I went on a tour here recently because I just got engaged and we are still looking at our options for a wedding, but I wanted to leave a outstanding review for here because everything was so well thought out, the venues the details and most importantly the wedding planner Lena she is absolutely amazing. She makes sure everything is stress free and goes according to plan and has everything a stressed bride would forget about! PLEASE READ BEFORE BOOKING I want to start by thanking Blomgren Ranch for allowing us to host my niece's quinceañera. It was a very important milestone for our family, and the venue itself is beautiful. I believe in giving credit where it's due. However, I also feel a responsibility to be honest and transparent about our experience so that others are fully informed before making such an important decision. From the beginning, communication seemed positive. Elena presented herself as understanding and supportive, and we were reassured that she and her team would be present to ensure everything ran smoothly on the day of the event. Unfortunately, that was not our experience. As the event approached--and especially on the day of--the level of professionalism declined significantly. Elena and her staff became extremely difficult to work with, and the tone shifted to one that felt unprofessional, dismissive, and at times confrontational. What initially felt like a supportive partnership quickly turned into a stressful and overwhelming experience. There were several organizational issues that added unnecessary stress. Despite providing vendor information well in advance, we were contacted the day before the event requesting additional details, leaving us to handle last-minute coordination ourselves. Two of the tables were not placed where they were supposed to be, which caused confusion during setup. Our designer had a difficult time arranging the table numbers because she was following the seating chart provided by the venue manager, but it did not match how the tables were actually set up. Additionally, the plates we personally purchased were never given to the catering team, which created further complications. Another concern was with our musicians, who traveled all the way from Las Vegas. They arrived an hour early but were asked to leave and return at 3 PM for setup. This was extremely inconvenient, especially considering the distance they traveled. During the event, multiple instances of inappropriate conduct occurred. Our vendors were spoken to disrespectfully and, at times, yelled at instead of being communicated with professionally. Our guests were also impacted. Some were reprimanded for arriving early, told how to drive, and in one instance, a guest was physically pushed. This behavior was not only unacceptable but also deeply embarrassing for our family. There were also key details that were never communicated in advance--such as guests needing to retrieve champagne for the toast themselves rather than it being served--taking away from a meaningful and planned moment. To make matters worse, at the end of the night, all of our party favors were thrown away without anyone asking us. These were items we had carefully selected and paid for, and discarding them without our knowledge or consent was extremely upsetting. Better communication and organization by Elena would have made a significant difference in ensuring a smoother and less stressful event. This was meant to be a once-in-a-lifetime celebration for my niece. Instead, it was overshadowed by poor communication, lack of organization, and unprofessional conduct. Based on our experience, I would not recommend this venue unless there are significant improvements in professionalism, communication, and client care. I sincerely hope this feedback is taken seriously so that no other family has to go through what we experienced on such an important day. read more

