"The Queso That Keeps On Giving" Rusty Taco's chips and queso is dangerously good. Like, can't-stop-even-when-you-know-you-should good. The chips are perfectly salty, the queso is creamy, cheesy bliss, and together they form a power couple stronger than Beyoncé and Jay-Z. However... this time around, the queso gave us an extra gift. Let's just say, after devouring basket after basket, we were producing our own mariachi section -- with brass instruments we didn't know we had. Loud ones. Long ones. Vibrato. It was like our digestive system was throwing a fiesta of its own, complete with confetti cannons (okay, not literally, thank goodness). Would we order it again? Absolutely. 10/10 worth the risk. Just maybe don't plan a first date, a road trip, or a silent meditation retreat right after. Rusty Taco, your queso is a masterpiece... and also a gas-powered engine. read more

Rusty taco is becoming a family favorite! They have got great specials every single day. We've been there on Tuesdays where they have their $2.99 tacos, Wednesday when they have their $7.99 nachos (enough for 2-3 peeps) and Thursday when they have their four for $10 tacos. It's a great way to try a lot of their food. Each taco is at least 3 to 4 bites. And they have a good amount of filling. So far the fish taco has been my favorite. I got the crispy fried and my husband got the grilled. We both thought they were great. Also loved the shrimp tacos! The people are always super friendly and nice. Whenever we've had a problem, they're quick to fix. read more

The Rusty Taco opened near my home, and we were in need of a quick bite, so I placed an online order for pick up. The interior of the place was large, with lots of tables and space. I arrived at the time my order said it would be ready, but they needed an extra 10 minutes to finish up. We ordered a variety of tacos and their queso, guac, and salsa app. The tacos weren't bad, but they weren't amazing. For the price, you're actually getting a pretty big taco. Some of the tortillas were dried out, they forgot to add some additional salsas and sauces per our online request, and some tacos lacked flavor. Nothing in particular stood out to us but we'll give them a shot again another time. read more

We are so excited to have new places to eat close to home! We went tonight not knowing that today was only their second day of being open but they were killing it! The line went fast and the wait for our food was short. We were impressed by how good they were doing on only their second day. Way to go to the staff for working so hard! Located in a beautiful new development of stores on 2700 N in pleasant View. Everything in the building is new and modern. The decor in the building is so cute. We loved the painted brick wall. It was vibrant and fun! They were very busy but we didn't have trouble finding a seat. Food is served on metal trays. Disposable cups, paper towels rolls on each table. They have three different bottles of salsa in a little fridge by the soda machine. Ketchup is also available in that fridge. Customers take the bottles to their tables and return them when they are done. Atmosphere is nice. The fans were going strong so it was nice and cool but not to cold. The noice level wasn't bad. I appreciated that they have a microphone to call out the orders so you can hear. Ok, the food. The bottles of sauce...the red salsa was the best. Not spicy with a lot of flavor and a small amount of sweet. The green tasted like it was made with pineapple or apple juice. I could not place the taste. Something fruity and sweet. It wasn't as good as the red. The orange was not good at all. The initial taste is not good and then the spice hits you and it's hot! Even without the spice, the flavor wasn't great. I would eat the red again but would pass on the other two. We ordered chips and queso which were good. The chips were thin and crunchy. The queso was good and had chucks of peppers in it which I liked. The basket wasn't huge but it was plenty for the two of us to share. If my family of six was eating, the one order wouldn't have been enough. They serve coke products with the soda machine being self serve which is always a bonus. On to the tacos...we ordered five but we somehow ended up with six on our tray. Not sure if it was a mistake or intentional. The extra taco was the rusty taco so I thought maybe they were giving everyone a free rusty taco on opening week? Not sure. I am going to rate them in least favorite to most favorite. -Rusty Taco: I'm going I be honest about this. It tasted the way ointment smells. (Udder balm to be exact) I don't know what the spice on it was but this is all I could taste. It was very flavorful but just not a flavor I like. -Philly taco: this one was good but did not say Philly to me. I was expecting to to taste more like a Philly cheesesteak which green peppers, mushrooms and cheese whiz. This one had chucks of meat and lots of peppers almost like a fajita mix. I almost wondered if they gave us the fajita taco by mistake. The meat seemed tougher than what you would get on a Philly. The flavor was strong and good but it wasn't the sliced beef that is found in a cheesesteak. Good flavor but not a Philly. -the Green Taco: this was really good! Lots of meat and toppings. Flavorful and the meat was tender. Had a little bit too much green sauce but still delicious. -the chicken taco: I really liked this one. The chicken was crispy and good. Adding the red salsa took this one up a notch. I liked this one a lot! -the fish taco: we chose crispy fish and it was so good!! The sauce on this was amazing! The cabbage added a nice crunch. I loved it with the like squeezed on it. We chose the corn tortilla for this and it was delicious! -the veggie: I was shocked by this one. It was amazing! I loved the crispy tots in it and the sauce was so good! It might be the same sauce used on the fish but I'm not sure. This had tots, peppers and onions and sauce. So so good!! It might be a tie for the fish and veggie as my favorite which is strange because I thought they would be my least favorite. I will be going back for these two tacos. My husband actually agreed on them being the top two best ones. All in all, the place is really good! I want to go back and try some other stuff. I was tempted by the breakfast taco so I might try that next time. Breakfast tacos are served all day. I really liked both the corn and flour tortilla and it's nice that they give you the option. The tacos are big and very filling. We didn't even eat all of it because we were stuffed. Total cost was around $30. It's for sure a winner and we will be back! read more

