Dog park at Clark Community Park
    Chris M.

Great place for a family reunion, kid's birthday party, or church event. They have two pavilions with nice picnic tables. Pavilions can be rented through the City of Stockbridge. Clark Community Park also has a dog park. There is an two unleashed areas: one area for big dogs over 25 pounds and for small dogs under 25 pounds. There is also a paved walking trail and plenty of parking.

    It's a beautiful morning for a walk.

My dog weighs less than 25 pounds so he goes to the little dog section. The park has a little dog section and big dog section parted off which I think is pretty smart. The little dog section is so small and doesn't hardly have anything for the dogs to play with though. I bring my daughter here and she brings our dogs toys and treats and seems to have a good time. I just wish they would a lot more space and more toys for the dogs to play with. At first I thought this was a park where you can walk around with your dog but it is not it simply has a sectioned off dog space. All in all a nice spot to get out with your kids and let them enjoy their pets while having some quality time with them as well.

Yesterday I stepped in dog poop on a trail in Atlanta because the owner was too in cononsiderate to pick it up.

I love coming here to walk my dog and enjoy the dog park. It's really peaceful! Great for a family…read morepicnic or even a solo picnic. I feel safe parking my vehicle and it's really great that they keep the park really clean and you don't have to worry about random trash. I appreciate it because I lived in an area before where I had to always walk my dog around trash.

Gwinnett county has several beautiful parks, but my favorite is Lenora Park which is about a 7min…read more drive from my home. Lenora Park has plenty of beautiful green space to spread out blankets for relaxing or reading, paved walking trails, a fishing lake, community garden, softball fields, disc golf course, separate dog parks for large and small dogs, pavilion, grill, playground, restrooms and a 2 court gymnasium for basketball and pickleball. There's also a seasonal pool. I go here often just to enjoy nature and being outdoors weather permitting. I especially enjoy walking in Lenora Park during the Fall season as it's beautiful to see the many trees changing colors. Lenora park is also my go to location for early voting. Lenora Park is about to undergo some major improvements with revitalizing and expanding the gym into a community recreation center that will have a dance studio, art classroom, kitchen and will include an upper-level balcony with a two-way walking track. I'm excited and looking forward to seeing the progress while on my walks in the park.