I was the photographer for my client. I arrived early to photograph the venue before the guests arrived but Elena would not let me in until the actual event start time, when all the guests arrive, which defeats the purpose! So I waited for 50 minutes outside the closed gate until the event start time--3PM, at which point Elena informed me that it would be 20 more minutes before she can let me in, because the family is not here yet. Elena is the owner, but she has TERRIBLE customer service skills! She was very rude from my first encounter. When speaking with her she basically has the attitude, it's my way or the HWY. When trying to engage further, she simply says that's the way it is, then turns around and leaves. I also asked to park my car close to the hall, so I can have quick access to my equipment, but she refused, and made me park down the hill from the hall. So I had to walk back & forth several times, about 200-300 yards, up & down the hill in the sun, to get to my car. I even had the client talk to her to allow my to park closer, but she refused. Half way through the event however I had enough walking, and I ended up parking where I wanted to anyway. The ridiculous rules that she has in place makes you feel like you're in a corrections facility. Many RIDICULOUS do's & don't s. I spoke to 4 different guests there who dealt directly with Elena and they all had the same reaction, saying that she was "...rude and hard to work with..." One person called her a *****. I've been doing this for 15+ years, never had I encountered an owner/manager of a venue that treats their guests the way Elena does. Not even close! I don't know how she stays in business. Blomgren Ranch was truly a dream come true!!! Blomgren had plenty of options that we didn't look anywhere else. Elena really shared the excitement of our vision and brought it to life. Elena was well organized and her experience in the party industry took stress off of us. On the day of the Quinceanera we did a walk though before the guest entered. WOW, it was amazing!!!! The lush green lawn, the tables, lighting, florals, decorations, ect., made it better then we envisioned. My daughter was amazed at how everything came together. We trusted Elena suggestions and we have no regrets. The staff was awesome. I'm glad Elena and security ran a tight ship because all the teenagers and young kids running around were safe and had an amazing time. Elena was great working with the vendors and help solve an issue or two that came up. My family and I are so grateful to Elena for walking us through the planning. Blomgren Ranch is a gorgeous venue in SCV that I would recommend to everyone. We had our local high school reunion there last month. We were able to use the barn which would hold 300 people had we had that many attend. We ended up with 160 people in the barn comfortably with lost of space inside and outside. What a great location for a more relaxed and fun vibe that should come with a reunion. The owner Elena is a cool woman but you have to realize this is her business and she runs it by the book. She is very helpful when it comes to making decisions and she is extremely responsive with all questions. Yes there are rules at this venue and I knew this before hand so it was my job to make the rules clear to everyone... after reading reviews I realize a few people complaining are not the people who were in charge of the event and because of this they may not have been told about the gate restrictions or wifi codes, etc. That blame needs to be put on the person in charge of the event and not the Ranch itself. There is no cell service driving into the venue so if you need to be at the gate at a certain time you need to be there. Dealing with the gate time has to be discussed with everyone in the planning process but having the gate helped me know noone was going to "crash" the party. The person running the event has the say in who gets in that gate and what time. So if security isn't letting you in the gate, that is on your event planner. You cannot show up to the gate at an off time and expect to get in. The venue itself contacts all your vendors and plans times/days that they will be delivering or showing up. This helps so much when planning an event because it's one thing I didn't have to deal with. Security was mentioned in a past post and this venue has their own security and parking attendants. We did not have to hire out. You cannot park up next to the Barn venue when an event starts. You can bring your cars to the venue for pre-setup and then you move your car to the parking lot where you are then driven by a golf cart back up to the venue. This venue has 3 locations you can host an event at and you have to drive by them to get to another which is why people can't come in and out as they please. They are great with directing cars, parking cars and loading up large golf cart type vehicles to bring your guests to the correct venue. It makes it a fun experience. When the event ends they have a cleanup crew ready to go and help for a quick cleanup experience. I am so happy we did out event here and thanks Elena for helping me through this whole process. As nice as this place looks the environment and the service was horrible. First thing first my three kids were in the back seat 6,4 and 2 the worker who let us in STUCK HIS WHOLE HEAD IN MY CAR TO MAKE SURE I WASNT LYING ABOUT HOW MANY PEOPLE WE WERE !!! Recently attended my husbands Christmas party at "the Barn" at Blomgren Ranch. It was decorated with just enough. It was spacious and just a beautiful location. Yes the are fancy port-a-pottys but is a barn on a farm..not a hotel...which btw was 2x more$. I am so grateful to Elena Blomgren! As in the beginning of the party my heels on my fairly new shoes popped off! Omg I couldn't get them back on. I was in my (bright red) socks with no shoes! Elena To the rescue with a new pair of pearl white flip flops from a precious wedding! Elena was attentive the entire time -checking in frequently to make sure everything was running smoothly! Beautiful venue! But like the reviews said beautiful disaster. My sister got married here, I had worked a wedding here a couple years back as a vendor. Didn't have a problem but once we were the people having an event I couldn't be more disappointed. Planning special life events should be fun! Getting to help a bride and family on their special day is something I absolutely love and not seeing that makes me wonder why they are even in this business. No service, okay fine but when you get there the call box is an absolute no and then I was told to not bother calling the office cause they won't be in there. Okay fine. Less attitude and just come open the gate cause we are here and I had no other way of getting in contact than the number right in front of the gate with the one area I was able to get one bar of service? Wi-Fi is only given to the bride and groom, they didn't get it until I had to ask 3 hours being there and then being told she texted it to my sister with attitude. How was she going to get that text with no service? LOL It's not even about the not getting it, it's the attitude you get when you ask anything. Like they try and belittle you. So inappropriate and unnecessary. They then told us they won't be available to anyone cause they are going on lunch off site..... When you have an event, someone needs to be available to the bride, I'm sorry that's part of your job right? Also the security is excessive, I get it better save than sorry but the bullet proof vests was a bit much. The rest of the staff was okay to me but I didn't love being told by multiple guest how rudely they were treated that night. I mean come on people!! When you have other vendors and the guests and personal experiences that are negative, something isn't working... I don't like writing negative reviews I just hope they can fix what obviously is an issue and if they don't I hope people read the reviews before booking cause we didn't. read more