It was pretty good. The service was great. I really liked the queso...only problem is the chunks of onion and peppers in the queso sink to the bottom of the bowl so be sure so stir the queso as you eat it..otherwise you're left with a bowl of veggies after the queso is gone. read more

Was craving steak nachos so I ordered them through door dash. Received chips with chicken on them. Luckily their chicken is good but it's not what I wanted. read more

We were excited to try this new taco place near home. The employees were very polite and professional. The restaurant was clean and busy. Our five tacos took a minute to get, but we understood since there were five different varieties and it was dinner time on a Saturday night. We tried the grilled shrimp taco, the rusty taco, the brisket taco, the black bean egg taco, and the chicken fajita taco (some on the corn and some on the flour tortilla). Both tortillas were great. Our favorite tacos were the rusty and the black bean egg. We will be back! read more

Lots of improvements here! Clean tables, great service and great food. Of note, I ordered 5 tacos, chips & queso, and drinks for three people spending $35 with tax. Not bad! Still loving the green street tacos and anything with brisket. read more

Rusty Taco - Wednesday evening - Looks really clean! - Tacos Near Me - Pleasant View, Utah

My colleague had stopped here two times and said the tacos and nachos are the worst. I still wanted to give this place a try since it is new and why not? Think of this place as a mashup of Americas favorite food, inside a taco. Nothing about this place is traditional Mexican tacos. We ordered the steak philly, chicken fajita, texican, and the rusty tacos. I also got the side of queso. The queso was really good and the chips were excellent as well, this was probably the best part of the meal. The texican taco was also tasty, we both liked this one a lot, it is like a carne asada taco. The third best item was the chicken fajitas then the Philly steak. Ironically the worst item we tried was the rusty taco. Avoid the rusty taco. Overall an average place to eat but if I'm in the mood for some good queso and chips I'll stop in and try some other tacos too. I liked the medium salsa. read more

I really wanted to like this place and have been very excited to try it. Staff was very nice, I did notice that 90% of the staff looked like teenagers. Teens can work but they need a lot of oversight. Came in around 7. Dining room was mostly empty with lots of dirty tables and floors that needed swept. Several staff just hanging out at the cash register area. I wiped my own table off with a paper towel, no one came to assist. Food was meh. Pricey, nothing special. We tried the fish taco, Philly taco, Rusty taco, and the Shrimp bowl. That with a soft drink was $32. Bf liked the Philly but commented on how big they cut everything (onions and peppers in big chunks) to put in a little street taco. Picked wilted cilantro off my taco and bowl, why bother with a garnish that is mushy and wet? Just seemed like an easy thing to not put on if the cook is actually looking at the food they are serving. I will be surprised if it's still here next year, we probably won't come back. read more

This place just opened recently in north Ogden and it's so good!! The chips and queso were actually some of the best I've ever had! And I got the green river pork taco, WOW that was bomb! I also got the fried chicken taco? That one was okay, I should have added some of their extra salsa to it! The service was quick and awesome! Alana was actually BOMB such a fan of her! A good experience will be here again! read more

AMAZING TEX MEX!!! From Texas and all I have been looking for is Mexican food JUST like this!! The workers always go out of their way to make it the best experience, making the service incredible. The overall feel of the restaurant brings me right back to my college town in Texas. There is NO WHERE in Utah that is doing it like this!! read more

It's cute for non authentic Mexican food, more like a fusion. My husband loves the breakfast burrito!

