Not great. The grass was overgrown, and the park has a bad smell. I also saw a few aggressive dogs, and the staff doesn't seem to watch things closely. I tried to let my dog off-leash, but I didn't feel safe with so many uncontrolled dogs around. It's unfortunate since the location is good, but I won't be back. read more

I love coming here to walk my dog and enjoy the dog park. It's really peaceful! Great for a family picnic or even a solo picnic. I feel safe parking my vehicle and it's really great that they keep the park really clean and you don't have to worry about random trash. I appreciate it because I lived in an area before where I had to always walk my dog around trash. read more

Gwinnett county has several beautiful parks, but my favorite is Lenora Park which is about a 7min. drive from my home. Lenora Park has plenty of beautiful green space to spread out blankets for relaxing or reading, paved walking trails, a fishing lake, community garden, softball fields, disc golf course, separate dog parks for large and small dogs, pavilion, grill, playground, restrooms and a 2 court gymnasium for basketball and pickleball. There's also a seasonal pool. I go here often just to enjoy nature and being outdoors weather permitting. I especially enjoy walking in Lenora Park during the Fall season as it's beautiful to see the many trees changing colors. Lenora park is also my go to location for early voting. Lenora Park is about to undergo some major improvements with revitalizing and expanding the gym into a community recreation center that will have a dance studio, art classroom, kitchen and will include an upper-level balcony with a two-way walking track. I'm excited and looking forward to seeing the progress while on my walks in the park. read more

I LOVE this park. It's close to me and I am always able to get a great walk in with my fur baby. There are benches throughout the park if you just want to sit, enjoy the view, and people watch. There is also a dog park, playground, gymnasium, aquatic park, and multiple baseball fields. A one park stop for all of your needs. read more

Lenora Park has a wonderful dog park & community of dog owners. I love bringing my dogs to Lenora Dog Park: so they can learn social skills from other dogs. Both my dogs are rescue dogs & did not have the greatest social skills: but since coming to Lenora Park and meeting, playing, running, & bonding with other dogs & other dog owners their social skills have improved greatly. For the most part people pick up their doggie poop; so that is a good thing. read more

I enjoy this park a lot. I used to take daily runs (kind of fell out of the routine...don't judge lol) But the park has nice hills, greenery, water park, lake with ducks, dog park, gym and a big barn in the middle that just screams countryside. Very well kept and there's even a cat that lives in the sewer. His name is Boomer and some guy comes to feed him every morning and I caught him one day and we just talked about Boomer's story lol. (Basically a stray that just decided to camp there) Anyways, I love this park. Really a vibe. read more

By far this park really surprised me! We were invited to a private event which was a pool party. Plenty of parking. The pool was really a water park it is huge. They have a giant water slide, a small water slide, an area for little ones and a river channel. Life guards on duty and really nice picnic areas. That was just the pool area. It also has a baseball field and a few playgrounds. Hiking trails, a dog park, fishing lake and an 18-hole golf course.You can purchase a membership ...residence of Gwinnett get a discount. Excellent park for OTP (Gwinnett). I came here to get a run in and I love the running trail but there are walkers too. Running trail/ walking trail- why its awesome: - asphalt/ blscktop paved trail so easier on the joints than sidewalk than concrete sidewalks - mile markers! Yes! 1&3/4 (1.75)miles loop - shade in many areas - wide enough for 4 people. - theres a short side trail if you want to add in a challenging hill, otherwise the loop is mostly flat for GA standards Besides the running trail, there are 2 baseball fields, a batting cage for practice and a kid's playground AND a huge dog park!! read more

Dog Park is not safe for dogs! I always take my dogs to the Alexander park but decided to go to Lenora park because it's closer to my home. The dog park is really big but people do not watch their dogs! When we first arrived there was dog growling at us (me, my husband,& my dog) we thought the owner would come to calm his dog down but no one came. We didn't know who the dog belonged to until we ended talking to a guy that was sitting at one of the benches that said the dog belonged to him. His dog was barking at every dog that came in and he didn't even get up once to try to calm his dog down. His dog attacked my dog while my dog was leashed. My dog was whining, he was bleeding and the man didn't even bother saying sorry. He just kept saying how he didn't see what happened. I was upset and just ending up leaving. Be careful people do not watch their dogs here! It could have been worse! read more

I love going to Lenora it has so much to offer. From the gym, the long trails , the track , the baseball park or the dog park. This place is family friendly or even great for an outdoor picnic. Lenora Park one of several parks in Gwinnett county. I'm about 5 min away . I run at this park everyday. The only issue I have is it needs more lighting especially on the back side of the park. Police should be more visible as well especially during games . read more

The park has excellent walking paths, separate large and small dog play spaces, a pool, ballparks and lots of parking space. The property never looks shabby and is regularly maintained; no trash is thrown about, the grass is not overgrown and respectful dog owners pick up after their pets. I found there are not enough trash bins along the paths. Bring pet trash bags. read more