We met with Elena a few times before our wedding and she was so helpful in executing our vision. She worked with us to coordinate with our vendors and always was quick to respond to our questions. ELENA is a "manager" at the ranch, the most unprofessional, rude, racist, and ignorant person to have worked with and spoken with at Blomgren Ranch, she should be fired for the altercation we had today. This place is so unorganized, they have so much to do and are so busy yet ELENA stays yelling for over 10 minutes to a florist over a gate to deliver floral arrangements. She had yelled, did not let the florist speak and made racial comments saying "we don't do that here" is so disrespectful. I'm a manager of a hospital dept. and this was not okay to speak to anyone, when accused her of being a racist and unprofessional she was laughing, she does not belong in a manger position. BEAUTIFUL DISASTER - is the best way to describe this place. It's a beautiful venue, but the staff takes their job way too seriously, as if you were dealing with high profile celebrities! They make you feel like you're in somebody's home, but they want you to leave already. Let me explain: The wedding is scheduled to start at 4pm, so naturally, everyone starts to show up between 3pm and 4pm. This includes the photographers, DJ, music band with their instruments and speakers, sound guys, cake vendors, flower arrangement vendors, videographer, and important "key people" involved in the wedding ceremony. So, you pull up to the main gate, and you're greeted by security guards in a very rude demeanor. They immediately make you feel like you are completely at their mercy. They tell you that they are at "full capacity" at the moment, and that the gates will open until 4pm. When you explain that you have a key role in the wedding ceremony, you are told they will not let you in until 4pm. "But, the wedding starts at 4!" They don't care at all! "Can you please ask your supervisor?" They realize you're gonna give them a hard time, so they call another security guard with a gun attached to their hip. They sll have the same dumb attitude, and treat all the guests like peasants. At this point, everyone realizes that the security guards are all power-hungry! It's like they're having a pissing contest, but nobody ever wins. Sound guy: he brings in his small sound board to run sound during the ceremony, and "a person in charge," because it seems like everyone is heavily in charge there, tells the sound person that the small 2' x 2' table he's using to place said sound board, was not in the contract because it is considered "furniture" that was not previously talked about. ARE YOU KIDDING ME??? Porta Potty: they don't have actual restrooms for the guests to use. Instead, they have these fancy porta potties (they're still portable potties), that you feel like you're taking a dump in an airplane's restroom. Escort: they feel like they have to escort you for every little BS thing. You simply feel like they're breathing down your neck at any given moment. It's so dumb and unnecessary! This venue has so much to offer, but the staff really is going to ruin this business in the long run. It's run by a bunch of people with a power trip. Everyone who has had to deal with their staff has agreed about this issue. They make you feel like you're in somebody's home, but they want you to leave already. read more

AVOID at all costs. ELENA - whatever her title is there - is the rudest, most unprofessional person I've ever dealt with. She only cares about getting her money. Super super overpriced btw. She lies, gaslights clients, and constantly requests the same documentation over and over, making it seem as though you're constantly out of compliance with her preferences. Obviously when planning an event, this is the last thing you want. It's pouring rain outside, and the elderly who cannot safely walk to and from the outdoor restroom have been using the indoor restroom. WITHOUT NOTICE TO ANYONE, this monster locks the restroom. Then she has the audacity to lie and say it's not locked (clearly locked and inaccessible). And finally, she blocks the only other entrance, and without any knowledge of a 3 year old's condition, makes the child's father carry him running outside in the pouring rain to get to a restroom in time. 2 days before my kids 4th birthday party, she tells us vendors need to bring their own electrical supply. When confronted, she says "only if it's over 120." Yes. That's standard. Makes up nonsensical reasons about why one vendor can use electricity but another cannot, despite the same electrical requirements. As I entered the property day of, she greeted me by saying "only one out of your 6 vendors are here, so what time are you expecting your guests?" No hello. Nothing else. I ignored her, drove up to the barn to find absolutely everything ready. This woman is miserable and tries with everything she has in her to make those around her just as miserable. I told her I would've paid their absurd 10k fee twice over, if only to guarantee she wouldn't be present at the party. I meant it. STEER CLEAR. STAY AWAY. There are tons of gorgeous ranch venues with human beings running the place. read more