Overall not bad. It was talked up a bit by some people we know. Glad for some new eats in town. It was a bit pricey, 4-5 dollars per taco; 5-6 for a kids meal but you do get a kids souvenir cup, so that's cool (kids thought so). Chips and Queso appeared overpriced at first glance but the chips are delicious and served hot which was a nice touch. The chips are refillable too so that resolved the pricing concerns. Really a nice treat. Tacos - ordered the brisket, rusty, and Baja shrimp. Rusty was my favorite. Very flavorful and juicy. I enjoyed all the tacos but liked them in this order...Rusty, Brisket, Baja Shrimp. My only knock is the flour tortillas were a bit dry. Flour tortillas get crispy and breakable when over cooked or cooked on a griddle. That's kind of how they were but still fine. Service - food was ready within 5 minutes. Facility - restroom was clean. Table was clean. Floors had food on the ground in parts and dried soda spills in parts. We'd go back and glad there is this style of food in town now. read more

Went in and ordered and they shorted me a taco, gave my husband a wrong taco and my daughter as well. The girl who took our order struggled to our order and when she read it back it was wrong so we corrected her and it still turned out wrong. The employees didn't look happy and were not friendly. Very disappointing for a new restaurant in our area. Management needs to take a look at this read more

I'd give this 2.5 stars. The options are not at all what i expected from a taco place. No carne asada or classic chicken tacos this place should actually be called the rusty fajita. read more

First off love the new food options in that plaza. More food choices in north Ogden area is great, thank you The staff was extra nice and friendly, helpful with food suggestions which is always great for a new place to eat. Kids had the fried chicken quesadillas and they seemed to enjoy them as much as they do everything else for being 9. Wife and I had the regular tacos off the menu and enjoyed them as well. Price was fair, portion size just above street tacos, the chips, guacamole and salsa were good as well. Nothing to complain about except maybe the acoustics make for a loud environment but that is to be expected in a place with concrete floors and no ceilings Sorry no food photos as I was hungry read more

Love the tacos here and the bowls. Can't go wrong. Friendly services and always nice.

If you order online you better open your order and check every single taco. Ordered 12 tacos online. 3 completely missed. 2 of the same taco when we only ordered 1. 3 customized tacos - nah just make em however you want and add everything we didn't ask for . Also gotta tell them your name minimum or 2 times for pick up. Memory can't retain only saying your name once . read more

One of my favorite taco places they have a really good crispy chicken taco called the fave. Staff is really kind and friendly. Definitely recommend. read more

Just meh. Rusty spoon. More like rusty spill. You're better off making tacos at home. $17 for this is overrated. The service is alright. The place is boring and to mainstream. read more

Rusty Taco - Meh just meh - Tacos Near Me - Pleasant View, Utah

Not sure how this place has good reviews because when we went we didn't have the greatest experience. Our tacos were cold and not to mention how expensive they are for 1 taco. It ranges from $4-6.. we got 4 tacos and spent $40... wasn't greeted at check in and also was given the impression i looked stupid when asking that the best tacos were. Not sure we'll be returning again. read more

Got the signature taco.... Pineapple was definitely from a can, pineapple was gray in color, took one bite and I had to spit it into my napkin it tasted spoiled. Got beef nachos, nothing you couldn't make at home. Teenagers playing music that cursed. No hate to the owners but room for improvement read more

Rusty Taco - The Rusty Taco - Tacos Near Me - Pleasant View, Utah

First of all, the food is tasty. The Birria tacos 3 qty for a little more then $15 are pretty good, dynamite shrimp taco $4.79 was also good, but didn't have any spice to it, and the fish tacos $3.99 were also good. I really enjoyed all three sauces, the green, the red, and the habanero, which I warn you is pretty hot. My complaints were what you get for the price quantity, not much, every taco had hardly any filling in it and for the price they should've been filled more, all the tacos we bought were pretty much flat.. So nice place, great taste, too expensive with very small quantity. read more

This was so good! I love their crispy shrimp! Service was fast and they almost instantly gave us our chips and queso. So excited that this is so close to home for me! read more

Good food. Lots of onions in everything. Little spicy. VERY EXPENSIVE Considering the amount of food given.

