They gave me chopped brisket instead of a second order of sliced brisket and unfortunately it did not compare favorably to the slided brisket. The sides were solid. Crispy french fries pair well with BBQ as does savory, well-seasoned collard greens. The vegetable plate (fried okra, mac and cheese, cole slaw, and sweet potato fries) also received high marks. The options included fried chicken, sweet cornbread, biscuits, green beans, black eyed peas, Mac n cheese, squash, okra, dirty rice, collard greens, potatoes au gratin, Lima beans, pulled pork, beef stew, mashed sweet potatoes, mashed potatoes, potato salad, and maybe a few more options. You pass the dishes around the table and load your plate up until your heart is content. The best items to me were the fried chicken, sweet cornbread, and peach cobbler. The dirty rice was undercooked and there were hard pieces. Everything else was just sustenance. If you're a vegetarian, your options will be limited to sides only.