I had the unfortunate opportunity of attending an event here recently. The venue requires renters to use their own security and parking staff. These people were not only totally rude and unwelcoming to every guest, but incapable of running a smooth event. The obnoxious ego by the woman in charge and her need for total control and dominion over her staff and the guests caused the event to start late, people to not be able to get in and access the event, and a general frustration amidst the hosts, vendors, and guests. The venue itself is rustic and cute but nowhere worth the money they are charging. It is way out of town, far from everything, with no cell phone service, no wifi, and no access to any technology. The bathrooms are a trailer of porta-potties and the parking field is far away from the venues, such as the Barn, and not well kept. We watched a car almost lose their bottom from trying to get out of there. The security company / parking was nowhere around to help guide traffic out, because they were making themselves busy creating problems for the hosts that didn't exist. A few other issues we experienced: security actually yelled at guests upon arrival if they didn't know the name of the event, made several young women cry when demanding a "password" that wasn't provided, turned away important dignitaries who didn't appear on the list, wouldn't allow vendors to drive up to the event location before the event, forced the drummer to move his car that was tucked away behind the portajohns, even though he had to load and leave very quickly, wouldn't allow hosts and vendors to unload after the event until all guests were gone, harassed renters about "not following the rules" when someone asked to drive up and unload, even though they didn't make any 'rules' known to the renters and seemed to be making up more and more things to feed their own egos and power trip. There are MANY beautiful venues for weddings and special events in LA County and Santa Clarita Valley. Don't waste your time and money on Blomgren Ranch, unless they allow you to hire your own security and parking team. The total incompetence of these people will ruin your entire event. If it's meant to be a special night, keep looking. It's not possible to have a smooth and special event here with the way things are currently being operated. read more

The venue is nice, and with good weather is an excellent spot for a wedding. The DJ that the facility will recommend for your party is the reason this is a one star review. He would not have been picked, but Blomgren Ranch recommended him, so they get the bad review. Unless your party is gangster rap and Wet A#$ P()*&y crowd, the DJ will not be able to play anything you want. The dance floor was EMPTY the entire night and people left early strictly because the DJ sucked so bad. When asked to play more party, dance, anything to get people on the floor, he didn't have any with him. He never once looked at the crowd, but wore his headphones and gangster rapped to himself all night. He was terrible. The DJ can make or break a reception. read more

Just attended a wedding here. This is a beautiful venue! The scenery was nice and the indoor space we use (The Barn) was super cute. Security was helpful in escorting guests back and forth from the parking to the venue. I would have loved to have given this place more than three stars, but what absolutely killed the experience were the incredibly rude and arrogant bartenders. It was like they were being tortured in being there, absolutely no attempts by them (particularly the older thin man with the skinny eyebrows) to greet or converse with guest. Like not even a "hi, what can I get you". We were actually made to feel very uncomfortable ordering drinks. Almost every guest I spoke with had the same experience. Beautiful spot, horrible experience. Heard horror stories from everyone I spoke to about the location. Staff laughs together and makes inappropriate comments on the phone calls as well as during rehearsal and the event. I am a people person - I can usually adjust when I just get the feeling we're unwelcome. However, trying to work with someone who continuously throws curveballs, works against your schedule, and acts like they don't know what's going on after a year of planning and regular communication is frustrating to say the least. Again, gorgeous venue (here's the BUT)- the gate isn't open on time, the call box isn't for the venue, there's no cell service, and if you reach the office you'll be scolded for calling the office because "they'll be out on the grounds all day". Grass is muddy, parking is in the dirt, and the hill will kick your butt if you miss the little trolly. DJ and Bartender were interesting choices. The DJ (sigh) he had a huge mishap and skipped an entire song (there were only 3 scheduled) took it amongst himself to target one small group of 4 kids the entire night and play mall cop, and tended to play the same song, on the same tempo the entire night. Spent very little time at his table actually DJ-ing and took no cues from the crowd to switch up the music when the dance floor was empty. Last 10 mins were his best. The bartender(s) announced to the guests that they'd be taking a break - from my understanding there are two of them so that their breaks are covered, totally inappropriate to tell the guests you're both going on a break at the same time. She, at least, had good vibes and a pretty good attitude with most of the guests. If this place and staff can really change their attitude towards people or hire a friendly coordinator, better DJ, more professional staff that would really change the dynamic of the venue. It feels as though they have a dusty pile of gold and don't care to dust it off and let it shine!! read more

