The service was excellent and everything came out much more quickly than I would have expected for a large group. I had the chile relleno and it was the best I've ever had. Perfectly portioned and delicious. Family had everything from fajitas to quesadillas and everyone was quite happy with their meals. The salsa for the chips had a slight kick to it but not enough to stop you from digging in for more. Great experience and staff.

Food came out within minutes of ordering and all at once. Entrees on top of appetizers. Beer selection. Just the big name brands. Fine. But weirdly the rim of my beer glass was coated with a powder that tasted like ground up Doritos. Yuck. Food. Generic burritos and tacos were acceptable. The queso: Within minutes it cooled into a blob of chewy cheese. The chicken with mole: Chicken was dry and tasteless; the mole was thin and watery, and lacked any hint of chocolate. Did we dine here on an off night? Perhaps since it's a really popular place. Hard to say. All I can say is, it's not for us.

There seems to be a lot of hype going on regarding this fast-casual Mexican eatery. I did enjoy the…read moreclean, modern dining room for a nice change from the usual hole-in-the-wall. I hoped the food would match, but it missed the mark. The menu items we tried were definitely more miss than hit. First, theirs is not a true quesabirria taco, not even close. Heavy on clumpy, wet birria, we could barely see nor taste the micro amount of cheese. Flavor of the beef was fine, if on the strong side, with an included small cup of tasty consommé..But again, not quesabirria. Their "el trompo" al pastor seemed promising, I mean this is a chef driven restaurant after all, but it was another fail. Al pastor was not good at all, much too tough, with very little flavor, and in need of more sauciness. Last I tried was their carnitas, which finally had the right tender texture, but again not enough flavor. Tacos here are stuffed full of meat, and have pretty good, freshly crisped tortillas. Most of them are priced at $3.25. On Taco Tuesday they used to be $1.50 each, but was recently raised to $2.50..Which is the average cost of any authentic taco elsewhere these days, so not a good deal. Though I will add, the four salsas in their salsa bar are very well made and do help some. But for a modern taco place like this I just expect more all around. Their "chef" needs to try a couple of competitors like Tacos Lopez or El Morelense and taste what theirs should be nearer to. Or even better, an actual quesabirria taco - griddled and filled with much more gooey cheese (and less meat), like mini quesadillas (they do them right at Del Barrio Cafe). Unless these recipes get an overhaul, I won't likely be back.

Ehhhh. It was ok to pretty good…read more If the price was lower, the value would have went up. We have 5 small kids and my wife and I and we dropped almost $100 for lunch. For $100 i expected alot more. The building looks newer. At first impression, they did a good job, simple, clean .. and smoked wonderful. You're greater at the counter with a kind person that explains their process. Fresh made tortillas and juices. Then he offers so let you taste the juices they make fresh daily with little tiny Cups. They were absolutely delicious. So of course we bought the pineapple and horchata. These were definitely the highlights of the meal. Even at $5 each they were pretty good. Probably the best horchata I've had in a long time. The small size rice ($5) and the beans ($5) were a waste. Don't do it. The rice was pretty but tasteless and the pinto beans were not fresh. You could tell they were reheated. The salsa bar was a great touch. Half a dozen salsas , cucumber, cabbage... serve yourself as much as you want. The salsas were "ok" nothing stood out. So I ordered a chips and salsa ($5). Salsas again, was ok. And the chips had a seasoning on them that were pretty good. Almost made them taste like a hint of Doritos. I wouldn't order again. The tacos. Super small and kinda pricey. The carne asada was a flop. Tasteless, overcooked and dry. The birria was ok, except it was loaded with fatty pieces. The adobada was their flagship taco. It was pretty flavorful /'d you can add cilantro , onion and guacamole at no extra cost. I had 3 tacos ($3-25 -3.50 each) with all the sides. And was still Hungry when we left. My kids ate all their food and we even had to order more because they were hungry as well. The asada tacos were dug through to get the edible pieces and half the meat got tossed. Overall my experience was pretty good. Very friendly, clean ... but the food was ok... Maybe I'm giving them a hard time because I expected way more for the value.... I was just visiting in the area... but probably will Keep driving by next time to find something else. But if I'm in the mood for a juice or an adobada taco... it may bring me back.

Tasty and provided a lot of meat. Store made fresh yellow corn tortillas (yellow is way better than white corn). Topped with fresh guacamole . 9/10. Didn't care for the carne asada meat. Bit chewy and too much fat for my taste. The cut size of the meat was pretty good. If you know you know, the meat cut size makes a huge difference in taste. 5/10. Greeted by the worker and answered any questions we had. Overall a good experience. 4 tacos was enough to fill me. These aren't small street tacos.
