This bowling alley has been around forever. It's now "Valley Lanes", btw…read more Outside it looks like crap, but they've taken very good care of the place inside. They have a snack bar that serves, pizza, nachos, french fries, and a ton of other random stuff. They also have a nice selection of alcoholic beverages. They have 30ish AMF bowling lanes, as well as a small arcade and a pool table. They're open daily. On Friday and Saturday nights they have cosmic bowling. It starts at 10. You pay $16 and bowl as many games as you want until 2 am. Wednesdays, they have a special where you can get your shoes, games, and even snacks for just $1.50 each. Definitely a great place to take your kids! They do host birthday parties! This place is still great for adults and teenagers as well. I mean, who DOESN'T love to bowl?

It's big enough that if you or your family want some private, family time, there is a great spot. Multiple areas: to picnic/grill, room for big playing: room to train big dogs, hiking/walking/running/cycling paths, playing frisbee, football, basketball, frisbee/disc golf, playground. There is a lake (I'm not sure if you can fish or not. I would think so. But, double check to be sure.) Area for water play. (A bit of a warning) It has moving water, down the rocks.... The rocks are super slick. Mama tip: Needless to say, adults and kids can fall and get hurt. It's rocks/ big, slick, rocks! But, FUN! Lol I love taking my dogs to walk and play outdoors. On leash, of course. Restrooms throughout the park, and covered pavilions for big groups/family reunions/get togethers/church functions (egg hunts)... great park to enjoy being outside! Fun for everyone:)

Don't Go Chasing Waterfalls!…read more What a beautiful surprise to stumple upon these beautiful waterfalls! I enjoyed listening to these beautiful waterfalls inside the Lakewood Park in Phenix City Alabama. This is a large park nestled in a well established neighborhood. I think the name of the neighborhood is the same as the park. I hate to leave this peaceful space and I can't wait to return soon.

Parking is non issue. Theres a cute park along the way, artwork... even zip lining. I loved watching the kayaks in the water. Alan Jackson I remember when Alan released this song in '93 and (having never visited the South to that point) I wondered if he invented some magical river called the "Chattahoochee" because it made for such a catchy guide vocal. Now that we've seen some of what Alan was singing about while on the "Chattahoochee River Walk" in Columbus, Georgia, it makes me wonder if the lyrics to his song could actually be semi-autobiographical. ‍ This trail runs parallel to the river and offers a consistent connection to it during your adventure. Walkers, runners, cyclists, and leashed dogs are all welcome here and from a safety standpoint I'd assign it a perfect score during daylight hours. Those with mobility challenges should not be dissuaded from enjoying it because it is well maintained, mostly flat, and easily accommodates wheelchairs, baby strollers, etc. While I typically elect to run most of the trails that we review, I quite enjoyed causally meandering along this one. Wow! We could not have had a better time than we did tonight! We are Escape Room vets and have…read morerecently gotten our kids (11 and 7) into the game with us. This was our 29th room and the kids 7th and was one of the very best experiences we've had!! We did "The Study" and were super impressed with how well the storyline played out throughout interesting and inventive clues/puzzles/props/riddles and more. There was enough to keep us all engaged and excited throughout, and with a lot of teamwork and a little help, we made it out with time to spare, making us officially 27 and 2!! This is the ONLY gymnastics facility in Columbus so quite naturally there is no other place for…read moreyour kids to go. Facilities: open concept with stadium seating for parents. Parents are allowed to openly view the classes. (5 stars) Refreshments can be purchased. Pricing is reasonable. Drink machines available also. The popcorn is a big hit. This is a nice touch. Restrooms: there is a high volume of usage so there are not as clean as they could be. One of he stalls is designated for the little people. The small toilet is a nice touch. There are curtained changing areas available. There is only ONE water fountain so get in line. Classes: There are a lot of classes offered however due to this being the ONLY facility in town they fill up fast. In my opinion there are TOO MANY kids (6-8 per) in the smaller kids classes (ages 5 and below). With all their energy the "coach" only has two eye and unfortunate they only Look one way at a time and they aren't located in the back of their heads. Classes are ONLY held Monday thru Thurs with one class on Friday evening. If they had classes on Saturday I'm sure the overflow would even out. But they are the only gym in town so I guess they do whatever they want. BOO! When classes dismiss it is a nightmare. If you are cloister phobic or don't like crowds watch out. Too many people gathered at the door. It seems like a fire hazard. The "coaches" do not do a very good job of directing traffic at the door. Front desk staff: there is a young lady at the front desk who's mannerisms are hit or miss. It's all depends on the day I guess. Sometimes she's nice and other tins she treats you like you are a pain in her butt! Not a southern belle that's for sure. There is a gentleman who's at the desk and he seems ok but avoids interaction with parents/patrons. Registration and Payment: there is no electronic registration. Everything is done on paper. No electronic payment either. This is 2016 and they want me to bring a check or cash. I don't carry either one so this should be interesting. Gym Store: They offer a wide variety to leotards for purchase ($35-40). Bring cash. Overall this has potential to be a great gym. They could definitely make the classes smaller to give the smaller kids the attention they need instead of rushing thru the classes and the kids are standing around waiting on the coaches to instruct them or even hurt themselves. My daughter fell last week and the coach didn't even see that she hurt herself. I'd pay more per month to get more coaches (eyes) on the floor for better instruction. Lastly, there is FREE WIFI. I'm sure everyone enjoys that. Personally I like watching my kid but for those that troll the Internet constantly this is definitely a perk.
