Kudos to the staff! I visited two days in a row...the first day was to take advantage of the National Flip-Flop Day special and the next day to get my free birthday smoothie. Both times, the restaurant had a steady stream of waiting customers. I was amazed that the staff remained calm under pressure and worked steadily to get all of the orders out. They were also professional and pleasant...making sure to greet customers as they entered. I always get the Thai chicken wrap and a green island smoothie so I know the food is good. (Or So I thought) But today I had a great experience with an employee. Allison was so personable and so patient when I couldn't make up my mind. She made awesome smoothies and she also gave me a treat for my sweet puppy. Thanks Allison! 5/5 on her service! I opened my wrap and it was such a mess, I had it in the bag for maybe 5 minutes, usually the wraps are great but It all fell apart and was completely soggy. Disappointed. read more

It was the first truly cold day of the winter season and it wasn't exactly super warm inside. Interesting chain store decor as they try for a worn out beach sorta feel, but it doesn't really work at all. I'd worry that the tables and chairs here wont hold up for long and the menus could be a little larger. I asked if they had wifi and the girl said no. She was wrong. Their wifi is strong and free just like 'merica! We used a bogo coupon from the attractions coupon book without any issue and I ordered the Ultimate Club toasted sandwich that comes with either a small bag of Miss Vickies brand chips, a piece of fruit, or a side of kale and apple slaw. This was priced at $7.09. My first impression of the sandwich I ordered was that it was quite small, but after I ate it I realized it was just big enough. I didn't eat the chips I chose and just saved them for later. My sandwich tasted pretty good and I liked the chipotle mayo (pretty mild), but I really wish they'd toasted the sandwich longer to melt the Swiss and parmesan cheeses on it. Flavor wise, it worked pretty well. I had time to look over their menu and found that their wraps, toasted sandwiches, and pressed sandwiches all come with a side item of your choosing. The quesadillas however, do not. Most sandwiches/wraps seem to run in the 7 to 8 dollar range and the quesadillas are 5 to 6 bucks per. My wife had a Cuban pressed sandwich, which I tried, and we both agreed it was better than the Ultimate Club toasted sandwich that I'd ordered. Their smoothies run from $4.09 up to about 6 dollars and only come in one size. They have proteins and other add ins you can augment your smoothie with if you so choose. They've also got a kids menu, a couple, two, tree vegetarian meal/sammich options, and a few breakfast items that they serve all day long. Very clean location including bathroom. I like they have a pick up station right at the front. The Baja chicken bowl was meh- I wouldn't order again. The smoothies all good. I liked the watermelon mojito- very refreshing! I don't think I'd eat there again but would definitely get a smoothie. read more

Sooooo a young woman at work came with a smoothie from here a few times and she always seemed happy with it. So when I wanted to change my diet I wanted to incorporate a smoothie for lunch everyday, which has worked for me in the past. I rode by one day and decided to try it and I was very impressed. The service was super freindly. I kept adding things and changing shake ingredients (I have allergies) The ingredients were fresh and the shake so smooth not clumpy at all. They offered me an edible lime straw that made it taste better and more fun to chew down. I went a week later and got a chicken pesto on a wrap ( Not a fan of pita) and the chicken fell apart. The smoothies are tasty , my daughter loves them . The food is just ok . Could be better, it used to be better with better wraps and side options. The biggest complaint and it's a big one is it is painfully slow. When they say tropic time , they mean clear your schedule because there is not sense of urgency. Ordered a Peanut Butter Cup smoothie via drive thru.. waited 20 minutes before even getting to the window. We were not apologized to for the wait or even offered a discount or coupon to come back. The PEANUT BUTTER smoothie had zero peanut butter in it and tasted like chocolate milk with large chunks of ice. We had them remake it and it took an additional 10 minutes. This has not been the first incident of incredibly long wait times and horrible customer service. Store called to let me know they didn't have any strawberries for my smoothie, which is fine! Sometimes you run out of products. However when I received my order every single wrap and sandwhich was made incorrectly (Some missing ingredients and some adding extra ones that didnt belong on the particular sandwich). The kale apple slaw also had no apples or carrots (so just a cup of kale). The Tropical Smoothie near CCU does a much better job and I hope their employees are able to help make this location better. read more

Absolutely horrible customer service. Asked about a particular drink to the nice lady over the speaker and drive thru and she was trying to ask what it was and then some boy came over the speaker with an attitude saying he's never heard of that and to pick something different or go to smoothie king. Unbelievable this is the type of service they give. Really must be struggling with hiring good help because this guy is going to send your customers to a competitor with his attitude and remarks. Very unprofessional, short and rude. He was working the drive thru today around 2-3pm and took over the intercom from some nice young lady who was simply trying to help figure out what we wanted. I had to reverse out of the line because I felt he would have done something to the drink and should have walked in to ask him why he would say go to smoothie king instead but I felt it was best to leave and never come back. I absolutely love tropical smoothie, but this experience was a disaster. Not only was the young male at the drive-through extremely rude, but our smoothies were watered down. The male that helped us at the drive-through line was ringing up our order and then said " I hate when people park far away from the drive-through" obviously talking about us. This was UNCALLED FOR. I apologized for parking farther from the window, but there is a literal brick wall that I could run into if I parked any closer. Overall I am not pleased with the service that was presented to me today. There were a couple girls who were the sweetest, but the manager I'm guessing a tall blonde man and some boy who took my order (I believe his name was Chris something) were just talking up a storm and not even trying to make my food. It took them about 20 minutes to make my one sandwich and smoothie, because they were carrying on with their conversation. I was extremely disappointed with the service and will never be coming here again! I love going to tropical smoothie. The one near my house doesn't have a drive thru, so I do like that this one has one. The inside is kept very clean and I like the decor. I always order a buffalo chicken wrap, and this location did not disappoint. I didn't have to wait long for my smoothie either even though there was a decent sized line. If I could have dipped out of line I would've. 7 cars behind me waiting for the same slow service. Never coming back. At the window I was asked 8 more times what I ordered.