Lenora park sneaks up on you, because you start walking on what you think is a quick trail, until you turn a bend and see large fields, countless trees and a trail that meanders through it all. Sitting on 178 acres, the paved trails make up for 1.2 miles, and you can finish that trail in a short amount of time, but man is this park big! Lenora also caters to dogs. They have a dog park fenced in and split between small and large sized dogs. It's really nice with obstacle courses and benches for owners to sit and watch their pets play. You'd think with so many dogs that walking on the grass would be poop city, but no, the park is super clean and no poop on my shoes! The water body here isn't the largest i've seen, but it's nice enough, and geese often find themselves hanging out. On top of the trails, Lenora Park's second (likely first) big draw is the Disc golf. I've seen a good amount of disc golf courses around Georgia, but this may be the prettiest and cleanest one. The disc golf course can be found behind the red barn sitting on the top of the hill, so be sure to check it out to get your bearings. There are 18 holes for disc golf Baseball fields, batting cages a football filed, and a children's play area can all be found at Lenora park, although the football field, as well as a second walking trail can be found on the other side of Lenora Church road. The trails here are well marked with mile markers, and while you can stay on the trails, you can also just cut across the big fields too (which I sometimes did). You can bike the trails as well, but they do have a "slow bikers" sign. Excellent place to bring your dog, fun place to have a picnic, and by the looks of it, a very nice place to get a game of disc golf going. read more

In a nutshell: Lenora Park has become one of my favorite parks that I've been to in Georgia. Quiet and peaceful enough to take a family and beautiful and scenic to enjoy for the whole day for adults and children and kids at heart. Parking is very convenient and the lake in the middle is great for skipping stones and playing around. Great spot for families with spots to have cook outs and a center area with plenty of tables and seating. Great family fun for the entire day. Tip: I suggest to bring some bug spray if you're not good with flying insects. read more

I don't know too much about the Disc Golf aspect of the park. I am sure there are a bunch of hippies that travel to this park and play frisbee golf every chance they can get. I think it would be safe to assume that hippies like to go to many different parks to play disc golf. Do you need an actual course for that sport? I thought it was just throwing a frisbee into a tree or sewer grate...maybe the guys I saw were playing a cheaper version of frisbee golf. Lenora park is the nicer of the two parks located in Snellville, with the other being Briscoe Park, ironically located off of Lenora Church Rd. The quality of Lenora Park can probably be mostly attributed to location specific factors. For those of you who are familiar with the downtown area of Snellville, near highway 78 and 124, you know how bad the traffic is in that area and how crowded the area can become in the morning and afternoon, any day of the week. Lenora Park is far away from all this smog infested part of town in a suburban area that has no where near the traffic that the downtown area experiences. The lack of pollution and heavy traffic leaves enough clean air and serenity to enjoy a nice walk or any other athletic activity at Lenora park. The best feature about the park is the cement track that loops almost entirely around the park. This trail allows walkers, joggers, roller and roller bladers the opportunity to pass by decent scenery like the wooded part of the trail and the some of the activities on the recreational sport fields. The park is safe for the most part too. I would not advise walking around the place in the wee hours of the morning, but I would give you that same advice about the driveway at my house. read more

What a change! This park used to be "meh," but they have done quite a bit over the past decade to make it great. There are tons of trails/paths to walk and bike, and plenty of green spaces to enjoy. I always see disc golfers out and about, but I can't comment on the course myself. The baseball fields are also well kept and always filled with teams practicing or playing. Just be careful if you come here late at night or super early in the morning (when it's dark). I have heard of shady dealings going down at these hours. read more

Great course. Make sure you park as close the the red barn as possible and tee 1 is directly behind the barn. The course is beautiful and extremely clean. The only tee we had trouble locating was 7. I love Lenora Church Park. I do recommend going during the daylight and dusk hours. There is not adequate lighting at night.

We live not too far from the park. It has a small water park and baseball field's, but the main reason we go is for the dog area. They have an area for large breeds and small breeds. They also have an area for playing fetch. It's a wonderful "dog" park. There is a disc golf course that is really nice. There are no fees to enjoy the park but there are fees for the water park and if you want to rent some of the pavilions. Contact the gwinnetcounty.com for prices. The walking trail is terrific, and it's the highlight of a nice, family locale. A full lap around the trail is about 1.88 miles so you'll get your steps in. Scenery includes a beautiful pond with plenty of seating and a barn on a hill. I love to work out here and you will too. read more

Well I don't know about hippies but I am one of those people that play disc golf at this park on occasion. As far as its status as a disc golf park in Georgia it is not the most technical or difficult for that matter. I can attest that most of the people that play the sport of disc golf are not hippies. In fact this park does hold at least one professionally sanctioned event a year by the PDGA ( http://www.pdga.com/ ). When I introduce someone to disc golf I usually take them here first. As far as the other amenities offered by the park the walk/run path is very nice and does border the disc golf course at times. Playground for children, a few baseball fields, and many other open fields provide lots of enjoyment for people of any age. Good lighting and good attendance most of time provide a safe environment for anyone to enjoy the park. With the recent additions of football fields across the street and a water park, this park has almost everything. read more
