I got the Recovery Smoothie, which was a next-level strawberry banana smoothie. The price was $14, which was surprising (I am from NYC and that is what smoothies cost in midtown Manhattan). Literally spent $20 on a smoothie bowl--insanely overpriced. While the smoothies and bowls are still good, the pricing policies have become frustrating. Swapping almond milk for coconut water now costs an extra $2. The same upcharge applies if you swap almond milk for cold brew. For a simple substitution, that feels excessive. Almond milk doesn't work for me due to oxalates, and the only "equal" swap offered is oat milk, which is highly processed and high glycemic. Coconut water, while not perfect, is the best option for me--yet it still comes with a $2 upcharge. At that point, the total is almost $20 for a smoothie bowl, which I can't justify. The quality is still there, but between the high base price and extra charges for basic swaps, I don't go nearly as often anymore. read more

This is a hidden gem offering a variety of healthier food and beverage options. It is such a cute spot. Well thought out from an interior design perspective. We were looking for a healthier alternative to fast food and this place had top reviews. We tried the açaí bowl, hot golden latte and the avocado toast. Everything was delicious. The açaí bowl was super fresh and filling. Not too sweet just the perfect bowl. The golden latte was piping hot. It had a strong coconut flavor from the mct oil that I enjoyed. I usually like my latte a little sweeter so next time I'll either add my own sweetener or ask for extra. It's really hard to mess up avocado toast in my opinion. This version comes with a few slices of cucumber that give it a nice crunch. It also has red pepper flake sprinkled over it giving a nice mild spice. It's a nice size portion with the right amount of avocado. The sourdough is a mild version so not too tangy. This has inspired me to started adding red pepper flake to my own homemade toast. I live nearby and have walked by many times, and felt like giving them a try this morning, and I was very pleasantly surprised. It's small, but a really fresh, vibrant, clean atmosphere inside. I have never even considered writing a review about avocado toast before (I've had it maybe 3-4 times in my life), and here I am. It tasted so fresh. Like, right out of the garden (and ocean) fresh. Like melt in your mouth fresh. Granted, it was on the pricier side at about $15 for 2 big slices. And I'm sure the price of Market Common rent doesn't help them bring their prices down. But then again, let's be honest, literally everything is expensive nowadays. All that to say, I'll be back for more again soon. read more

I wanted to write this review mainly for the avocado toast. As simple as it is, it's very easy to mess up (soggy bread, over processed avocado, no flavor etc) however, this was not the case here. My avocado toast (not pictured because i ate it in 5 seconds) was absolutely delicious. Spot on with the two slices of crispy sourdough, topped with flavorful avocado drizzled on is some olive oil, hot pepper flakes and then a couple pieces of cucumber. When you're traveling, it's really hard to find a place who can make matcha, but they nailed it. The beautiful matcha was quite delicious, just like I make mine. The juices were too watery and didn't feel like I was getting the nutritionally value like when I cold press the vegetables/fruits at home. This shop is very cute, a few things to note. 1. limited street parking. its narrow and tight. lots of shop and not much space. 2. shop is super cute and vibrant inside! It is however also very small. My husband and I came in there was a party of 3 in there already waiting for their food. My husband and I came in and it felt extremely tight. So just know this is not really a hang out type of place. Its more of a grab and go type of location. 3. the prices are really pretty high. I dont believe i have ever paid $15 for a smoothie before....... 4. The staff was friendly and accomodating. I found I did not really want any of their actual smoothie combos. I was just hoping for a simple green smoothies - berries, greens and almond milk. Most of their smoothies had supplements, almond butter and a variety of other things. They did have fresh juices as well but not sure if they were freshly made or in a bottle. They were able to accomodate me and just make me a green smoothie. 5. Be sure you have some time to kill when you come in as it did take awhile for them to make my order. It probably felt even longer since we were all kind of crowded in there. 6. they seemed to open earlier than most of the smoothie/fresh juice shops in the area so that is a plus to them. read more

I made the grave mistake of adding lavender to my matcha drink felt I was eating a bunch of flowers. I couldn't get the taste of the oil out of my mouth it was intense and overpowering. I took one soo and had to throw away. Unfortunately I didn't have a great experience. I'm sure the other items there were absolutely delicious. I needed a juice spot for my green juices. So glad that place is open here in MB. Parking isn't too fun in the Market Commons but it's around you just have to search.
