Eddie was our guide for the day and he was awesome! I rode Willow and my husband rode Cobalt, both beautiful horses. We were allowed to walk through the stables and see the many horses and pet them, except Dudley...Eddie informed us Dudley has a taste for fingers lol. Eddie was informative and answered our many horse related questions! We took the shorter ride and it was a very quaint and smooth ride through the woods with Eddie leading the way. All and all a great way to spend an hour of your day hanging out with some beautiful animals and great company. read more

Fun family day for 10, all age groups. The instructions were thorough, the horses were good and the guides were friendly. Buster had a mind of his own, Tiny was really nice and grandma had Jax who was a slow, perfect for older people, horse. I sang Rawhide and Old Town Road on the trail. I rode Mattie Lou, who happens be a kicker and kicked Gracie Marie because she got too close to her butt. I screamed out of instinct and that's one thing you're not supposed to do. But did I die? No I did not. The clips for the helmets required for people 18 and under do not work on most of the helmets like another reviewer said. My 16 year old lost his helmet mid ride and the guide in the back got it and brought it back to him so he had to spend time while on the horse trying to get it back on and in the process he lost his sunglasses. I wish they'd allowed parents to waive the helmets use. I understand little children but my son is bigger than me and we brought a 17 year old who is bigger than most adult men, so that requirement might need to go to age 15 and under, especially if the equipment is malfunctioning to begin with. read more

I cancelled my plans to go horseback riding at another location because of the weather and found this place, they were able to fit me in the day of and im so happy they did! Great horses, the staff was very friendly, and the overlook is something everyone needs to see at some point. I HIGHLY recommend this place, it was such a great time! read more

Pulling up this is NOT what we expected. Group of six, including two small children and a teenager. There were many helmets, however we were only able to find two that actually clicked closed. Not given much, if any instruction and very first horse brought out of stable had a shoe that was falling off. One rider in our party was given a 30 year old horse. It took an hour to get everyone on their horses and helmets and ready to go. Our ride started at 4 even though we were scheduled to start at 3. The ride itself was exciting, slightly rough terrain over rocks, through woods and with several steep hills. Not the most professional stable by far, but the ride itself was fun. read more

My boyfriend and I came to Georgia to visit family and we decided to come here to go horse back riding . You must make a reservation so remember that if you have a specific day and time in mind. The guy and girl who brought us on the trail were very kind and helpful! amazing people! I must add it was my first time riding a horse and they made it extremely easy and fun and encouraging . I highly recommend ! they have a mini gift shop and $1 treats to give the horse after the trail. For more advanced riders they have 2 hour and 4 hour trails . We visited the stables as part of a Geocaching event -- to do some Geocaching on horseback. The facility is quite nice, and the staff is all very friendly. We had a great time on an hour-long trial ride and felt quite comfortable. Thanks for a great ride. read more

I had a wonderful experience here. My 7 year old went with me and was well watched over as he rode. The guides make sure you are comfortable and prepared, they are very friendly and the riding trail is absolutely gorgeous. It's a very serene and relaxing trail in the woods. I highly recommend. Wonderful geocaching experience: the staff was friendly and fun (in costume for Halloween), the horses were great and the atmosphere relaxed. We did the guided geocaching tour. This was my experience: We got there at 11am and waited As the staff saddled the horses. I was the last one and I was feeling a little nervous because I don't have a lot of experience riding horses. I noticed the horse my husband was getting in looked like his left foot was bothering him. He wasn't putting pressure on it and when he was pulled to walk forward he limped and the ankle part made a weird movement. I told the ladies, three times, something is wrong with his foot it makes a weird movement. All three times I was ignored and the horse wasn't checked. When it was my turn to get on my horse, one of the lady was telling my horse 'stop being grouchy and don't you dare bite me.' I told the lady I'm nervous and maybe I need another horse. She assured me the horse was the slowest and everything was going to be fine not to worry. When I got on the horse, I'm 5 feet and the straps could not go higher to keep my feet secure. I told the lady can you get the straps higher my feet don't feel secure. She tried but said that's as high as they go but don't worry she's very slow. I probably should of gotten off when I heard this is a grouchy horse that bites and my feet weren't secured but my husband had surprised me with this ride and I didn't want to disappoint him and I didn't want to keep the group of 11 waiting. During the ride I asked if the horses were rotated and the guide said no by the afternoon we give them water and all that good stuff and they keep going. As we were into the trail and going a little uphill my saddle came loose and I fell off the horse. I remember feeling the saddle going to the left and I went with it too falling down and landing in my back. I remember springing back up and not feeling hurt but today my back is sore. The guide that was behind the group got off his horse and strapped the saddle tightly to my horse. He asked me if I was ok. I felt ok and a little embarrassed. I got back up on the horse and continue the trail. When we arrived back to camp there were no are you ok, I am very sorry, nothing from the person in charge. Overall I don't think they take safety of the rider or the horse seriously and either the rider or the horse can get hurt. read more
