They have a snack bar that serves, pizza, nachos, french fries, and a ton of other random stuff. They also have a nice selection of alcoholic beverages. They have 30ish AMF bowling lanes, as well as a small arcade and a pool table. They're open daily. On Friday and Saturday nights they have cosmic bowling. It starts at 10. You pay $16 and bowl as many games as you want until 2 am. Wednesdays, they have a special where you can get your shoes, games, and even snacks for just $1.50 each. Definitely a great place to take your kids! They do host birthday parties! This place is still great for adults and teenagers as well. I mean, who DOESN'T love to bowl?

The amount of stink and smell in this place is both astounding and impressive. Every step I took…read morewas like walking into your local gym. This further made me question the cleanliness of this place, though I didn't ask if any of that has been done prior to daily opening or periodic sanitizing at different times of the day, so I don't know. I arrived shortly after they opened on a Saturday and it began to fill up pretty soon. I recommend not going on a Saturday and perhaps select a weekday to reduce the amount of stank you may experience after a busy week of boredom for your kids. Add to my experience, a family of obvious locals who blocked the areas where most patrons would walk, and I get the feeling they did it on purpose as a show of force from the 'hood. While there, the lights went out for a section of the building. That is a scheduled and planned light-out due to an hourly attempt to allow the kids to 'party out'.

It's big enough that if you or your family want some private, family time, there is a great spot. Multiple areas: to picnic/grill, room for big playing: room to train big dogs, hiking/walking/running/cycling paths, playing frisbee, football, basketball, frisbee/disc golf, playground. There is a lake (I'm not sure if you can fish or not. I would think so. But, double check to be sure.) Area for water play. (A bit of a warning) It has moving water, down the rocks.... The rocks are super slick. Mama tip: Needless to say, adults and kids can fall and get hurt. It's rocks/ big, slick, rocks! But, FUN! Lol I love taking my dogs to walk and play outdoors. On leash, of course. Restrooms throughout the park, and covered pavilions for big groups/family reunions/get togethers/church functions (egg hunts)... great park to enjoy being outside! Fun for everyone:)

A very nice bird show at Callaway Gardens This is a show put…read moreon inside Callaway Gardens. It is held next to the Virginia Hand Discovery center. There is plenty of parking at the center for visitors to the show and the center. There is a nice walkway to the amphitheater where the show is held. The area faces out onto the lake and had about 20 wooden benches (with no backs) in 3 rows with walkways between the rows. I would suggest getting there early and picking a seat out of the sun as there is very little shade. The Bird experts came out ahead of time and told the viewers that the show was about to start and then, before the birds were brought out, gave a warning to the crowd not to make any sudden movements and to keep the children from jumping or raising their hands while the birds were active in the theater. They let some birds fly back and forth from teh front to the back of the theater and at least one bird that walked around the audience so you could get a closer look. The experts did a good job of explaining about the various types and birds that were in the show and providing interesting facts about their habits, habitats, and behaviours while the show was going on. Overall, it was about 30 minutes and very informative. If you happen to be in the area, it is definitely worth seeing.

We've been getting out on it for our double digit runs. It's exudes peace, calm, tranquil, and serene vibes. It's paved, clean, safe, well lit and although not crowded you aren't often far from your next walker, runner, cyclist, four legged friend or stroller. It's the perfect place to get in uninterrupted mileage with stunning views of the river as it flows from rapids to a glistening still. There's plenty of shaded areas as well as exposed. It feels like a very gradual train to the terrain as its essentially flat but has a few bumps here and there to keep the legs feeling their best. If an active lifestyle isn't your thing, it's the perfect place to take in a picnic, enjoy stillness, meditate or read your fav book from start to finish. There are miles and miles of the perfect mixture of fresh air, sunshine, shade and quietness. We run it from the Lake Oliver trail head start (out 5-6miles then turn back for an easy 10-12) but I can easily see doubling down on it if you are looking to get in 20+ miles while still being right beside the city. On and over the water you can go white water rafting, zip line from GA to AL, fly fish, take in a INF World Canoe Championships and more! The Dragonfly has been a symbol of happiness, new beginnings and change for many centuries. The Dragonfly means hope, change, and love. I'd say this trail is perfectly named. Enjoy!