My family hosted a party this weekend. The venue and location is nice but I have never witnessed bartenders like these two last night. They were incredibly rude with everyone. They made faces would not even look you in the eye or acknowledge you they acted like they were serving alcohol that they bought when in fact that was not the case. Everyone that attend the party felt this way and it was a huge disappointment. They made smirky comments and degraded you right there. They wouldn't provide lemons with their drinks and then yelled and got upset when somebody would grab a lemon for themselves. Not nice at all. We had been there for an hour or so and so many people were upset because these bartenders were just mean miserable people. If there is the option of having your own bartenders I highly advise because these people will make you feel bad and try to ruin your night. read more

Let's keep it simple. You look at the other reviews and you weigh the pros and cons and you think well that won't happen to us right? I saw these reviews and I was persuaded to still book my wedding here because my in laws had an amazing 50th anniversary here. What I didn't know at the time was that fact that ELENA BLOMGREN AND ADDISON (SOON TO BE BLOMGREN) were now running things. They did not host my in-laws anniversary. The facts are - Elena would not let the bartenders and catering staff serve apple cider to each table and champagne for the toast at the bar. I wasted over $300 worth of untouched champagne and apple cider even though I followed Elena's instructions to the tee. They did not put a table upstairs in the barn even though I paid for that table and 4 seats. I asked Addison 3 times and she said that her staff would set it up after lunch. The wedding started and I looked up and there was no table so 4 of my guests who were also the photo/video team and DJ/MC (close friends) had no seat and had to eat in my bridal suite. Unbelievable. Elena did not let my guests in at the agreed time - 3:30pm so the guests were waiting in a huge line to get into the property. MY HUSBAND WAS NOT ALLOWED IN BEFORE THE GUESTS. HE HAD TO WAIT AS WELL. Elena will not let the groom in and additional family members who are walking in the ceremony in before the guests. So therefore you will not have time for family photos or like us BRIDE AND GROOM PORTRAITS or a first touch. Elena threatened my family who was decorating the entire event. Saying if they did not purchase insurance they would not be let in the front gate and onto the property and they only had 30 mins to set up if they do not purchase insurance. If I'm already paying over $14k for a venue why are my family members not allowed to help me decorate? It's beyond my comprehension. Elena wants to only deal with expensive vendors. I rented a huge moving truck to make the gate situation easier and came to the venue at 8am and was trapped on the property until the event ended because they said if I left they would not let me come in and out. So I couldn't even go out to buy food. Addison would come in and ask me questions instead of the lighting guy and other professionals that were there. Like "Are they going to gaff that?" How am I supposed to know. I politely told her to ask the lighting guy. She also came into my suite multiple times and counted each person so loudly. Idk who told her to do that, but it was very obnoxious. While I was taking pictures, Addison kept complaining to me that my niece was playing on the prohibited playground instead of telling her mom who was standing right there. Literally as I was posing for a photo. She did lend me her jacket so that was nice. All in all, I know Addison is just following the directions of Elena but Addison was equally as difficult. Also, please note I had multiple conversations and a plan in place that Elena agreed to that she did not uphold. I would not recommend this venue to anyone in the future. My event was beautiful by God's grace and despite Elena and Addison. Hector did amazing job with the food and Jesse was an incredible DJ/MC. SOS Entertainment with the beautiful lighting and our family and friends who did all the decorations and desserts. Elena did not care that this was our family's second event at the Ranch. She doesn't care because it's her family's ranch. All of this is just extra income. Please just find another venue. The complaints are real on here. read more

