Gwinnett county has several beautiful parks, but my favorite is Lenora Park which is about a 7min. drive from my home. Lenora Park has plenty of beautiful green space to spread out blankets for relaxing or reading, paved walking trails, a fishing lake, community garden, softball fields, disc golf course, separate dog parks for large and small dogs, pavilion, grill, playground, restrooms and a 2 court gymnasium for basketball and pickleball. There's also a seasonal pool. I go here often just to enjoy nature and being outdoors weather permitting. I especially enjoy walking in Lenora Park during the Fall season as it's beautiful to see the many trees changing colors. Lenora park is also my go to location for early voting. Lenora Park is about to undergo some major improvements with revitalizing and expanding the gym into a community recreation center that will have a dance studio, art classroom, kitchen and will include an upper-level balcony with a two-way walking track. I'm excited and looking forward to seeing the progress while on my walks in the park.

I LOVE this park. It's close to me and I am always able to get a great walk in with my fur baby. There are benches throughout the park if you just want to sit, enjoy the view, and people watch. There is also a dog park, playground, gymnasium, aquatic park, and multiple baseball fields. A one park stop for all of your needs.

I enjoy this park a lot. I used to take daily runs (kind of fell out of the routine...don't judge lol) But the park has nice hills, greenery, water park, lake with ducks, dog park, gym and a big barn in the middle that just screams countryside. Very well kept and there's even a cat that lives in the sewer. His name is Boomer and some guy comes to feed him every morning and I caught him one day and we just talked about Boomer's story lol. (Basically a stray that just decided to camp there) Anyways, I love this park. Really a vibe.

By far this park really surprised me! We were invited to a private event which was a pool party. Plenty of parking. The pool was really a water park it is huge. They have a giant water slide, a small water slide, an area for little ones and a river channel. Life guards on duty and really nice picnic areas. That was just the pool area. It also has a baseball field and a few playgrounds. Hiking trails, a dog park, fishing lake and an 18-hole golf course. You can purchase a membership ...residence of Gwinnett get a discount. I'm sad I discovered this gem so late in the summer but I will be purchasing a membership next summer. Check out my pics!

Lenora park has everything you need to enjoy a peaceful day. This park features a playground for the kids, a large dog park with separated areas for large and small dogs, several pavilions, disc golf, a fishing pond and, my fave, a 2.0 mile paved walking trail.

Lenora park sneaks up on you, because you start walking on what you think is a quick trail, until you turn a bend and see large fields, countless trees and a trail that meanders through it all. Sitting on 178 acres, the paved trails make up for 1.2 miles, and you can finish that trail in a short amount of time, but man is this park big! Lenora also caters to dogs. They have a dog park fenced in and split between small and large sized dogs. It's really nice with obstacle courses and benches for owners to sit and watch their pets play. You'd think with so many dogs that walking on the grass would be poop city, but no, the park is super clean and no poop on my shoes! The water body here isn't the largest i've seen, but it's nice enough, and geese often find themselves hanging out. On top of the trails, Lenora Park's second (likely first) big draw is the Disc golf. I've seen a good amount of disc golf courses around Georgia, but this may be the prettiest and cleanest one. The disc golf course can be found behind the red barn sitting on the top of the hill, so be sure to check it out to get your bearings. There are 18 holes for disc golf Baseball fields, batting cages a football filed, and a children's play area can all be found at Lenora park, although the football field, as well as a second walking trail can be found on the other side of Lenora Church road. The trails here are well marked with mile markers, and while you can stay on the trails, you can also just cut across the big fields too (which I sometimes did). You can bike the trails as well, but they do have a "slow bikers" sign. Excellent place to bring your dog, fun place to have a picnic, and by the looks of it, a very nice place to get a game of disc golf going.

I love Lenora Church Park. I do recommend going during the daylight and dusk hours. There is not adequate lighting at night.

My dog loved this park. I lived feeding ten birds and she loved barking at them when that swam by to eat the food. Lol

Being a new dog owner, I'm not sure what qualifies a Dog Park as 5-Stars. I've only been to a few…read more(all here in Gwinnett county), and each was equally nice. Harbins Dog Park has three large fenced areas. One for small dogs, one for families with mixed sizes and one really large area for big dogs. The openings to each area have two gates to ensure your dog doesn't make a break for it and the small dog area has playground equipment for the little fellas! All have a shaded sitting area for owners, doggie water fountain, plastic bag dispensers and garbage cans. There is also a paved track that loops around the football field and doggie park. What makes Harbins Dog Park particularly nice is its location. A secluded area on the opposite side of the football field with its own parking. On days where there are no other dogs, we find ourselves watching as cars pull up to see if our little rascal will have a small playmate or if its a larger dog... and he watches too! We either say, "Yaaay, here comes a friend to play!" and he goes bananas or "Sorry, no playmate" and he shrugs it off as if to say "oh well!" I swear he seems to understand! Is that weird or is that a dog park thing? I'm so new to all of this I have no idea what's normal. NOTE: There are reports (on the park Facebook page) that some owners dogs have been aggressive and the owner did not manage their aggression, but so far in 8 visits there have been no serious incidents that I've witnessed. We did have a little weenie dog try to attack our little guy just seconds after walking through the gate, but the owner was quick to react. Downhill from the doggie and football area you'll find a toddler playground, open fields for family sports, restrooms, and a 1 mile paved loop trail. Overall, a very quiet little area for those who don't care to walk the more populated area of Harbins Park just up the road. 2018/67

Most of the time people are in the proper area, but every once a while you get someone with a medium dog inside the small dog area. When you have a few dogs in there under 10 pounds that can be a little intimidating for them LOL They have little areas where you can grab a recycled grocery bag to clean up your dogs Pooh. You can also bring extra bags you have at home to fill and replace the ones being used. There are always people here with their dogs. It's such a great little area if your dog is social or if you're trying to get him social.
