so I bought a 18 gun Cannon gun fire safe on 11/26/2023 for $349.99. I bought this thinking like every you buy is never on the floor as a display but new in the box. I paid for it and was told they will load it for you just go to the back dock. I did and when they loaded it was yhe display model. We had to leave to drop relatives off at the airport. I went to them on 11/27/2023 and customer service told me that unless there is visible damage that they will not reduce the price even thoug it was a display model with anyone touching it and messing with it. I have bought generators, air compressor, power washer, leaf blower and trimmer from them in the past. I personally will never shop there again and anyone asks I will steal them awa. In a previous review there was much made about the popcorn. Giving my two cents on the popcorn I'd just like to say that it is "free" and not a reason to give a store one star based on one thing only ..... their free popcorn. This is my first experience shopping at a Rural King. I've shopped here quite a few times now and each time it has been a good experience. I've found things I can't buy other places such as new crate trays for the bottoms of my dog crates. It's hard to find those even online. Especially hard to find the right sizes. Their prices are very reasonable and I've been satisfied with every purchase I've made so far. The employees are super friendly and most of them have a great sense of humor. I haven't had any trouble finding help whenever I need it. Based on my past shopping experiences at this Rural King I will gladly continue coming back!! read more

It says online that they close at 6:00pm because of Holiday which I understand. I just needed to get food for my ducks really quickly since it was already 5:40pm. I get out the car and one of the employees was standing there saying that there closed. I can't get my stuff that fast? You literally close in 20 minute. read more

Is it weird to say I LOVE this place? It's like Walmart , Home Depot and Tractor Supply had a baby. Clothes, firearms, food, pet supplies, mowers, BABY CHICKS! and everything else. Walk in, grab some fresh popcorn, and start shopping. Don't skip departments, because there is certainly something you want or need there. Prices are great. Staff is so welcoming and helpful. Everyday price on a pair of RK jeans, $10.00. I bought a shopping cart for my daughter for $24.00, the same one that melissa and doug get crazy money for, it just doesn't have a brand name on it. Wanted to give a huge shout out to Jenn at Rural King today! She helped me out when my truck battery died on me and even let my puppy sit in the backseat of her car in the A.C. while we waited! Even though we eventually had to recruit another customer with a truck to jump mine off, Jenn never got frustrated or impatient and waited until I was safely on my way before she went back to work! I really liked this place until I was checking out. Brianna helped me out in the back with some feed, she was very helpful and I appreciate it. I told Brianna that I had lost 2 baby chicks out of the eight I have bought, and when I bought them I asked the manager which was a guy. That what was the warranty on the chicks and he told me that if anything happens that they will replaced them. So I told Brianna about it and she ask me some questions and I told her that I have pictures of the babies dead that I could show. So she went ahead and replaced the chicks for me and when I got to the register Lila asked me to come to the service desk and she would hell me out. Being she was on the other side of the counter I asked her for her price Gun and I scanned both feeds that I was buying then I told her about the chicks that were being replaced and proceeded to ask me for my receipt. I told here that if she can look it up and she was going too but then she ask me if it's been 3 days and I said no it's been longer but the chicks die before the 2 week mark. Management please instruct your employees the proper information, so they can give customers the correct information. I was embarrassed and Lila did not help either with her stern attitude, she could have called Brianna or a Manager to clear this. Obviously she needs customer service 101. I did not argue with her because it wasn't worth it, at least not the 10 or 12 dollars I pay for the chicks. But I'll remember next time I need feed if I could get it somewhere else, I'll try that first. read more

By far the worst rural king I've ever been to My friend got some fishing stuff from a clearance box yesterday (by the way the fishing stuff is way over priced) I went there today to get the same stuff and they wouldn't sell it to me saying that "somebody" must have put it in the box implying that it was me. Perhaps I have been lucky on each of my twice each week trips RK. Most, not all, of the employees I encounter have been polite and well trained and always ready to help. It appears the previous reviewer, Andrew, is not a happy camper because RK won't pay for his illness ( or, some other reason). For that reason he wants RK and ALL it's employees to go broke and the buying public to be without the products and services RK provides to our community. It's a pity some people don't have the brain power to understand, business is here to make money so they can pay employees and shareholders. Response to Tracey D Let me first state they do not hire people for "just making popcorn". The service desk girls are the ones doing that and as I am on the other side of the spectrum let me give you a peak into our world. We at the service desk are responsible for returns, for counting tills, answering phone calls, organizing cashier's, handling customer complaints, technical support for the registers, organizing loaders, and an array of many other tasks on top of "making popcorn". Even though we will have other registers open, customers seem to come to us for thier purchases as well instead of going to the actual check out register. When we fill that popcorn create, it is gone within minutes and we're constantly having to refill. Plus some customers seem to think it's ok to take more than one bag even though at my store it's clearly marked only one bag per customer. We can't keep that bin full. And then comes customers like you who seem to think the popcorn in the bin is older than the popcorn in the machine. It's not. We work hard dishing out so much everyday that we can't keep that crate full. Then when customers come to us to check out it takes us away from making pop corn. If we are lucky to get the bin full for 2minutes it gives us a break to go back to our other duties. So forgive us for not wanting to pull away from tasks that we're behind in just to make an extra bag because you think popcorn has time to set and get stale. I assure you, it doesn't. Sometimes I will fill the bin, and turn my back for less than a minute to find all the popcorn gone. It blows our mind how much popcorn goes and how quickly. I am sorry for the misunderstanding but there is a reason we can't Dole out a bag for customers wanting one from the machine when weve just filled the crate. My wrists hurt everyday from making so many bags of popcorn. read more

What nincompoop is in charge of this place? You serve free popcorn at the entry, which should be a great way of getting people to walk through the door and return for their needs, however, unlike the Rural King in Leesburg and other places, yours is cold, old, stale popcorn. If I wanted that, I would drive to my nearest convenience store. ATL least then it would be crunchy. You pay an employee to stand there and make popcorn but she has made 37 bags (I counted) and 2 FULL popcorn machines of popcorn, in spite of the fact that there is hardly anyone shopping in your store at present. I asked her if I could at least have a bag of corn sitting under the heat lamp and she replied "no, it's all the same". Well it is not. If it has been sitting under a heat lamp vs. out on a table in the air conditioning, it is slightly warmer. The bag I was relegated to was a cold, stale, greasy mess. Rural King, get it right. If you aren't going to serve it fresh & hot, it's not worth having, even for free. You are also wasting your money by having an employee stand there and do nothing until about 100 people wanting cold, stale popcorn walk through the door and then give her a reason to make some more. She isn't doing your hospitality and customer service any favors, believe me. I will shop in Leesburg for now on. read more