The nachos were a disappointment. Not enough brisket, no cheese. It was as if I ordered BBQ sauce and chips. It's overpriced for poor quality. 0/10 DO NOT RECOMMEND read more

First clue not to eat here should have been the sticky floors and dirty tables with a bunch of young employees socializing instead of working. Food was the worst. The eggs in the breakfast burrito were rubbery; the corn tortillas fell apart with one bite; the flour tortillas were too hard to eat. save your money and do NOT eat here. read more

Underwhelming. Overpriced for what you get. Meat had good flavor, especially the brisket tacos. But the nachos are very disappointing: no real cheese, no beans, no guac, no rice, and the portion size is small. read more

ONE STAR!!! My hubby and I were so exited to try this new taco spot , we ordered some shrimp tacos and nachos with some drinks, the nachos were very disappointing!! it was basically chips with meat on it??? no pico no sour cream ??? and for what we paid , we were very disappointed , the shrimp tacos look decent but ended up giving my hubby very bad food poisoning the customer service was alright, but it did take about 20-25min just to receive our food which again would be fine if the food was worth it but it wasn't the restaurant just looks like it ran by teenagers (which would explain the food poisoning) SAVE YOUR MONEY DO NOT EAT HERE!!! read more

Wait times are just too long, even with no one in the lobby or in line. Food is just OK. Don't get the chicken tacos - they are way too dry and the corn tortilla just disintegrates in your hands. Horrible. I really wanted to like this place, but for the convenience and the flavor it's not worth the money. Plus, it's not the cheapest place either. The food is way overpriced for what you're getting. read more

Staff and food were great! Best experience we have had here yet! We enjoyed the chips and queso plus all of our tacos.

Staff forgot some of our order... BUT made up with it with a free meal coupon and a free drink. Will be coming back because the food was still really good. read more

Food was good. Service sucked! Whole staff is teenagers and nobody seems to be doing there jobs. Bad management!

Myself and a coworker came here for lunch. We both ordered the green street taco, and it comes smothered in sour cream and way too much tomatillo sauce. I expected at least some flavor, but all I got was vivid images of that racist uncle who has himself conviced because he can cook "better than taco bell", he should open a franchise. Where him and Bubba came up with the recipe for the most bland excuse for a taco imaginable. It had so much sauce and sour cream it was already cold no more than 60 seconds after they pulled it off the grill. Who wants cold tacos!? This was the worst "mexican" food I have ever tried. The service was barely passable for a brand new trainee... I say that as someone who worked for 8 years at a restaurant, my expectations are not impossible or even difficult to meet. Im just a hungery construction worker, who was hoping to find a decent taco place. Im disappointed that all the managment does to adress issues is try to hush them down off the internet with favors or whatever instead of addressing the issues with staff and refining the way they do things. If you want a tasty taco, save youself the headache and disappointment. These people have no idea what they are doing. read more

Tried today for the first time. I got the nachos and I asked for no pico so what was left was cheese and chicken. The picture looked like there was more on top. The chicken was big chunks. Shouldn't shredded chicken go on nachos? They were just okay. My husband tacos were just okay also, except the egg and brisket he said was good. Don't know if I'll be back. read more

I ordered the birria tacos with no onions or cilantro. When I got home the tacos fell apart and were mostly onions and cilantro. I tried to power through put the mushiness of the corn tortillas and the cilantro was too much to overcome. And I know food can get a little soggy when you get it to go, but my drive was only 3 minutes away. Super bummed since they have been good in the past. Hopefully it gets better with more time. read more

Had the birria tacos. Meat did not taste good at all; brisket was very sweet. Very expensive for what you get. 15 dollars for three tiny tacos. I even asked the kid if they were big tacos. For 15 bucks, I should have had 9 tacos that size. At the very least rice and beans with a drink for 12 dollars. I had to go order a big mac meal after I left because I was still hungry. I was excited to have more food options here in North Ogden, however, I will never eat at this place again. read more

So yummy and service was fast and friendly! Love it here and will be coming a lot! It was clean and they had all the yummy sauces!
