Feeding turtles
Denisia S.

What a great place! We tried it for the first time yesterday evening. I have really nothing negative to say about this place. We sat outside on their balcony/porch area. Great views! The service was excellent, our server Lee was very personable and attentive to details. The food was great! My husband's steak was cooked perfectly. The portions were a little too big for us. The bathrooms were very clean and neat. It's a great place for a romantic evening out or dinner with the kids - which was our case. Our kids enjoyed the open grass area by the water as well as feeding the turtles leftover French fries. We'll definitely come back!

Frozen mango margarita
Mr. W.

Ordered pimento cheese with house soft chips appetizer..big portion and filling. Ordered frozen mango margarita...slightly above average yet presentation looked pleasing to the eye. Also ordered flounder sandwich with fries. Fries were a bit oily and mushy ..i liked the fries i put malt vinegar on the flounder. But it is also decent without malt vinegar. Tartar sauce was average. Horseradish bit my sinuses but i ate it straight. Good horseradish sauce. Decent service

Shrimp wrap

This a great environment! Love the atmosphere and the service was great. The food is not bad. Got the shrimp wrap, the sauce gives it a nice kick but it's just the sauce, shredded lettuce and fried shrimp but still ok. The fries were soggy for my liking but they were ok as well. You just can't beat good service and atmosphere anymore! We will definitely be back.

Excellent filet! The most tender I've had in a long time. Service was prompt, and our server (Kayla) was very conscientious!

We have gone to this establishment for years and were a bit disappointed to see how limited the choices are with entrées. I had the Caesar salad with salmon. I did not care for the dressing, as it was not the normal Caesar I am accustomed to. My husband had a salad with steak. He thoroughly enjoyed his entrée and was pleased, discovering it to be ribeye. We especially miss the skillet appetizers and the pasta/seafood entrée.

We started off with some fried green tomatoes.  Everyone does their little twist on them and this place did the same.  Personally, I am good with them as is and maybe some remoulade for dipping.  Here they had a pepper sauce that came with them and cheese melted atop the FGTs.  Not bad and nothing killed or overpowered the flavor from the FGTs.  However, I did wish that the pepper sauce had a bit more kick.  I cannot remember the name but the drink of the much was a peach based drink.  It was good and it was not just some peach flavored alcohol but it was made with peach puree.  They had me at peach when she ran through the specials.    For the main entrée it was the ribeye at a medium rare with fries and asparagus.   You get a choice of a bordelaise or garlic aioli to accompany your steak or whatever you want to dip in it.  Steak was cooked to the medium rare as I requested and that is a good start because we know there those places that consider what you ask for as just a suggestion.  Good flavor from the steak with no need for the sauce as I found out and I just enjoy asparagus.    Good experience.  Despite this being my first time here this place gave the vibe as a solid choice.  One of those places where when you are unsure of what you want but don't want to risk something new because you are hungry or with someone who cannot come to terms with their food desires.  This is a that old, trusted place you can rely on when you are hungry and good service.  A first experience that went very well.

Everyone love CAtfish Johnnys. The staff seemed afraid to be too nice and the manager literally told someone near me he cancelled all bands or did not book any rock bands or have any bands on Fridays because it brought in 'that crowd'. He wants to focus on Families and cut down on alcohol and certain appetizers that attract them. . There is that. Sooooo... Oh service was slow, we ordered three or 4 of the same exact item and all three came completely different. Shrimp was fried on one, Shrimp was cooked another way on the 2nd and Anyway the plates looked like completely different orders. The drinks were made the same- all different even when ordering the same drink. We did not complain as it clearly was not the servers fault. We will remember the manager pretty much insulted all previous patrons which includes a lot of people with boats and money and laughs. Although he wanted to focus on Families, I saw no more or any security or extra security around the water so do not expect extra safety for your children and there may have been but I didn't notice an expanded children's menu. I think the prices may have been higher too. Enjoy the new Knotted Marina and bring your own music you may not see any of your favorite oldskool bands. I normally get a Togo meal to bring home. I did not this trip. The manager may not have known he was talking to one of the bands that previously played there. I really used to love this place. We shall see

This was my first time experiencing this venue, and I honestly was pleasantly surprised. From being greeted at the door and shown to our table, ordering our food to even having our waitresses snap a few photo's to document our visit, I was very impressed with the staff's attentiveness and willing to offer suggestions, and see our food was prepared promptly, and to our tastes. We chose to visit during lunch, so I ordered the Philly Cheese steak sandwich which came with fries, and it was very tasty. My friend ordered the fish & chips, which he said was also very delicious, his wife ordered shrimp with hushpuppy's, and I tried one, that cinnamon butter sauce pairs very with with the hush puppy's. The atmosphere for a lunch crowd was very chill, some soft music playing in the background, but not overpowering to limit conversation, the staff was friendly, and the food was tasty, with decent portions, and more importantly - Reasonably Priced. I can't wait to return again soon, and bring some friends along to share a new spot to enjoy some terrific food at Liberty On The Lake.

