    Avocado Caprese

The place was packed, so I recommend doing pickup. We got the avocado caprese, bacon egg & cheese croissant, eggnog chai, and a latte. Everything was delicious and ready quickly! Can't wait to go back!

One of my favorite things about traveling is getting a chance to try new local coffee shops. Rustic roast caught my eye while I was in the Myrtle Beach area and I was really glad I stopped in. It has such a warm and welcoming vibe, almost like a neighborhood bookstore. The the staff was very helpful and patient while I looked over all the menu options. My cousin had asked me to see if they could make some thing close to a mocha Frappuccino, which they had no problem doing I opted for a brown sugar latte. Both of them were very good. I took them to go, but took my time looking around the adorable interior of this coffee shop. they also have a drive-through that appeared to be very efficient while I was inside. Big recommendation for this coffee shop.

Charged for Mayo...? Not a great way to show customer appreciation for a ~$7 breakfast wrap.

The food was good. My wife got the egg bacon and cheese croissant and we both had Americano coffees. I'm kind of a coffee snob but those was good coffee. We'll come again if we're in the area.

Coffee is always solid. Chorizo breakfast wrap is my go-to but good breakfast sandwiches too. Coffee cake is some of the best I've had.

Great coffee and exceptional service. Cute modern vibe. Easy to miss since it's not on a Main Street but definitely worth seeking out.

My wife told me it just opened back up again about a week ago. She had a southern style breakfast with eggs, bacon, potatoes, biscuit and sauage gravy. She particularly like the biscuit, and her only disappointment was that her bacon was overcooked (generally she likes crispy bacon so if she says it was overcooked, it definitely was). Her server was friendly and attentive, and inside atmosphere nice. Overall, she gad a very good experience.

I placed my order. When my order came the order was not complete because the cook did not read the ticket. The waitress placed the order correctly and when the order came out she noticed that was not correct. Thus I waited for then to make me another pancake. To complete my order .when it finally came the rest of my food was cold.I should have sent the meal back but I didn't.She did not charge me for the late pancake at my request. In the future the cook needs to read the ticket completely. So this doesn't happen in the future.

That spontaneous decision turned into one of our favorite discoveries. We had just moved from Virginia to Conway and were still getting a feel for the area, so everything felt new. The restaurant offered both indoor and outdoor seating, but the real draw? A peaceful view of the Waccamaw Riverwalk. Sitting outside, overlooking the water, we instantly relaxed--it was the perfect welcome to our new town. Then came the food--and wow. We were blown away. I ordered the seafood sampler loaded with shrimp, oysters, catfish, tater tots, and coleslaw. Every bite was fresh, flavorful, and incredibly satisfying. My wife went with the pulled pork dinner, complete with classic sides, pickles, and Texas toast. We swapped bites and couldn't stop raving about how good everything was--especially for the price. Coming from Virginia, I thought I knew BBQ--ketchup-based and familiar. But this was something else entirely. That rich, tangy mustard-based South Carolina barbecue completely changed my expectations. It was a delicious surprise that instantly made me a fan. Our waitress let us know they served brunch on weekends--so back we went. Same riverside view, same laid-back vibe, but a whole new level of indulgence. I ordered the Brunch Chimichanga--crispy, savory perfection--while my wife went all-in on the Brunch Burger: French toast, sausage beef patty, over-easy egg, bacon, American cheese, maple syrup, powdered sugar, and hashbrown casserole. Yes, it was as incredible as it sounds. Now, Bonfire Taqueria isn't just a place we tried--it's a place we return to again and again. Great food, relaxing views, and a welcoming atmosphere make it one of our go-to spots to unwind, sip a drink, and soak in everything we love about downtown Conway.

We ordered coffee, an omelet, and a scrambled egg sandwich. One of the things that attracted us was the restaurant's claim of being a scratch kitchen that uses premium ingredients. Unfortunately, our experience didn't live up to those expectations. The coffee was disappointing--watery and weak. We were told they grind their own dark roast beans, which led me to expect an excellent cup of coffee. However, if too little coffee is used when brewing the pot, even great beans produce weak coffee. That was definitely the case here. At $4.00 per cup, I expect a quality cup of coffee, and this one simply wasn't worth the price or frankly, any price. The omelet was ordered with bacon and caramelized onions. We specifically asked our server to make sure the onions were well caramelized, but they were not. Even more noticeable was the amount of bacon. It completely overwhelmed the dish--it felt more like bacon with a little egg than an omelet. Finally, the scrambled eggs on the sandwich weren't really scrambled at all. They were cooked as one solid sheet, more like a thin omelet. For a restaurant that specializes in breakfast, brunch, and lunch, consistently preparing eggs should be one of its strengths. I truly hope whoever oversees the kitchen takes these comments in the constructive spirit they're intended. The restaurant has a great concept and quality ingredients, but paying closer attention to execution and consistency would make a significant difference. I'd be happy to give Famous Toastery another try if these issues are addressed.
