The parking lot at the nature center is small and fills quickly. I would advise arriving early to get parking. However, I believe that this lack of parking also allowed it to be less crowded that it might otherwise be. Use the restrooms at the parking area before heading out. The parking lot by the mountain base access is also tiny and fills quickly. There is only a porta potty at the mountain access parking lot. One solution is to park at either the nature center or the mountain base and stay put as you explore. It is about a mile or so via roadside boardwalk to get between the nature center and mountain base.

Staff was very pleasant. -Camp hosts keep the place so clean and neat -Bathrooms were amazing! 2 stalls (one regular and one handicap) and 2 showers (one regular and one handicap). These were spotless. -Really neat kids playground in the new section Cons: -The road in is windy and VERY narrow. -New section: The sites are spacious but man... Not sure who designed it. All the pull thrus had slopes. We actually disconnected the Jeep and backed into our pull thru site as we may have bottomed out trying to actually pull in forward. The spot where the patio is was level and long enough for our 40' bus, but the jeep was on a slant when parked either in front or behind the coach. We saw this in most of the sites. I think if we stayed in the new section again, we'd chose one of the back in sites. -Hook ups were near the front of the site. Good thing we have long hoses! We camped at Indian Springs State Park in a Motorhome.

There's parking less than a half mile of the main entrance the only thing about that is you have to get there early . Parking lot holds maybe 25 vehicles. When I pulled in there were 6 cars. I entered the trail on the south entrance. I saw no one ! I was looking around and behind me to make sure it was okay as I was alone. I finally came up behind 2 guys that were walking up ahead. I had been out there maybe 20 min. Saw a large Buck (deer) tried to get a pic but he ran when I pulled out the phone . The trails are completely paved with several wooden bridges along the way. Off pavement trails throughout the park. I did not venture off bc again I was alone and I'm not really familiar with the park. Great park to get you in top tier shape. Winding curves and elevation along the trail. Plenty of shade as the trees hover over . It reminds you of Stone Mountain Park just not as large. Idea weather 80 degrees low humidity. Managed to get in 4 miles. I most definitely will be back .

The other ranger told us lots of stories of the history of the park. It was a great experience and I highly recommend you try it.

Bill and Kade were kind to me and my guests and provided good customer service. However, after all of the excitement and determination to make the weekend great for The Husband's 50th, I don't think I will return. It was a very difficult balance to celebrate in such a quiet calm place. We were asked not to play loud vulgar music, but the aux was passed and there it goes. Bill wasn't rude but...I don't know. The issue was resolved and we still ended up having a great time. In hindsight I am feeling the cost for the rental of the pavilion was a bit expensive with no contracts and such...I don't know, but because I had such a great time it's a shrug ‍ I still liked it better than renting a section in the club. The pavilion is really nice and huge with several fire pits conveniently placed to enjoy your stay. They sold me a stack for the pits for $20. We had a trailer pulled to the camp site for $45 a night. Make sure you confirm the size and amps needed. It was almost an issue. I'm a novice at camping. The paddle boats could use an update/upgrade. I would recommend you go here if you want to camp not party we had our friend pull a truck in for some good BBQ all of his cuisines ate great though! The camper was rented through Better Travels LLC, Rhett or go to outdoorsy.com. Rhett was amazing!!! He was professional and safe . He and his driver worked out complications with the sight to place the camper due to miscommunication. Thanks Rhett!!!!

The parking is ample (and paid) and has space for horse trailer parking as well. As I arrived at the main area I took a moment to review the board. The board educated me that there were multiple trail options. Also, the routes vary by skill level and miles. I was so excited. As today was my non-gym day I decided to go for the Yellow Trail as it is Moderate in effort and is 3-4 miles. I was slightly confused at first, however, there was an entry to the trail towards the back of the parking area. Once I found it, it was all go from there. LoL!