It only allowed me to order through a food delivery service. I live 200 ft away so I was just gonna walk there and pick it up. If there was a way for me to order online without a delivery service, then it wasn't clear to me on the website. The food was okay at best. I got the fish n chips. It was good...not great...just good. Fish was fried well and the fries were tasty. The person at the desk who took my order and the girl standing beside her acted as if seeing me was the last thing they wanted to do that day. I placed the order, asked where to wait for the food, and one girl said "you can't stand right there, wait outside, sit at the bar...I don't care where you wait" in a very snide and rude tone. The person who brought the food to me asked my name, handed me the food, and walked away. I said thank you but she was just gone. I left saying "have a good day" and the host at the register just stared at me. From what I could see of the inside, it looked nice. Probably won't be back to see more of the restaurant. For a place of high esteem as Liberty Tap Room, it definitely failed me on the service portion. Major turn off for me.

Highly recommend.

Great choice it was delicious, but the food was especially remarkable, one thing about the crabcakes is the pickled vegetables done in house, wonderful flavor and especially the thickness of the slice and vegetable choice. The steak was very good. Although I'm from Montana, so I've got a little spoiled on good steak from home. Shrimp was cooked to perfection. Really amazing, people always overcooked shrimp. The ambience is open and big was a little too hot to eat outside but it's nice That such a wonderful restaurant had outside seating. One thing that really shined was the service. The bartender was a young lady who was in training. But she always had a big smile was unbelievably helpful and attentive. The key when training and learning something new to you is have a good attitude about it it always shines forward. I had management and multiple staff people check in and ask me how I was doing. Overall service was beyond words, especially the bartender in training, Katherine. One thing that's just a personal preference, I don't think high-quality steakhouses should use serrated blade knives. A good sharp steak knife cuts meat differently. A good steakhouse should take the time to sharpen and have a good knives. Serrated blade knives are for info-commercials

Celebrating my 39th Birthday and the choice is Chophouse of Chapin... 42 min drive but why not …read more.. The restaurant is very inviting giving a calm vibe.. Our reservation was at 4but we were stuck in traffic so we called to let them know and we were told to still come so that was very commendable. The restaurant decor is very nice I was intrigued by the lights and the openness. Our waiter was Jacob and he was amazing the entire evening. He loves his job and you can tell which makes the experience better. We started off with the Japanesefried chicken. Lightly breaded and seasoned nice starter that meet expectations. However there should be Yum Yum sauce on the side or in a little cup to be dipped.Next up were the Calamari frites. If you've other reviews I LOVE CALAMARI. I will say they were average nothing crazy amazing. I've had others else where and for the "expectation" of the restaurant I would have like to have more flavor. They also may have been slightly over cooked because they were a tad rubbery. That's one and done. Now for the main course I went with the 14oz Ribeye medium well with the mash potatoes. I was disappointed. Maybe because Jacob hyped the food up I was hype and the kitchen let him down. I can't lie the mash potatoes were good and Jacob got some type of au jus sauce I used for gravy. As for the steak it didn't give steakhouse vibes. Lacked seasoning and also for the price point I would like my steak to come out damn near sizzling lol. I was asked to test the temperature which it was cook perfectly. Jacob stated that there was a chef on staff so I expecting that level of an experience. (My wife ordered the catfish and stated that the grits was the star of the dish which it should have been the catfish she wanted me to let yall know that. ) For dessert we ordered the bread pudding and let's say I was a bit confused. It didn't look like normal bread pudding which is fine yall know how I like to try things . But the texture didn't do it for me. It wasn't nasty but it wasn't good either and transparency I finished it trying to figure if I liked it or didn't .... I know strange but it's real thing. Overall for my birthday it wasn't the dinner I expected because of how Chophouse of Chapin is advertised. I was expecting upscale dining and didn't get that. A steakhouse has to mandatory get one thing right the STEAK. For the price point and drive I wouldn't be able to do that ... 42min ... $170ish after the tip. I just expected more. But hey you be the judge. Till next time PS- For you all to have an employee like Jacob he kitchen has to match the expectation he sets. Thanks Jacob
