Khadija guided us through the processes and checklists, and made sure we had options for other vendors that we were fully comfortable with. We were married on Nov 12, 2022, in what was going to be a fully outdoor, 150-person wedding in Nevada City, CA. Four days before our wedding, a totally unexpected snowstorm dropped four feet of snow, and we had to completely pivot everything we had planned for the past 15 months of weekly calls with Khadija. Khadija was an absolute rockstar. She was in constant communication with us - reaching out to additional vendors, the venue owner, the photographers, etc. Her calm & confident approach to a totally chaotic situation made all the difference. The planning process was seamless. I was so impressed with the attention to detail at the wedding venue walkthrough. We walked the entire venue, bounced ideas off each other for placement of every single item, and built a schematic. They even measured the venue to know exact placement of tables, chairs, etc. Planning the wedding was so easy/smooth thanks to the planning tools and check ins. Our rehearsal was straight to the point and very easy. We didn't need the full two hours allotted by our venue because they were on top of everything! Then came the wedding day. Our bridal salon overlooked the venue, so we were able to see the progress throughout the day. THEY WORK HARD!! and I mean, they pay attention to every single little detail to make sure the place looks beautiful and perfect. It was so impressive, we all couldn't stop talking about it. She was always reachable, responding promptly to emails and hopping on calls whenever we needed her. On the day itself, Sarah's efforts were nothing short of heroic. The groom and I got ready at two different locations in different cities, and yet she managed to check in on both of us before heading to the ceremony venue. Despite a tight window in the ceremony space, everything ran exactly on schedule, and she even made room for extras like a rose petal toss and extended group photos we didn't think our timeline could fit. Her team of assistants was equally polished, professional, and kind. At one point, a piece of applique fell off my dress, and I assumed it was lost for good after we'd moved between several locations. But because Sarah's team had swept every space we'd visited and kept the bags, she tracked it down so we could reattach it - the kind of diligence you'd expect from a crime scene investigator, let alone a wedding coordinator! Sarah had also agreed to transport our ceremony florals to the reception, but she went well beyond that, making sure the entire reception space was set up flawlessly. My Husband and I decided to go with the partial planning package and it was the perfect balance for us. We are from the Chicagoland area so having a planner in California where we were getting married was essential. Kimberly is also well-connected in wine country/the wedding industry and has relationships with many of the vendors who ASE has worked with over the years.
