Such a cute nature trail. Nothing wildly exotic but it's a good 20 minute walk with the family. Plus it's free so donate if you can but it's definitely a cute afternoon activity. There are plenty of benches under the shade to sit and grab lunch.

Beautiful place. Lots of rescued animals. Would highly recommend if you are near Jackson, GA. Free admission but donations go a long way to feed and maintain this place. Nice walking trails. Perfect fall walk.

Rear entry from the Indian springs multi purpose trail

I visited Dauset Trails by accident. I passed it while heading to my destination of Indian Springs State park, but very surprising that Multi use 3.25 mile trail that begins at Indian Springs takes you all the way to Dauset Trails Nature center Taking the multi purpose trail, I visited through the rear entry. One thing to note is that this rear trail closes at 4:30pm, so if your goal is to visit Dauset, keep an eye on your time so that you can leave the same way you came. With that said, today I saw quite a few animals all separated by what they were. The goats very close to the rear exit to themselves, some with their horns, some without. There were also chickens, horses, cows, mules, and pigs. All of the animals were in well kept, clean areas...ok the pigs area was as clean as you could expect would be There's also props from days long gone like old tractors, syrup cookers and "coca cola for 5 cents" ads The grounds of Dauset trails are also well kept up, which for a free center (yep, I said free), that's saying a lot! Sadly I did not get a chance to visit all areas of the park, due to time constraints. I'd like to come back and visit their additional trails: Brownlee Trail (1.2 miles) Sandy Creek Trail (0.8 mi) Pine Mountain Trail (0.8 mi) Wagon Track trail (0.3 mi) Huff N Puff Trail (2.5 mi) and on and on and on You definitely have your hands full with not only the animals but all the trails that feed from the nature center, and if you find yourself in the area with a need for a hike, this may be a winner for you!

What a great place to take kids of all ages. Not only is it free but, it's a great nature walk. They have all kinds of rescued rehabilitated animals in their own little habitats, signs on every one telling you what they are and information about them. They have an inside reptile exhibit, and much more. If you check their schedule, they do shows, classes and festivals from time to time. The trails that take you around to all the animals are almost all paved so it's great easy walking for everyone even wheelchairs. The have nice, clean outside bathroom houses that make it super favorable. ;) In all, you can't beat good ole FREE FAMILY FUN! It's a great place for everyone of all ages.

Staff was very pleasant. -Camp hosts keep the place so clean and neat -Bathrooms were amazing! 2 stalls (one regular and one handicap) and 2 showers (one regular and one handicap). These were spotless. -Really neat kids playground in the new section Cons: -The road in is windy and VERY narrow. -New section: The sites are spacious but man... Not sure who designed it. All the pull thrus had slopes. We actually disconnected the Jeep and backed into our pull thru site as we may have bottomed out trying to actually pull in forward. The spot where the patio is was level and long enough for our 40' bus, but the jeep was on a slant when parked either in front or behind the coach. We saw this in most of the sites. I think if we stayed in the new section again, we'd chose one of the back in sites. -Hook ups were near the front of the site. Good thing we have long hoses! We camped at Indian Springs State Park in a Motorhome.

Would have liked to taste the natural spring water from the pump but there was a line of jugs waiting to be filled although there is a sign stating only a couple gallons per person. This obviously isn't regulated and a couple women were filling numerous gallons and still filling up even when we were walking back to our car.

I've been here before for one of the Halloween events, but this day in particular I was here to actually enjoy the park in broad daylight and not at night. This is definitely the place to get a good workout in. You can walk around the mountain, which is a 5 mile walk or you can walk up the mountain which is 1 mile up. Honey, let me tell you that 1 mile up is not a joke, but you feel so good once you get to accomplish it and see all the other people attending to walk up the mountain. This is a experience for all age groups. The elderly were out there. The young was out there. The middle age was out there. Everyone was there having a good time, exercising and getting in a good stroll in the park. The Rangers are also out in the park for any assistance that you need as well. I thought I was gonna need them plenty of time when I attempted to go up the mountain, but I did just fine and I survived. I prefer to go around the mountain in the 5 mile walk where you see lots of people either on bikes, skates or walking their dog or pushing their kids in strollers it's a great experience and a good walk especially after the weather is decent. Now because I had such a good time, I have to look into getting a pass

I came in this morning, signed in properly, and placed my paddle on game 11. They were on game 8. I waited 45 minutes like everyone else is supposed to, following the system that THEY set up. When game 11 was finally called, I walked up to find that one of the front desk attendants had physically removed my paddle from the rotation and set it off to the side -- completely away from all the other games, no explanation, no heads up, nothing. When I asked him what happened, he looked me dead in the face and lied. Told me he had "stood up and waved my paddle around" to call for me earlier and that I must have been playing in game 8 or 9. I was not. I had been sitting and waiting the entire time. Not only did he move my paddle without telling a single person, he then fabricated a story on the spot to cover it up rather than just owning a simple mistake. When I told him it was completely unacceptable to remove someone's paddle from the pool without notifying them, let alone lie about it, he talked to me disrespectfully and shrugged his shoulders like my 45 minutes of wasted time meant absolutely nothing to him. Zero accountability. Zero professionalism. Zero apology. I picked up my paddle and left, and I won't be back. If this is how staff treat paying members who follow the rules, this place has a serious problem. Train your staff better; or at the very minimum, hire people who won't lie to your customers' faces when they make a mistake.

The size of the park was surprising, in that it did stretch on and on, so you'll get your steps in! Fields are the name of the game here. All sorts of multi-purpose fields for football, soccer, etc are all over the park. Sadly when I went, they were all closed for repair so I was unable to explore them. This is a dog friendly park, however like another reviewer mentioned, there was dog poop littering many of the side walks. It's not the dog's fault so please clean up after your pup! There is a little trail called the heart healthy path where you can walk on and walk through wooded areas. It's really serene and pretty, AND each completion of the trail nets you 0.25 mi, so going 8 times around coul work. Parking here is absolutely no problem as there are lots for days. There's also a nice children's play area for the kids and I saw a few bicycle riders on my visit. Basically there's a lot you can get done here. Best park i've Ever visited? Nah, but if you live close and like getting some fresh air, I bet you'll find yourself here from time to time!
