I originally came here because I saw them on TikTok and was looking for a good matcha spot while in Myrtle Beach. They have oat milk, plenty of syrups, and lots of customization options. Honestly, the matcha wasn't my favorite part of the experience. I personally prefer a stronger, more intense matcha flavor, and this one was a little lighter than what I usually like. That being said, pretty much everything else was fantastic. The service was amazing from the moment we walked in. The place is beautiful, and even the music stood out to me. It just had a really good vibe overall. I also loved how extensive the menu is. I went for breakfast, but what caught my attention is that you can order pretty much anything at any time. It's not one of those places where you're limited to breakfast items in the morning. I ordered the Tropical Bowl, and wow. It was honestly one of the best meals I've had in a long time. The coconut lime rice was packed with flavor, the shrimp were cooked perfectly, and there was a sauce on top that tied everything together. The avocado was perfectly ripe, the seasoning was spot on, and the pickled onions and pineapple pico de gallo added so much freshness to the dish. Every bite just worked. I also learned that the owner attended culinary school in Cape Town, South Africa, and spent years cooking while traveling around the world. It was interesting to see how some of those global influences show up on the menu. Even the name "Lekker" comes from a South African word that's often used to describe something delicious or enjoyable, which felt pretty fitting after that meal. They also have pastries, specialty coffee drinks, brunch options, lunch items, and even cocktails. The menu is huge, and there's honestly something for everyone. I also tried a lavender latte with almond milk, and it was excellent. Between the food, the coffee, the atmosphere, and the service, this ended up being one of my favorite stops during my time in Myrtle Beach. Lekker has an amazing menu with a wide variety of options! I came in with my boyfriend and ordered the banana bread latte, the spinach artichoke dip, the kale caesar salad, and one of the sandwiches with parmesan truffle fries. The banana bread latte was not too sweet and I enjoyed the nuttiness of the drink paired with cold foam. I would order this again similarly with less ice! I also enjoyed the interior decor and plants- we even had a real plant with our salt and pepper shakers. The spinach dip with the real star of the show. I really enjoyed the whole pieces of spinach in with the hot cheese over bread as I was STARVING! Excellent appetizer. I ordered the kale caesar and my boyfriend got the sandwich. I thought the drink and app outshone these two items, but the salad certainly hit the spot with sweet potatoes, garbanzo beans, and dressing on the side. We sat here to do some work after eating and it was a pleasant ambiance with good service. Stopped by Lekker Eats for breakfast. We were greeted by a warm welcome and quickly seated at a comfy table. Service was friendly and the food was delicious. The restaurant atmosphere is cozy and comfortable, would suggest perhaps adding some low playing background music. We had the: potato wedges, apricot chicken salad, lion's head (sub for gluten free bun), biscuits and gravy, strawberry basil lemonade, oatmeal cream pie cookie and gluten free blueberry lemon poptart. Needs more staff, we ordered a crunchy salad, fried chicken sandwich and smash burger. Pretty disappointing all around. The burger isn't a smash burger, rather a thick burger with no temperature asked for. The fried chicken was the size of about two nuggets, barely any slaw, probably 50% bun to chicken and toppings ratio. Last few bites were just brioche and a pickle. Crunchy salad was enjoyed but the portion is half a salad bowl while the other half was a dressing ramekin. Mango ginger lemonade was refreshing. In total about 80$ for 3 people. 2 left hungry. Ambiance was nice but a quick lunch turned into over an hour. Value for money is an absolute dealbreaker. Sorry. read more

