that was important to me as a paying customer. Customers should never feel uncomfortable for asking reasonable questions regarding liability, especially when those concerns directly affect them financially. Excellent customer service matters just as much as the experience itself. While the staff members mentioned earlier were wonderful, I hope the owner learns that uncomfortable questions are not personal attacks -- they are simply part of doing business and ensuring customers feel informed, respected, and valued.
