Slim Chickens - There was a live roach in the bag. Disgusting - Chicken Shop Near Me - Myrtle Beach, South Carolina

I went to this location on Dec 5, 2024 and ordered the Cayenne Ranch Chicken Sandwich Meal , it was $11 and some change. The piece of chicken in the sandwich was not much bigger than a nugget. You can see in the attached photo how much smaller it was then the already small roll. This is not a value meal and I suggest you only go there if you've already eaten at Chick Filet, Zaxby's or BoJangles. This place is to be avoided. read more

Been here so many times get the same thing chicken tenders 2 cayenne ranch and 2 slims sauce and It is just so much better than any chicken place I've ever had honestly I can't love without this place! Sweet tea is a bit bland read more

I'm surprised that this place has heavy traffic at times! The food was horrible. We thought that it wasn't 'fast food' but that exactly what it is. Just another version of a McDonald's. It was greasy fried chicken strips, limp lettuce and not much flavor. It was clean inside and the staff seemed very pleasant. read more

Filthy bathroom, no paper towels, no toilet paper and pee all over toilet seat and floor.

Not impressed. The potato salad is not special and is clearly not made fresh in house. Lots of bacon flavor and a mushy texture. The chicken sandwich had a bit of an odd taste-I'm not sure if it was that the oil it was fried in tasted a bit old or the honey BBQ had an odd taste. Either way, I didn't love it or hate it-it was just ok. The BBQ was really hard to even find a flavor for. My chicken sandwich had a big hunk of fat or gristle or whatever it was in the second bite, which was a bit off putting. The brioche roll was nice and fresh. Probably won't be back, and I work in walking distance. Confusing how to pick up online orders-there is an arrow pointing to the side counter yet the orders are on the other side and basically it looks like you have to stand in line to skip the line. The employee was not very pleased that I asked her about the process for picking up online orders and handed me my order with no smile and without a word. read more

Chicken is salty and Customer service poor. Not even close from Chick f - A. I would not go there again.

The just opened yesterday (10/20/24) finally! Been waiting for weeks and it was worth the wait! The service was great! Greeted by the associates as I walked in. The Ambiance was very nice and clean. The trainer helped me with the app because I got a free sandwich bydownloading the app! The Cajun/ranch chicken and it was perfect. Had some of that sauce for my fries! The food was hot and fresh! I will be back! Highly recommend this place! read more

Slim Chickens - Fries, Cajun/ranch sauce and Cajun Ranch chicken sandwich! Delish! - Chicken Shop Near Me - Myrtle Beach, South Carolina

I've ordered through the drive through 5 or 6 times since they opened and the food is pretty good.. BUT don't expect to actually get what you ordered. Every time I have picked up Slim Chickens for my family, someone is upset because of order issues. Missing sauces, incorrect items, missing items are all par for the course. Service is also slower than a drive through needs to be. Waiting 15 minutes for the wrong food feels pretty bad. Issues with my order today: - gave me a regular chicken sandwich instead of a club sandwich - my sandwich was missing BBQ sauce I ordered. - my sister-in-law's wrap was missing BBQ sauce. - my nephew's kids meal was "shaken" in hot bbq instead of honey bbq. It was way too spicy for him so he ate a poptart instead of the food we bought for him. - the blue cheese sauce we paid extra for was missing entirely. I'll be checking each item in my order before pulling away from the window from now on. Hopefully they can figure out the service issues because the food is good when it's right. read more

The food was well made and delicious. They are obviously going through their growing pains. The staff was ok, but didn't seemed sold out on their products, the bathrooms were filthy. I'd visit again but right now, it wouldn't be a priority read more

At the drive-thru, my wife was given the wrong debit card and her card was handed to another customer, creating a serious security and privacy issue. When this was brought to the attention of the on-duty manager, the response was dismissive, with the comment that the customer "usually brings the card back," suggesting this is a routine problem. The situation was highly inconvenient and stressful, yet despite the store's mistake, my wife was still required to pay for the meal. The lack of concern, accountability, and basic customer care shown in handling a clear financial security issue was unacceptable. read more

Waited 30 minutes in line and they forgot my sause and extra toast on my meal workers were very snappy when I asked to repeat my order and tenders were small as nuggets and burnt up read more

I'm going to start this review off by saying that I usually never post any review for anything good or bad but this case it's different. My son was having a mouth procedure done down the street that they said would take roughly an hour and the procedure was fished before the food was ever done! The only reason I gave 2 stars instead of 0 is because the lady at the window was nice. Also to add. They took the payment out in the line so they'd have no one drive out the line. Good idea, a little sneaky tho. just made me a little mad. read more

The wait was long but more importantly the chicken and waffles were nothing special to wait that long. It was bland.

