Oddly enough, Gainesville does not have a Regal IMAX screen, so if you want this, you need to make the drive down to Ocala. Regal Hollywood gives that classic theater feel. The parking is easy with plenty of spaces. Inside the workers were friendly and helpful. The building itself is a little older (compared to Regal Celebration Pointe in Gainesville) but the seats are comfortable and the theater rooms were clean. Whether you want the IMAX experience for your next film or just a regular 2D screening, Regal Hollywood in Ocala is worth the trip.

At one point I wasn't sure if I was watching a movie or if Jake Sully was about to ask me to pass the popcorn. Speaking of popcorn: excellent. The pepperoni pizza? Surprisingly legit for movie theater food. And the soda options--so many choices it felt like a soft drink buffet. Major win. The atmosphere was super comfortable. The air wasn't freezing (thank you, Cinemark, for not turning the theater into an Arctic survival test), and the recliner seats were perfect. Even for a long movie like Avatar, we were comfortable the entire time. No back pain, no seat shifting, no regrets. Now, full honesty: there were a few slower parts where you could tell some people were this close to falling asleep. Not because the theater was boring--but because it was that comfortable. If you doze off for a minute, honestly, that's on James Cameron. Overall, fantastic experience. Great food, great comfort, and ScreenX alone is worth the trip. I ordered a spicy chicken sandwich - the bread was hard and tasted stale, chicken was very flat, dry, hard and tasted old, and then the fries were cold and definitely not freshly made. The only good part of my meal was the "no-jita". My husband ordered loaded fries and added brisket. His was also cold and not appetizing. Cheese, etc was not melted and just layered on top. And then the cost -food and two drinks + tip $92.00.. The food was worse than any fast food I have had and this cost is ridiculously high for the quality received. I suggest this theatre go back to a few items for movie snacks and make them good and hot. Will we go back - yes for the movie, NO - to ever order drinks or food. We will wait and go to a nearby restaurant for higher quality food, which actually will cost less.
