Coming from Atlanta on a Saturday morning, there was light traffic, and the address brought you directly to the free parking lot. The area has lots of foliage, so it's very shaded and a perfect spot for a summer hike or walk. There are several paths and markers, so you can change it up. My friend and I walked two different paths in 1 hour. In addition to the hiking trails, you also have a grass space with a few picnic tables, perfect for a quiet area to have lunch or meet with a group of friends.   Foot traffic was steady, and there were a few people walking solo however it's not something I would do since it's a forest area and not very crowded.

Very. Pretty. Plenty of trials to explore - follow the creek all the way down Houston Mill and Hahn woods. In fact if you're driving Hahn woods is a good place to park as parking is not great anywhere around Lullwater. There is a deck that you can pay to park in at the Emory Clifton campus - that is the closest parking I believe.

The park is about one mile from Southlake Mall. This park is great for locals, just to relax or let their kids play on the playground. It is small, but nonetheless it is a park and holds a few grills for a cookout with the family and friends and has a few picnic tables for a relaxing lunch if you work near by and need a place to relax while you eat. The restrooms by the playground were clean and spacious! The playground was large and fun and offered minimal shade. We drove out and around to the water front to hike the loop trail which was such a joy. We saw so many lovely animals and ran into some lovely locals who shared stories of animal run ins while at the park. The barn you walk through could use some love it was a little spooky haha overall we would come back in a heart beat! It's a beautiful natural oasis!

This is a nice little community park situated right in the middle of several houses. But it's not…read morehard to miss. On this recent Sunday morning, attendance was sparse. There were a couple of families with little people enjoying the play area. The tennis courts and the baseball diamonds were completely empty. Not sure if this usual or not. I could see another playground off in the distance behind the baseball area, but didn't get a chance to get over there to get a closer look. In general, it was really calm. Even with little people around. They seem to have been enjoying their time very much, and the parents either sat quietly nearby or helped them onto the playground equipment. There is plenty of walking space, and also places to come and enjoy a late breakfast or lunch. The wide-open spaces are large enough to accommodate sizable parties for those who are looking for a location to host a get together in a public space. And there are a couple of pavilions. I did notice that there were several electrical outlets available. In all, a very nice, well-kept community park.

Not busy at all, just us and then one other dog walker just before we left. They have portable bathrooms. Can't go inside the mill building or anything, at least on a normal day, but still neat to look at and get some outdoor time. Peaceful and worth the pitstop.

I've found a new place to take my dog for a walk. It's in East Point. Brookdale Park is not an…read moreofficial dog park but not many people go here so you can let your dog run off the leash. If, though, your dog takes off and wont come back you wont want to do that here because it is not fenced in. It has a nice little creek that my dog likes to play in and get wet. This is the only park i've seen that has a creek. It also has a cute little bridge that he likes to walk across. There are brand new tennis courts (will be using these soon) and a new basketball court. It is pretty spacious so my dog can have a good run and get his exercise. There are no watering stations for dogs but that is a non issue since there is a creek and your dog can drink from it. But if you're the type of dog owner that i've seen since i've been in ATL that only gives his dog Evian or water that has been filtered through a 100 point filtration system then you probably wont want to do that. But i'm sure it's alright. They also have nice playground equipment for the kids, a covered picnic area (but no picnic tables......are you kidding me), and a bathroom.