The owners are the absolute best and it shows with the food and drinks they serve!!! The food is SO fresh and has so many flavors that go so well together. Our table got a mixture of things and there were no complaints and don't even get me started on the craft cocktails! So so so good and unique!!!! The name appears to be South African, but the cuisine is global here, and the place stands out among the touristy surroundings for offering freshness and quality. Spoiled for choice, I split the difference between ordering a house veggie burger and a salad, and got a salad with a lentil pattie on it. The term "loaded caesar" kind of rubs me the wrong way; a salad either is a caesar or it isn't, but the result was delicious, whatever you call it. Their veggie burger was hearty, and the dressing was a flavorful vegan caesar. Ordering a chai with some coffee mixed in wasn't the best decision; the chai flavor gets overwhelmed. I really love this place for take out and now for brunch! I don't usually care for gravy but theirs in the biscuits are really yummy! Their Vietnamese coffee is so good with a homemade date vanilla syrup and coconut cream that's so so good and not too sweet! I tried their hush puppies waffles with chicken today and I it was a risk for me because I don't love hush puppies. The dish was still really good and the waffle was a good balance for the chicken! It's my second time getting the Kloof street which I really enjoy. The service is nice and attentive, I liked the music and I love to be in a cute environment as well while eating good quality food. I really appreciate a place that makes homemade syrups, lemonades and other things. They also have grass fed patties for their burgers! I can't wait to keep trying more things here! Great restaurant with tons of healthy, delicious menu options. From power bowls, grains, breakfast and lunch. The last time I went I had one of the most delicious grilled chicken sandwiches with avocado that I have ever eaten. It was plump and tasty. The server said they were trying something new and making each chicken breast from start to finish, when ordered. It was so good. They also have smoothies, desserts, gluten free and vegan options. They are only open for breakfast and lunch. They have eat in or take out. They also have a grab & go refrigerator. The service and atmosphere is also friendly and delightful. I've been a customer of Lekker Eats since they were in the early days of being at farmers markets. What I always love about this place is that I can trust the ingredients are high quality and good for me. I mostly go into the store for the grab and go options - with my personal favorites being the sweet potato chickpea stew & the homemade granolas. Truly some of the best health foods I've had & it keeps me coming back. I also very much enjoy their coffees because you can tell by the flavor that they are using fresh ingredients. My biggest disappointment is watching the extreme increase in prices over the years. While I can understand that the cost of food is rising & they continued to grow their overhead costs as they grew their space - it's frustrating to be charged $9 for a single latte. They up-charge $1 for ice and an additional $1 for their larger of 2 sizes. Genuinely, I would frequent this place more if it was affordable for the average person but for now I will just have to keep it as a place for a special treat. read more

The staff are very friendly! We had the ice tea half sweet and half unsweet and it was perfect. The chicken has great flavor but too over cooked. The brussel sprouts are very mushy if that's to your liking. I wish there was more than one seeded gluten free bread option. They were also sold out of all gluten free pastry options so I guess that's a good thing. I will probably return for a second chance. read more

Nice healthy dining option although there are still plenty of areas that aren't healthy at all. The iced honey latte is one of the best drinks I've ever tried but loaded with sugar. Scrambled eggs were delicious but a very small amount even though it shows two eggs. Bacon was very good but sourdough had been toasted too much and was hard and tasteless. We're from out of state, and so we didn't know what to expect- finding a really good place to eat isn't always successful! Haha. BUT, thus place???? DELICIOUS! Food was served pretty quickly, super hot and just PERFECT! I had the coconut ginger stew, and it did not disappoint! Slightly spicy, but not too hot! The food is fresh, fabulous and super yummy! Such wonderful GF and vegan options. My non GF/vegan husband enjoyed the Fernando - toasted cheese w/bacon and tomato soup. I think he would have licked the soup cup if we were at home. I had the Thai crunch salad with chicken, which was super fresh and the chicken was warm and moist. The ginger dressing complimented the salad well. The portions were generous. I had a decaf latte with oat milk that pared well with our dessert of cookies ( GF choco chip and double chocolate). The lamb burger bun was home made and delicious and the actual burger was beyond anything I'v e had. The soup was orzo was finished in a mili sec and as it was so outstanding. Grabbed a bag of the homemade granola to go which was outstanding. I am not a health food person but my son suggested this cafe and I am speechless! Super friendly employees and a TON of gluten-free and vegan options. You can pop in and grab something to go, or place an order and hang out inside. The place is small with not a lot of space, but if you want a quiet place to sit and chill, it's pretty nice. I will definitely go again. Hours are limited during off-season which makes it hard to get to before or after work, but I'm glad this place exists ...especially in a land full of fried chicken lol read more