Love this place and was excited for the opening. The tenders have always been great and the milkshake was really good. Definitely plan to frequent this location when in need of a quick bite to eat. read more

Horrible first experience here. Dull, soulless employees make their dining in sort of disheartening. I also had severe diarrhea shortly after eating the buffalo chicken mac and cheese (I also suffer from IBS but it rarely causes me diarrhea and it wasn't that spicy, so likey food poisoning). Avoid this place if you can, you'll find better food and prices anywhere else. read more

Got a 5 pc. chicken tender plate with 2 sauces, fries, toast and tea. They have a lot of sauces, I just got ranch and honey mustard. Several flavors of tea also, I had peach tea and refilled with regular sweet tea. The strips were large, had enough to take some home in a To Go box. I also got an extra side - potato salad. Every thing was just cooked, fresh and flavorful. Highly recommend!!!!! read more

Service was bad. First time there and the food came out all wrong. Cashier asked if I wanted free brownie or dessert jar then was told I had to pay for it. The manager was rude when we asked for refund. The tables were dirty and was told to go to another table... I do not recommend. read more

Seen the lady touching people food bare handed while waiting at the drive thru. 30 minute wait too. I didn't want the food nomore and told the manager and other staff member when I was at the drive thru window. She looked at me stupid. First time here won't be back read more

Visited restaurant for the second time since they opened on the 20th of October-2024, food is still very good, i have ordered the chicken sandwich, french fries, and fried Okra, all are excellent! I love the choice of free refill soft drinks, I recommend this location, I will return, very happy they chose Carolina Forest read more

Shoutout to the team working tonight. I did end up waiting an additional 20 min from when my online order said it would be ready. The sandwich was slightly wrong, but everything else with the order was ok. They seemed understaffed, or everyone left the older woman in a black polo to do everything for them. She was multitasking, jumping in the kitchen to get food out, than running orders herself.. she also was visible swamped, with more online orders coming in, and the line getting longer in the drive through. All while the girl at the counter definitely could have been more efficient and customer focused. I don't know if it was just an off night, or the team is missing some help/organization. But I've been to this location before and tonight was the longest wait, and worst food quality I've had from here. And for context, I walked in a couple minutes early for my online order pickup. At least 5 parties ordered AND received their food before my order of two combos and one side was ready, and I did the drinks myself.. read more

The food was fresh the milk shake was very smooth very natural taste I loved this place I would come back if I could

First time visitor, will not be back. Drive-thru order for the wings meal, the fries and ranch dressing were good. The chicken wings were hard as a rock and not edible. The toast was literally dripping in oil/butter. Disgusting read more

Great food, no complaints there. Only thing needing a serious change is staff. Wait times are extremely high. One kids meal is 2 tenders and fries- waited 20 minutes at the window?? Ridiculous. Attitude from staff and missing items often. As soon as management gets their staff to work better this could be a great FAST food place. read more

As with any new place they had a few kinks to work out but they seem to have done that quickly and efficiently. The food was great and the management seems to really care about the staff. My new favorite chicken joint! read more

I tried this new establishment in Carolina Forest two times over a 3 week period. After my second attempt today, I can say that the meal is consistently TOO SALTY. I thought the first time was a fluke. I ordered the same chicken club today and could barely enjoy it. I am not sure if it is the sauce or if the chicken itself if over-seasoned. The best I can describe it as is you are eating a pickle in a bun. The fries are just okay. The best part of the meal was the Strawberry Milk Shake. I don't think I will be visiting this establishment again. read more

I recently visited Slim Chickens, and while the service was good, the overall experience was just average. The staff was friendly and attentive, but the food itself left a bit to be desired. The chicken tenders, which are a main item on their menu, were more like small chicken nuggets in size and didn't have the juicy, tender texture I was expecting. Additionally, they charge extra for any additional sauce, which was a little disappointing, especially since sauce is a big part of the flavor experience with tenders. Overall, not a bad spot, but definitely room for improvement in terms of food quality and portions. Fries tasted like McDonald's, chicken tasted frozen from the grocery store, sauce tastes like in n out and bread tastes like warm garlic bread. Nothing special. read more

Horrendously slow service. Extremely late on the order that I put in for pickup online. Waited in the long drive thru line to be told I had to go inside to pick up my online order. Put some instructions and adjust the time to when you can actually deliver the food. I don't care that you're a new restaurant and I don't care that it's busy. Set expectations and estimate accurately. Poorly run business all fried trash food also. read more

service is horrible slow ash was in the drive through for over 15 minutes snappy people
