You get what you pay for! If you are looking for a light or cheap meal, go elsewhere. But if you are looking for an amazing steak dinner with all of the fixings and a nice atmosphere - this is your spot. While it might be a little tricky to find due to the speakeasy vibes, if you park in the lot on the very side of the plaza you'll see it. Plenty of parking too in the lot. Upon my arrival, I was greeted by Jessica who so graciously welcomed me despite my showing up close to closing time. I got to sit upstairs on a quiet night and have most of the place to myself, including the AMAZING salad bar that had more premium ingredients than I ever expected. I ordered the 10oz prime rib which was definitely larger than I expected as well. So tender, juicy and cooked to perfection. I have seen other reviews complaining about the price, but for $43 (which includes that massive salad bar and a fantastic baked potato) you get every bit of your money's worth. I ate leftovers throughout the next day. This was a wonderful experience for me as an out of towner - I really think everyone here takes pride in what they do and what they serve. I was looking for a big, fat delicious steak in Oklahoma and I was overly impressed with Rusty Barrell. Jessica really made my experience top notch - big thanks to her and the kind staff who stayed behind to keep this place open even later than what the website tells you. I just love this place. The bar is fun and the food is usually good. Our reservation was at 7, but we had drinks in the bar first. Our waitress in here was excellent and very patient with my elderly family. At a few minutes until 7, the waitress came in from the restaurant and said we needed to get to our table because there were reservations behind us. Uhhhh, okay. We ate our food which the prime rib was good, but had way too much fat on it. Then we got dessert and were having a great time. At 8:10, I saw a family come in and our waitress was talking to them and motioning towards our table. The whole family stared over at us. At 8:20, our waitress came over and asked if we were heading into the bar. I told her no, we were leaving soon as my mom and my aunt came out of the bathroom. She said, "well, there are people here with reservations at 8:30 and we need to seat them." An upscale restaurant that we spent hundreds of dollars in tonight, and she's herding us out like a bunch of cattle!! Just terrible!! My family had never been to the Rusty Barrel before, and this happened! This waitress needs to be educated on how you treat good paying customers. This happened Friday night. Middle aged waitress with glasses and bangs that kept getting in her eyes. Please don't treat your good paying customers like this! I seriously hope the owners see this. read more

Love love love the old school salad bar here. I could make a meal of just salad and all the great accompaniments. Although if I did that I would be missing out on a good steak or a really good pork chop. The service has been somewhere between fantastic and amazing each visit and make sure you have a tumbleweed for dessert. A few minor inconsistencies on food prep keep this from being a 5 star rating but all day long 4.5. I'll keep coming back when I'm lucky enough to be in PC!! read more

Great hidden gem! I wish I would have taken pics of my food. One of the best steaks I've ever had, grilled to perfection. Has an old time steak house feel. Great service and environment. Jen has been out waitress the last couple of times and she has been one of the best!! She gives great recommendations and made sure we were taken care of when we moved to the lounge. Kerri is an awesome bartender and brings out the drinks personally when she can. Please try the Tumbleweed. It is a great topper to your meal! We celebrated here with family. The new lounge is top notch, killer atmosphere, excellent bartenders and a great selection of bourbons and tequila. Be sure to check out the bar bites, there are some great options. For dinner, kick things off by hitting the salad bar. It can't be said enough times, the steak is outstanding and guaranteed to be served exactly how you like it - served on a hot plate with a huge baked potato. Awesome hidden steak house in Ponca City! Celebrating our 27th anniversary and wanted a cozy steak house to eat at. Well Hubby found it! Shared a medium ribeye and a baked potato. And ordered mushrooms. Enough food for two! Everything single thing we ate was DELICIOUS. Steak was cook perfectly, we had it medium. The baked potato was medium size and definitely enough to share. So you do have to ring the bell to get let in which is kinda interesting to say the least but hey whatever..... so, the salad bar was really pretty darn good and the pasta salad and Mac salad was really good! I could say we could visit this spot again anytime we rolled through town. So the ribeye is what I got my eye on and man can they make some meat! Cooked a little over what I asked for but I'm not a temp snob. The seasoning on here and the fat was just perfect. The potato they give you was really good but it needs some bacon, cheese, and chives to round that sucker out. Overall this was a really good visit and the waitress was really nice. We have visited this quaint little out of the way gem several times before in past years. They didn't disappoint....the meal was phenomenal....as we had fondly remembered. I HAVE to mention, as we were leaving, because we were on the upper floor, a wonderful young man who I assume is a bus boy, kindly offered to walk ahead of my husband and let him put his hand on his shoulders to help guide and protect him from falling. This act of kindness was nearly as awesome as our meal! I'd really like to see management definitely recognize this wonderful employee...and thank you for a special evening! read more

Went to the Rusty Barrell for dinner with customers and have to say everyone agreed the steaks were some of the best steaks we had ever had. Perfectly cooked and seasoned just right. They were served with a well cooked baked potato and the service was great. Where I score it down though is for the salad bar. It just didn't look appetizing. The display was fairly old and dilapidated to start with but the salad items just didn't look that fresh. On top of that we are still going through Covid so I was surprised to even see a serve yourself salad bar up and running. No one in our group was brave enough to try a salad! But if you want a damn good steak this is the place to go! read more

We try to go there every year when in town. This year 2 times we called for reservations did exactly what the recording said to do leave name phone number time of reservation. We did this twice 1st time they were not busy and found us a table. 2nd time they said we don't listen to our messages and we don't have a reservation for you. So I recommend if you want to eat at the rusty barrel do not leave a message they dont listen to them, make sure you speak to a human, or you will not eat there, they will send you home very disappointed. read more

This is definitely a steakhouse if you don't want beef don't go here. From the outside you have no idea what to expect from the inside. Inside quite a small setting two levels and they cook the steaks essentially in the center of the first floor dining area, and a rather open area. In our party there were two New York strips ordered a ribeye a filet and I had the prime rib, all of the entrees were $30 and above however that did come with a trip to the salad bar and a baked potato. If you wanted a green vegetable on the side there's an additional $10. Everyone enjoyed their meal I have to say my prime rib was probably the best prepared of all of the meat that was at our table. The salad bar was okay. As I mentioned the menu items are limited and they did have a couple of fish choices. As a note the staff was very friendly and very efficient read more