Save the headache, don't even bother with this venue. Even tho this is a beautiful place, the owner Elaina & Addison especially have the worst most unprofessional attitudes. They will make you feel uncomfortable any chance they get with side comments & constant attitude. I booked this venue last year for my wedding because of how beautiful it is & they were friendly...at first. Months passed & I called to ask about setting up a rehearsal there. They made snarky comments while I was on the phone , saying I'm stressing them out about my wedding & giving her grey hairs while the other one was giggling into the phone. Keep in mind , this is the first time I had called them.......... They will ask for the same information over & over from you. Give different information to you about the venue every time you talk to them which makes it even more confusing. After that phone call with them, i wanted nothing to do with them & no stress. I didn't reach out. And had no contact until my final walk through which went well. But the day of my wedding, it was attitude to the max right when we showed up & unnecessary side comments. The driver who took us to the venue the morning of my wedding warned me before I got out of the car about their horrible attitudes and told me to pay no mind and just enjoy my day. Which I did. My hair girl even had bad experiences there & the first thing she asked me when i sat down in her chair is how my process has been here.... I had a beautiful wedding day! I just wish these owners & workers had a bit of a brighter attitude & didn't seem so hostile/bitter all the time. Just a PSA to all future brides, save yourself any non needed stress & find another beautiful venue for your special day. read more

The venue is beautiful and has a lot of potential to be great. Most of the staff has a huge stick up their ass which ruins it for a lot of people. There is a girl that works there named Addison that is god awful and should not be working a wedding industry or be able to speak to a bride on her wedding day. My bridesmaid works in the wedding industry and was astonished about how they speak to everyone. At the end of the day, everything happened the way I planned it to in terms of food, decor and timeline so I have to give them some stars for that. I probably would not recommend someone having their wedding here again solely because of how unkind the staff is. read more

I recently had my wedding here in April and everything was perfect! The venue itself is gorgeous! I loved being able to have the option of having the ceremony on the upper lawn and having the reception down below. Hector, the property manager was so helpful and hardworking! He made the whole process and day of so easy! It was a bit cold that evening and it was great that there were heaters on stand by if we needed them! We had an event held there as a vendor and an event planner we went through hell going back and forth I do not recommend this facility since the owner is very hard to deal with . The facility is nice and beautiful is not worth it since the owner is very difficult to deal with not to mention shutting the bathrooms in the facility while it was raining and owner made us go outside and use the bathroom ?? read more

Went to a party here a couple weeks ago and the place was nice but the staff was so rude. I mean HORRIBLE. I can't imagine having to deal with them to plan a whole party. Fighting with the host in front of their guests. It was all pretty embarrassing. Wouldn't l go back here even as a guest. read more

Just had our wedding here a few weeks ago and I've got mixed feelings about Blomgren Ranch. The venue itself is paradise. It's well-kept and a lot of work is put into it to keep it looking green and fresh. Hector is a good man, personable and extremely patient. Elena (Don't know if that's how is written) is kind, knowledgeable, helpful and very attentive. We initially had booked the barn, 3 months later we get a call saying someone else had already booked it prior to us and there had been a mix up so we had to switch our initial event date to an earlier date and ended up going with the lower lawn, due to unavailability. Hector did provide us a 10% discount for the mishap. The event day came, and a lot of things went wrong. Things that could have been prevented as I had already expressed my concerns prior to booking the venue and I was reassured there wouldn't be a problem. I am not here to talk negatively about anyone. However, I do think it's only fair that future clients know what to expect. A lot of our guest, including my closest family members/relatives were treated poorly and rudely by one of the bar tenders. It is unacceptable that this continues to happen when other customers expressed their concerns prior. Luis one of the guys attending the bar was polite and courteous. The other guy was the complete opposite. I approached the bar several times to see for myself and at one point witnessed myself. I asked him for a piece of lime, his response was they were out. I had brought 3 dozen of limes per Luis Isordias recommendations. Come to find later, after the event was over and while picking up that in fact there was still a bag filled with limes in the back. The drinks (Sodas/water) were not placed in Ice at the start of the event until later once several people pointed it out. My recommendation for future clients/customer. PLEASE BRING YOUR OWN BARTENDERS. Although bartenders are included when booking the venue, I REGRET NOT INVESTING ON AN OUTSIDE PROFESSIONAL BARTENDING TEAM. read more
