This location ranch is easily accessible via Placerita Canyon, off the 14 Freeway. Rancho Deluxe, is a beautiful property with stunning views of the surrounding mountains, and it's filled with all sorts of older set pieces, vintage vehicles and some livestock including cows and horses, also keep an eye out for Deer in the mountains. A highlight of working at Rancho Deluxe was walking around the property and exploring the old sets like old set homes, a cemetery or the western town, It was just like stepping back in time to the Wild West! There are also a variety of other filming sets located on the ranch. A Military Base, Palace Saloon, different era Shoot Homes, storefronts, and older farm homes that have been preserved and restored to their original appearance, there is also a small lake and a flowing river cuts through the entire property. At some points you may have to drive through the river if it rains to get to your set location. Rancho Deluxe is mostly used for TV shows, movie productions, commercials and reality shows, but this location also makes great opportunities for photography and special events, such as weddings or corporate events. The picturesque scenery and unique ambiance make it a great location for capturing memorable photos or hosting an unforgettable event. Overall, after spending almost a week filming here I had a fantastic time at Rancho Deluxe, it can be cold in the mornings in the winter but warms up in the afternoons, when the sun comes out. Also, if you'r there when it rains it gets very muddy, wear proper footwear, boots or all terrain shoe works best. I would definitely recommend this location to anyone who loves old west movie sets, beautiful scenic views and unique locations, this is definitely the place to go!

The ranch is within the zone and rush hour traffic is usually flowing in the opposite direction. There is a Starbucks located at the Sand Canyon Exit for clients to utilize / production assistants to grab hot coffees for the filming crew. The movie ranch also can provide water trucks and can sculp the landscape to a production designers whims. I look forward in returning to Rancho Deluxe again and again.

Not sure about people's nonsensical complaints, but yes.... this is located near a rural highway, but it wasn't busy or inconvenient. Also, yes, they were generous to provide a free shuttle service from your parking spot to the entrance in a golf cart, which we really appreciated because we didnt have to walk in the heat, which is the obvious alternative. The tickets are a great price, especially knowing that it ultimately goes back to help the animals. Some people seem to be confused on the nature of this establishment. It is not a traditional "petting zoo" -- its an *animal sanctuary*. (Which is well disclosed everywhere, if you just take a moment to read a little bit, you'll clearly understand that). Their whole point is to rescue farm animals from cruelty and *slaughter* -- so it seems like common sense that a place that literally rescues farm animals from being slaughtered would also, of course, oppose slaughter and therefore, support veganism. Not complicated to comprehend if you just think it through a little. Obviously, it wasnt forced anyway -- it was just offered incase people were interested. No pressure. All of the volunteers we encountered were incredibly sweet and knowledgeable. You can tell theyre genuinely passionate about animals. They enforced the boundaries of the animals well, while keeping things fun and safe for everyone. Awesome facilities, very clean, and well planned. We arrived to find parking along a busy highway (?!?), with golf carts shuttling visitors to and from the entrance, just a few feet away from cars whizzing past. That was weird. Then we got to the sort of holding area where they keep guests until their reservation time. Before we went in, the owner came out to greet us...sort of. She gave us a basic history of the place, but before she did, she wished us "happy pride" and told us all about how virtuous she was, as if everyone should be celebrating? Weird and inappropriate to say the least. The last thing she did before allowing us the entrance we'd paid handsomely for, was to lecture us about becoming vegans. Which is one of my biggest pet peeves about vegans to begin with. Then she stood at the entrance and offered everyone literature on veganism as we walked past. I declined. Wholly inappropriate, offensive and off putting. I didn't pay to be lectured about something I disagree with. It was nice to (finally) see and interact with the animals, but some of the volunteers were too much. I understand they're used to dealing with idiots every weekend, but some of the instructions they were giving were flat out dangerous, like having babies (maybe 18 months old) feed carrots to grabby, nippy horses. Bad idea when little hands aren't any bigger than the carrots. Most (not all) volunteers were just a bit too power trippy and under-educated for my taste. I will say the facilities were pretty clean and appeared well kept, but the horses and donkeys were filthy and in dire need of grooming. Give your visitors brushes and curry combs and show them how to brush the animals. Win-win for everyone. It was nice to hang out with the animals, but most of the people I could do without. Probably won't be back again.

Boga ranch was a very exquisite place and I took my family's horses here. They went through some…read moreintense training and they came back home to knowing a lot more. They told me that they had a lot of fun and they would like to go back again. I took my kids and Mr. Boga taught them on how to go on the horses, what to do, and they even took them on a little test ride so they can learn how to horseback ride. Every amazing place and would highly recommend for anyone, especially kids.

It is a lot of fun, with cowboy cooking in dutch ovens, to clothiers selling authentic cowboy clothes from the 1880's, to the fastest draw in town. All that and cowboy poetry, and cowboy songs, bands, and singers plying their trade, it makes for a great event. It is $10.00 for parking and a ride to the park on their very efficient shuttle. There is also a small civil war contingent that camps on site. There is lots to see, eat and do.

It's also the place where Standard meets his ill-fated demise and falls victim of several shotgun shells to the side of the neck and back. While the Cash & Coin Pawn Shop sign in front looked very authentic in the movie, I was quite disappointed that this makeshift Pawn Shop turned out to be the Elks - Santa Clarity Lodge #2379, where Boy Scout meetings are held every Tuesday, BINGO is played every Thursday and Sunday. While I was let down that this place wasn't real like some of the other scenes in the movie, I do believe this brotherhood plays a vital role in small close-knit communities - which Canyon Country is. Another amenity of this Elks Lodge is that free Wi-Fi is available throughout the lodge, patio and RV camping area. In case you were wondering what B.P.O.E. means on all the Elks standard, it's an acronym for The Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks. The benefits for being an Elk are discounts on auto and home insurance, discounted vacations, wireless savings, prescription savings, and much more for Elks Members, their families and businesses.
